@@toethlef8994 you know the muscle that keeps you alive could stop working any second and that burned house wont matter if you died in the flames. Things arent permanent, houses burn down, motorcycles get crashed, and people die. So enjoy while you can.

My best mate has one, I've ridden it and NOTHING else compares to it.. I've ridden a v4r, ridden (and own) tuonos and rsv4's, R1's, s1krr's everything you can think of (we build and sell race bikes here in Australia together...)
The KTM is FAR and away the best track bike money can buy....
Nothing you read or ride prepares you for how amazing this things really are.

@@neutron23 I've ridden both. The m and the r1 on track are MARGINALLY different...certainly not as different as Yamaha wants you to believe.
The electronic forks are a gimmick, to go fast you need to pull them out and put proper race suspension in them...
One of the r1s we had was a 2016 sbk spec machine... it had ungodly amounts of power and handled amazingly, but there's no way around the fact that it'd 60kg heavier than the rc8c... power to weight wise, the rc8c is like a supermoto, I have a TM 450 smx Supermoto and it's the only thing I've ridden that's similar as far as being a proper race bike straight out of the box...

Yea it was cool my dad bought one. They flew him out tona track day and everything. The bike is track only and its beautiful. I hope we get a street version soon

The Bike, the Sound, the track it was all so mesmerising. It was perfect
you can literally hear how sensitive the throttle is at some points when he rolls it on. its wild how much juice that bike has.
It was so heartwarming to see Brandon laughing his heart out and giggling like a kid ! This felt like the rediscovery of a passion he always had. Made us all smile.
In my opinion, if the V4r is the closest thing to a MotoGP a by the HP a RC8C is the closest thing to a Moto2

Back in 2009 or so when KTM put these in actual production, my local dealer had 2 of these he couldn’t give away and had them on “clearance” if I knew these we’re gunna be the GOAT for track days I would have bought both
you're thinking of an RC8... that was an 1190 SDR engine. This is based on an 890 Duke R.

It's based on the Kramer GP2-R, which is still available for 30k
It is basically a Kramer GP2-RR. Eddie Roberts in the UK is the importer for them and they sell for £35,990 in the UK. But there is a lower spec one for £28,600.

not quite the same bike but I have a 1290 SDGT and have ridden an 890 Duke for 2k miles, it's crazy how similar they are, even though the 890 is a parallel not a V twin, it behaves EXACTLY like the 1290 just a smaller version. The main difference is the 890 is a lot smoother from a lot further down, you can really chug it around at 2500-3000 rpm, the 1290 is a bit shaky under 4k

Such a cool bike. As an owner of an 890 Duke R (with nearly 20k miles on it now), I've definitely lusted after this one. If you want to get even closer to a GP bike, try to get a hold of an RC213V-S! ;)

I thought I'll never say this for a parallel twin but the $40,000 price tag is somehow justified
the gap between the RC8C and a Moto2 bike is slim. And just look at the speed the Moto2 bikes go with just 140ish hp
It almost seemed like on one of Brandon laps at the last turn the front end started to lose it.
Dont forget Suter 500 mx or Tamburini t12. Pretty sure those two will rip aswell. Suter especially with 138kg. I would give alot to ride one. But i guess thats way out of my league. Anyway, nice KTM, beast.

It should represent the factory number created, so shouldnt exist 2 of them.
The production runs are usually for specific regions. It's probably 1/100 for North America.
For sure. Many supercars and hypercars (but not all of course) that have a plaque like that will just list that it is one of however many were made, not necessarily exactly which one in the production line it was. And first or last produced likely don't go to just anyone.
Depends on the year too... they have made limited runs of the same bike almost each year and I think 2023 they upped it to 200 bikes for 2023.
