      What you as a first-timer and Herman as an older man, did, was really extra-ordinary. It was a pleasure to see riding close to one another for a large part.

    Amazing test of endurance both man and machine. It tests both rider and bike to the extreme, pushing them to, and beyond, their limits. Finishing the race, whether you come in first or last, is a testament to both man and machine, worthy of honor and praise.

    Fantastic, in addition to the adventure, a beautiful part is designing your own vehicle. Then you have to calibrate the "energies" to reach your goal, what I do in a small way with my humble vehicle in just one day a week .. a recumbent and already in construction phase 😉 Congratulations again!

    This was fun to watch. Is there a website where the technical aspects of all the bikes are discussed, diffences, advantages, disadvantages, lessons learned? I didn't find a comprehensive tech report on the Sun Trip website, any advice where I should look. I have googled. Thanks. I want to see this tech grow and become commonplace, the norm.

    Is it legal to use, lets say something like a sail?

    • @Turksarama
      @Turksarama 4 года назад +1

      A sail would be hard to use. Gusts could very easily blow you over, and when there's no wind they weigh a lot.

    • @fraaggl
      @fraaggl 4 года назад +2

      a sail would necessitate a much stronger structure, therefore much heavier...
      But a light weight wind turbine would be a nice addition !

    • @Turksarama
      @Turksarama 4 года назад +1

      @@fraaggl The problem with turbines is that you can't easily extract just the component of wind which is travelling orthogonal to your direction of travel, which means you sap energy from your own forward movement. Add in conversion losses, and you tend to lose more energy than you gain.

    Je possède un vélo solaire que j'utilise au quotidien. Mais franchement, qu'y a t'il d'écologique dans un trip où on revient en avion?
    Je vous invite à regarder JM Jancovici du Giec concernant les voyages en avion.
    Pourquoi ne pas organiser une boucle qui part de France et revient au point de départ?
    Ca permettrait à des gens comme moi, très concernés par les problèmes de Pollution et de réchauffement climatique de participer à cette manif qui au départ part d'une bonne intention et qui a l'arrivée est une catastrophe écologique.

    • @TheSunTrip
      @TheSunTrip  Год назад

      Mon dieu vous êtes tellement insultant. C'est votre attitude qui est catastrophique et honteuse pour la France. Renseignez vous sur les différents projets organisés par le Sun Trip depuis 10 ans avant de nous insulter.

    • @strba04
      @strba04 Год назад

      @@TheSunTrip Pardonnez moi de l'avoir pris comme une insulte. Malgré tout je n'ai pas trouvé de gros mot dans mon texte. Je vais enlever catastophe écologique si vous voulez et le remplacer par "bilan carbone du retour très supérieur aux économies réalisées à l'aller." Ecoutez Aurélien Barault, lui est beaucoup plus "insultant" que moi sur ce sujet. Il parle de délinquance écologique. Je suis un voyageur à vélo solaire (tour d'espagne 5000km l'été dernier) et utilisateur au quotidien (très peu de déplacements en voiture).
      Mais jamais je ne prends l'avion. C'est un non sens ne croyez-vous pas?

    • @TheSunTrip
      @TheSunTrip  Год назад

      @@strba04 C'est plutot une occasion de sensibiliser des millions de gens sur les nouvelles mobilités, en faisant plus rentrer les vélos par la ligne de fret train Chine France. Bref si vous arrivez à critiquer un projet comme ça c'est que ce monde est foutu. Encore merci pour votre mépris.
