Thanks for the shout out Ed! I actually used ChatGPT to help with my title, thumbnail and research in my next video. Seriously a great tool regardless of the type of creator you are!
I've never seen such a perfectly edited video. The minutes just flew by over my head and then it was over. And i wanted more. Great job, this is an inspiration for every youtuber.
You should make long-form videos on your second channel simply letting us watch how you edit. Your editing is insane and I could see myself just watching an hour long video of you just editing each of your videos in Final Cut while I eat lunch. This would be extremely helpful.
Personally, I'd prefer less-than-live. Near live. Barely edited. I could spend an hour watching someone like you doing editing. Start with the problem the video solves. Show us some quick peeks at the visual content. Talk through some of the brain storming. Then open up your editing software, pull stuff in, start slicing and dicing, zooming in and out, panning this and that. But for me I'll be watching eagerly for how you edit sound (do you use something similar to Audacity?) When do you decide to use music, how loud do you decide to go, what intervals can music fit into - where's it useful, etc. ...does it have to be utterly unique, this advice? No. Because its you delivering it, the person I'd rather consume the information from. Cheerios!
Another fantastic video Ed! Btw, the editing on this video is INSANE! Massive props to the editor on this one. Motion graphics, slick transitions, and some tasteful sound design. Awesome stuff!
The content was great, but the effects we too noisy imo. Kinda made me lose focus at multiple points, and if the content hadn't been great, I think I would have a left. Just a piece of feedback to the channel manager
The first example of a new title is so clearly explained that it makes me want to do the exact same thing... Right now! No no, I finish watching the video first, I don't want to ruin the retention 😋
I actually wish they would offer a paid plan so you could always have access without being locked out due to overload. It's like having a super smart partner you can bounce ideas off of when you're stuck. Great video! Thanks!
A Message from ChatGPT - "Mind blown! I had no idea ChatGPT was capable of doing these tricks. Your video was so informative and the tricks you demonstrated were so creative. I can't wait to try them out myself. Thanks for sharing these amazing tips!"
OMG Ed! I just signed up for it and threw a ton of ideas at it...this thing is going to save me HOURS of work!!! It even writes tweets...with emojis...and hashtags!!!! I think you're right that we're all going to be out of work...but it is hella fun! Thank you so much xxx
i love the new energy you have. tbh am seeing a change in your presentation style back then it was chill and boring. but the new style is so engaging and fun keep it up
For those who are striving: Never give up as long as you truly want what you are doing. For me this is just for fun and I'm gonna do it still until it's fun. But it must be nice achieving a goal so here I am. Goodluck guys, I hope for the best to all of you that are grinding. Great video all around - showing the practical uses of AI while also showing that you can’t just blindly rely on it and should instead use it as a tool. Editing also was great and engaging!
So glad you’ve made this, I’ve been experimenting with AI video deals, scripts, titles and intros and it’s had some cool results that I’ve used as inspiration. Can’t wait to see what you’ve done
Thanks for the great video. I haven't watched your channel for a while as I took a little break from RUclips. Nice to be able to get back into it with some inspiration from you. Love the outdoor shooting in the snow. And wow, your channel sure has blown up since I last looked! Congrats!
For the title trick use Film Booths previous tips about researching who your audience is and what their fears are! I combined the ai tip #1 with film booths over tips from previous videos
Ed the whole presentation here was fantastic. From the text fitting in the background lines to fun and interesting sounds, most importantly, really good ideas. I haven’t tried the AI yet but these are some really useful applications. Per usual, big thanks!
When you first started talking about ChatGPT I couldn’t quite figure out how to apply it to my videos, but it’s a pretty neat tool for streamlining research and I even made a video where I used it to help me shop for an engine for my boat.
Great job on this vid, I've been using CHatGPT to rewrite old blog posts for my tour business website and there has been a significant jump in traffic in the past few months. I need to get over sucking so bad on my YT video edits, but this is all great info.
I got so confused at the end because the link to the next video didn't show up until I rewound. I love that you say "flip" and "heck"! Also love your channel and love Chat GPT!
Oh my gosh! I just discovered the most amazing RUclips content ever! Who are you, creator? How have I not seen your videos before? I watched whole clips without even getting bored! It's so impressive🔥🔥🔥🔥
The production value of this video is mind-blowing. So much effort put into effects, design, sound design etc. I would love to see a tutorial about making the graphics for story telling.
totally agree! I was more concerned with all the effects, than content on my mind was: "how they did it?" ...I would appreciate video tutorial with the hacks of video editing 😜
I started using ChatGPT last month and asked it for some video ideas, they came out pretty well and was surprised it took this long for you to upload about it
Thanks for the video, Ed. I was a bit reluctant about using Chat GPT but I just used it to generate title ideas for my new videos and even to write a freelance profile. Great stuff :)
This video escaped me for the past two weeks but I’m so glad I found it. Chat GPT has been an interesting tool for creating ideas and titles, but I definitely need to try these tips.
"Ed, the background and set in this video are fantastic. It's definitely the best physical set you've put together so far. Keep up the great work!" Note: I had ChatGPT help me rephrase my original comment to make it sound more natural. Thanks ChatGPT! ... err, Ed. ;)
Great video Ed, always entertaining! I've been having so much fun with chatgpt. It's just amazing. It's enhanced my work so much. Makes writing video scripts fun! Makes newsletter sequences easier. Feels like having a PA. I don't feel alone in my work!
I think I've watched a couple dozen of your videos in the past week or so. If in a year or two you guys see a tick next to my name, you know this guys stuff works.
So I just asked the AI to write a comment about this video (I seriously did) and here is what it said: This video was amazing - AI is the future, and Ed's take on it was inspired! Thanks for the delightful and informative video, Ed - it lit a fire of creative possibilities in me! #AITheFuture
Excellent video and useful advice even to someone who is neck deep in both RUclips *and* AI! Thank you for making it! Would love to know how you made that amazing robot swap-in too… is it a stock rendering? Did you animate and render it yourself in Blender? How did you edit yourself out to make room for it????
This is a wonderful video. I've been testing chatgpt to help with videos, in some of the same ways you have described. What is fun is also asking it to write the youtube script with direction in it. The AI will give screen direction for what sorts of shots you can do as well. I'll write a script and then ask the AI for help, rather than having it write it wholesale. It's a very handy tool, I think, as long as you're willing to keep a handle on the details and don't necessarily trust it any more than you would trust a summary of a Google search.
Ed. This is amazing. I love how you have worked out how to use AI as a tool. You are a prophet, I am your acolyte, and I am stealing this. Ima gonna make a video about how you can use ChatGPT for doing academic research. lol Maybe... my viewers might also hate HATE it. I'll have to give this some thought.
Ed your videos hold my attention insanely well. It’s inspiring for a new guy on RUclips like me making eye care videos. Watching you closely man. Would love to meet you one day😎
Can you please make a video about going about changeling our video titles for long form content? I have researched and watched so many videos about this topic but no luck so far. Thank you
Im a small channel, just started grinding last month!! Your video has been helping me so much!! Thank you so much for all your amazing content! You are the Best!!
I think your video put Chat GPT in a chokehold. LOL It's struggling to keep up. Great video. Your channel has made a tremendous difference in my own RUclips journey. I appreciate you.
AI for to help get the creative juices flowing, it’s ok. As a brainstorming tool, yes. But I worry about the wholesale cut and pasting that is bound to happen with some creators. Enter the YT AI algorithms to detect AI generated content and it’s a big mess as video after video gets flagged, even original content I’m sure 😂
Great tips 👍. As a technical writer I've had exciting language trained out of me and that's impacting my YT scripts. I'm _definitely_ going to give this a try!
I used the tips in this video to re-title 2 underperforming videos and develop a concise summary of another. I’m going to use the summary points to make an Instagram carousel! 🎉
I think the 50 year old Academics market is very underserved :) haha! Loved the video - really well-done. AI is a great tool, but remains a tool - not a solution. Learning how to use it well is a good idea, but you and your personality still matter the most.
I agree totally. Maybe it's because we're old school, but I expect to have to work hard and I want to watch videos that have personality, not just a bunch of AI ideas thrown at me. Ed always has a good presentation.
Interesting. I like the idea of helping to overhaul old videos with some fresh titles and descriptions. I need to spring clean my channel - some of the older videos deserve more attention. I tested this out on two videos and gave them brand new titles. Also updated them with chapters and subtitles while I was at it. Will be interesting to see if it makes a difference as didn't take long at all.
This editing is excellent. And the message is insightful, sincere and well thought out. AI can be used it so many different ways and it's only going to get better!
Hey Ed! I've got a question about Dodford. I'm planning to make similar videos to him but in a different niche and use video content under fair use (which I assume he does too?). The best way to use chat GPT is to learn how to create great prompts. It’s like telling an intern exactly what you want to get good outputs
