Alive is one of the greatest "Live" albums of all time. For the majority of people that don't know Kiss I would tell them to listen to Alive and Alive II. The studio albums are good too but these ones really have the energy that the band had in the 70's.
The solo for 100 000 years on the debut Kiss album has a bunch of Guitar Harmonies to it so the intro of the solo sounds a little naked. It still is a lot of fun to play though. Ace's style like most rock guitar players is very pentatonic based. He loves to use repetition.

This solo is such a great example of doing a lot with a limited vocabulary. On it's own it might not appear that special, but in the context of everything else happening it's perfect. Probably my favorite Ace solo. Great job, sounds perfect!

One of the best guitar solo's Ace created, but I once heard him say that he wished he would have played something different on that song. I'm glad he can't change it because it has some really cool aspects to it. You did an amazing job. You used some slides where Ace did some bends but it's completely undetectable to the ear.
