i think what they were trying to do is basically make a comedic parody of the songs "These Days" and "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts with some sort of trap-flavored lyrical themes. It's hilarious, especially the video, but if you listen to the original songs by Rascal Flatts you might get a little more of why the parody is so funny and how it's actually pretty accurate musically.
