And they waste a spot on king von that I can tell Ghost never heard lol
RIIIIGHT
2:00 Ghost's verse in Impossible inspired the FIRST Russian Hip Hop story telling track "About Max" (Pro Maksa) by the group Kasta, and thus actually gave birth to the whole Russian Hip Hop scene of the 2000s. Impossible to not recognize.
Maxine is the most underatted and funniest story on record ever!!!! It's a masterpiece!
true indeed
Jay-Z Meet The Parents is real real underrated. That story gives me chills.
Weak
It was tooo long and took too long to get to the point
@@humblebragger500 The thug father leaving his baby mom and kid and then his kid turns into a thug and then at the end the father didn’t recognize his son when he gets older and shoots him over some street beef. The way Jay sewed that story up was seamless and effortless.
@@retroesso the song is 5 min long
@@ArtisanWindchimes that’s long… listen to Nas Get down and watch how quickly he’s able to get to the point quickly
The story that Ghostface told on Ne-Yo’s “Get Down Like That (Remix)” was my introduction to the Wu as a whole. Found the CD by the trash can outside and pocketed the joint. By the way, that Ne-Yo album slap hard.
THE LEGENDARY GHOST FACE KILLAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my favorite emcees/character.
Kendrick - Sing about me
Nas -Fetus
Nas - I gave you power
Lost boyz -Renee
Nas~Blaze a Fifty
How dope, humble and unselfish is GFK... ❤️
1) Stan- Em
2)dance with the devil- immoral tech
3) children story -slick rick
4) rewind- nas
5) uncommon Valor - jedi mind/ RA the rugged man

Nas has so many story telling tracks its impossible to pick one...One Love, Shootouts, I gave you power etc
Yeah Blaze a 50 also. His second verse on purple.
Shootouts!
"And aint been back since 95" 🔥🔥🔥
@@rctm1313 I don't care what anybody say that song is fire..
Tied with everyday struggle in my book but from a pure story telling pov even better
Rewind
4YEO by j.Cole is one of the best storytelling songs I’ve ever heard. Should’ve been included
YES!
Nahh
I was hoping so
Much better than wet dreams
It Was A Good Day by Ice Cube & Ms.Fat Booty by Mos Def are legendary. Some of the most quotable lines are in those stories/songs.
I don't think Ghost knew Kendricks or King Von's songs he just chose one lol. Nas's song "Who Killed It" is another good story.
That’s what I was thinking too lol
I hated that song. Weird voice!
@@b.miller5087 Nas was mimicking those old mystery story tellers from back in the day but flipped it.
No real lyricist or real hip hop head is listening to King Von.
I would say “still dreaming” off hip hop is dead is the best storytelling track, I remember someone breaking down who killed it back then in detail that song went over a lot of peoples heads but it don’t really got replay value like that
Kendrick Lamar’s “Duckworth” is one the best storytelling/hip hop songs of the decade
B dot just find ways to lose credibility.
That’s beat is hypnotically insane and k dot tells a great story
How much a dollar costs, collect call, u, opposites attract, sing about me i'm dying of thirst, the art of peer pressure, tammy's song, buried alive... Kendrick got so many incredible storytelling with twists, characters, details etc he's a goat...
How much a dollar is mad corny and
@@gdfsg6454 U must like mumble rap
I know it’s not quite rap, mostly hip hop, but “I left my wallet in El Segundo” is a fantastic story song
Its hip hop man
The track is thumpin!
Agree
Ghostface - The Forest 🌳 should’ve been on this. With a dope Alchemist beat and Ghostface rapping about all the story book and cartoon characters 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That song was/still is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My top 5 favorites by Ghostface!!! Wish he would have shot a video to "The Forest" too. That's woulda been Hella Dope!
Though not has good as the forest, don't forget skunk fu either.

I was expecting “Warning” to definitely be on the list.
Wow! You right. That's my favorite Big song too. It's crazy how they didn't include that
Not gonna happen cuz Biggie and Gfk had beef back in the days 😅
@@corrosivedevourer Damn bro, I didn’t even know that
@@sbbezzy on the purple tape, Rae and Ghost dissed Biggie on a track called "Shark Niggas". Then on Life After Death, Biggie dissed Rae, Ghost, Nas and Jeru Tha Damaja on the track "Kick in the door"
Melle Mel.. The Message..
Stan was "penning" a fan letter and you could hear the pencil going across the page! What a Loon! "Stans" to this day. But what about Dana Dane?
Eminem doesn’t get his proper points
They label him pop in music though
Eminem's K.I.M was crazy too.
Dana Dane deserved an honorable mention with Nightmares

I think since it had a video...its hard to develop a visual with words without attaching them to the video....unless ur some1 who had that album b4 the video came out...

much love brother, wish you the best too
Much respect for the man Ghost. Top 5 instantly!!
I know it's autobiographical, but "All That I Got Is You" should be in the running.

LEGENDARY 🔥👑❤
Starks the Wallabee champ! Real soulful Taurus. 'All That I Got' is just one of the Ghost records that made me who I am today. Ghost and Nas are 2 of my all-time favourites ever! 🎯
Undying love 💯
Not ashamed to say this episode put me on game. Thank y’all!!!!!!
If this put you on game you can’t be a hip hop fan because they left a lot of better story telling songs off.
Pacs verse on "Still I Rise", "Pain", Nas on "Remember The Times", Scarface on "Now I Feel Ya", need to be on this list!!!
Edit: Nas "Surviving the Times"
Honestly they should have Ghost back to just rate storytelling songs by artist. Have him critique nas.. then another time critique scarface etc
Tupac tear drops and close caskets
Ghostface Killah's Yolanda's house is literally one of the best story telling songs of all time!! So salty he doesn't mention it 🤯💯
It's time people start putting Ghost in the top 5 of all time! His catalog is top shelf.
50 Cent Ghetto Qu'ran the Anthem Of Queens, One Of The Greatest Storytelling Songs Ever, and A Baltimore Love Thing too
Did already
Top 5 is the best rapper right now
I got Wu at #6 and LL #10
Dance with the Devil by Immortal Technique might be my favourite
One of the greatest hip hop songs ever
This is the best storytelling song.
its an historic gem !
Lit🐐🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ghost's verse on "Impossible" is my favorite story. Also the first-person imagery from Nas in the first verse of "NY State of Mind"
The fact Immortal Tehcnique wasn't even mentioned boggles my mind. I'm not even an underground cat like that but, Dance With The Devil was one of the rawest, most vivid, chilling stories ever told on a beat, you can't deny that.
Oh my god, how this didn’t come up is crazy.

Undeniable classic
For real!! Glad I found this comment before I wasted my time watching this fraudulent video 😅
