This ramadan has been amazing.. I have a whole new understanding of surah Yousef although I'm arab and have been familiar with the tafseer and reading of it my whole life, but this analytical explanation of the verses is just astonishing... may allah reward you and fill our hearts with the words of Allah..🍁

The Quran is really a miracle to ponder, Ustadh’s explanation is priceless. I am indeed grateful for Allah’s guidance. My curiosity leads me to ponder how did Yusuf (as) from a young boy being separated from his father’s guidance and living amongst people who are not God fearing, manage to keep his tight hold on to Allah’s rope?...it just blows my mind to think the level of guidance Allah bestowed upon him, that he never lets go whilst not having any mentor or positive influences around him....it just goes to show....are we really paying attention to all the ways Allah keeps guiding us and are we making the most of it? Be humble and praise Allah always
i wish a get incline to listen to such analytical islamic lectures by such an amazing ustaad . and i wish i get other surahs of the quraan in the same manner.
I was constantly avoiding sexually harassment by my boss (60 y o man) at my former workplace combined with toxic coworkers who constantly bullied me. It was a tiny office of less than 13 ppl. Nobody cld help me or wanted to help me. I had to endure the stress every single day while finding another job. Not a moment did i think that i want to lose myself to that old man. So I can understand how Yusuf feels but he got it worse 10x. He had nowhere to go, no one was on his side, furthermore he lives there and he cant change his job. He cant juz leave or resign. Hes a kid in the middle nowhere. So obviously if an exit presents itself to that kind of toxicity then he will definitely grasp it... jail is more beloved! If u can flip this situation, if Yusuf was a woman... Sure Yusuf is a man but man or woman, being physically/mentally attacked by creep(s) and esp if they are of a superiority who is older / married ?! supposed to be wiser, supposed to act proper.. being looked at like a slab of meat.. it just makes it more disgusting. Im sure Yusuf cant even sleep properly at night coz he doesnt know when that woman wld attack him. Yusuf is stressed out max yoz.
I'm so sorry that you have been through such a horrific and disgusting situation. As a female I know what that feels like. You feel like a prey being hunted and while people knows what's going on. They pretend to not see, hear or know it's the worst feeling ever.
It's a hard life but remember to try and earn paradise it is necessary, may Allah increase your patience and make you amongst those that he is pleased with. Ameen
Subhan Allah. I am more intrigued by the fact that you phrased it "I would never lose myself to him" if you go a little back in tafseer ustad explained that she wanted to make him lose himself. Wow
My dear sister ... Plz switch ur job Allah will give another way .. Allah is Rabbul-Alameeen without switching u can't protect ur self .. Yusuf .A.s change his place. He no longer hold ..!!
Ustad, it’s so good to see and learn from you again. I was genuinely concerned when I didn’t see you for a few days. May Allah reward you and your family abundantly. May Allah accept all our ibadat and forgive us our shortcomings, Ameen

Summary(Important Points) Surah Yusuf Part 33: Prison is more beloved. 1. Disclaimer: Some of the things mentioned in this summary may not appropriate for children. 2. Yusuf(AS) is not only in danger mentally or figuratively, he(AS) is in danger physically. She is now using her authoritative position to control Yusuf(AS). 3. The famous Hadith means that if you can't change the evil by hand then change it by the mouth. And if you can't change it by mouth, then you feel bad about it in the heart. If you have the power to change it, then change it. You can't be silent/complacent. 4. Even though she made a threat to him(AS), there is no response to her, Yusuf(AS) responded to Allah. 5. Also, this "DU'A" seems to be told inside his(AS)'s heart, not out loud. 6. There is a popular view that if Yusuf(AS) had worded his(AS)'s "DU'A" differently, then he(AS) wouldn't have gone to jail. 7. Imam Qurtubi said "HOKIYA" meaning "It has been said" in his "TAFSEER". The word is obscure and no narration has given. 8. This version claimed that Allah spoke to Yusuf(AS). This is the highest form of speech, so it should have the highest level of authenticity, meaning the Qur'an. Yet nothing is mentioned in the Qur'an. 9. Also, Allah said that He will teach Yusuf(AS) the interpretation of all kinds of speech. These words are showing obedience, loyalty to Allah in the most beautiful way. So, saying these words are a mistake seems to be a mistake. 10. These words teach us that obeying Allah means that this world will be like being in jail, and we have to hold on to Allah as he(AS) did. 11. Also, saying that Allah put him(AS) in jail because he(AS) said that it was more beloved to him(AS){which he(AS) said out of love for Allah) doesn't paint a very nice picture of Allah. And that's not the kind of "RAB" that we are introduced to in the Qur'an. 12. The words "more beloved" comes twice. The first time the brothers were willing to do a wrong thing for the love of Allah's creation. Allah let them getaway. Now Yusuf(AS) is saying the correct thing for the love of Allah, and this statement says that Allah corrected him(AS). It does not make sense. 13. Everyone has desires. We should try to control them by holding on to Allah and then praying to Allah for help. Yusuf(AS) has no shame acknowledging his(AS)'s weaknesses to Allah, we should do the same. 14. Desires make us like kids, they stop all reasoning, self-control skills in our body. 15. By doing this type of wrongdoing(the type that involves other people), you don't just care about your afterlife, you don't care about that other person's afterlife too. 16. Give others the benefit of the doubt, not yourself! Don't lie to yourself! 17. You can have guidance and still your heart can get deviated. 18. Cut off the ropes that pull you away from Allah and then turn to Allah and ask His protection constantly. This ends the summary. Anyone who thinks I have missed some point is welcome to reply but please give the time in the lecture when Ustad Nouman Ali Khan talked about it so that I can be sure. JazakaAllah Khair
In psychology you have a double bind. “You will either do what I tell you or you will go to jail “ where there is an illusion of choice but no choice. Seems like she has done that and he has chosen an option he’s been given.
My position in what I do in everything is lightwork. Meanwhile that i listen investigate and observe according to my experience in what has been taught to me, 10 years, hands on living real life experience.
I agree with your interpretation! Allah knows what's best for us regardless of what we ask from Him. He always gives us what's best for us regardless of our duas.
This one is one of the most remarkable khutbah’s in this series, it just hits different! Makes you reconsider your deeds and wrong doings and things that you do knowingly that you’re sinful by doing them, and it personally moved me to that point that I decided to just stop doing it, although it seems impossible for me.
Another amazing episode. Alhamdulilah, the next one is tomorrow inshaAllah! I need my daily dose of Surah Yusuf tafseer...something I really look forward to and this time I had to wait 2 whole days for ! I am so glad it will continue even after ramadan. These sessions are just not long enough.

Right now Allah is distinguishing the wrong doers and the corrupters, from the true ones that are doing the right thing. So meanwhile it has to run its course
Masha'Allah amazing! ... Its also feels like he chose self respect too, (something that we all battle with Shaitaan) Its also like a escape option, that he won't have to deal with these women, i feel like Allah gave him an escape option. ... also with your comparisons its like Musa (a.s) ran away from prison and escaping but Yusuf (a.s) is "like" running towards prison to escape. Then again Allah knows best, May he guide us

Aslamu Alikum, Brother Nouman In reference to the Jail subject we can also look at it from the following perspective a) This was part of the Plan of Allah b) Considering the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that the world is a like a prison for a believer hence the thought to choose an extension to another worldly prison for a believer for the love Allah is expressing the acceptance to the test Allah put on to Prophet Yousouf عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ
33. He said, “My Lord, prison is more desirable to me than what they call me to. Unless You turn their scheming away from me, I may yield to them, and become one of the ignorant.”

Alhamdulillah i can see again my teacher 😊
Thank you very much this is amazing !
Remember, the Quran is is is is the truth!
Masha'Allah amazing!
... Its also feels like he chose self respect too, (something that we all battle with Shaitaan)
Its also like a escape option, that he won't have to deal with these women, i feel like Allah gave him an escape option. ... also with your comparisons its like Musa (a.s) ran away from prison and escaping but Yusuf (a.s) is "like" running towards prison to escape.

Thank you for improving the sound
Alhamdulillah
Maşallah brother 😇
33. He said, “My Lord, prison is more desirable to me than what they call me to. Unless You turn their scheming away from me, I may yield to them, and become one of the ignorant.”
Finallyyyyy the next part is here 😍
But sound is low😔

After two days of agonising wait, I found this video was put on facebook 10 hours ago.... (15hrs ago now).
Some of us don't use facebook, so have no way of knowing when it's posted.
Thank you for all you do. Can you please upload it on RUclips same time as Facebook. It would truly mean a lot.
