    colleen, I have a suggestion for a topic, it MIGHT be too personal, and it's totally ok if you don't want to talk about it.
    But you always talk about your religious upbringing, and church and all that. And the Halloween stuff and all that. But when I see Gwen on videos and Rachel's podcast, she doesn't seem like a fanatic, she seems actually very kind and respectful and progressive. Was there some like light that shone on your parents for them to grow beyond the Church's limitations? Was it gradual, just them keeping up with the times? were you the one contesting things first, or trent/chris/rachel?
    Again, I know this might be personal, but whenever you bring up religion and your college and stuff, I always get so curious to know how your family went from point A to point B

Yes of course Gender is a spectrum and can change over time as someone grows into their self BUT you are allowed to have stereotypical thoughts of genders. I am someone who had to medically change to be my correct gender BUT I will still find out the gender of my baby, I still imagine certain things when I think "Boy" and certain things when I think "Girl" it does not make you a bad person! You love for Flynn and your unborn babies is so visible and that is all that matters. Don't feel scared to have those thoughts and day dreams. Jordan, thank you so much for posting this comment. I was considering writing a comment about how, as a Trans guy, I’ve always imagined myself as becoming a parent to a baby boy. I’ve always wanted a baby girl, too, but it’s just my life experience that I was a “girl”, born after an older boy, and I related to the boys and guy characters and my first baby cousin was a boy and it’s just the experience I’ve grown up seeing. I can’t think of the right words right now but I just wanted to thank you again, and to thank Colleen and Christopher for being open with their conversation of the concept of mourning the thought of the life you imagined in the other way.

    I'm sure this sounds weird, but if you're worried about being out of the house with the twins and Flynn, you might want to teach Flynn to hold onto something that you're wearing, like a keychain or something that you can attach to a belt loop on your pants, or the strap on a bag you're carrying. This way you can know that he's staying close to you, but you'll also have your hands free to carry the twins.

For those struggling with infertility, the idea of brokenness is such a heartbreaking psychological component of the condition and can really damage a person's sense of self during the process of trying to conceive. Omg THANK YOU. I found out a couple months ago that I'm having a boy and I feel so sad about it, but more than that I feel so guilty for feeling this way. I never thought I'd ever have a boy, I grew up with 5 sisters and already have a girl. I imagined my children being sisters and that has been a hard thought to let go of. Thank you for helping me through that. I'm crying feeling a bit better knowing I'm not completely a terrible person 😭

    It is super interesting taking care of twins and keeping them safe in public places, my husband and I have perfected the technique of one of us following one and the other following the other around as they explore and play. Randomly throughout the time we switch also so that we both get time with each of our daughters. It is so fun, but they do learn quickly that when they run in opposite directions that I can't chase them both. I've been really looking into a backpack leash for this exact reason!

    When I was in a car wreck on the interstate, someone had ran me off the road into the concrete guard, the police officer had to use that technique to stop traffic so I could move my car to the right side of the road and not be hit. It's definitely a useful maneuver and I was thankful when he did it.

Your husband truly thinks you are a superstar for growing his three kids, and you should too. The segment of this video where you are talking about being a mom and still pursuing your dreams just makes me so proud to be a woman and just inspires me to still pursue my dream of being a mother but also my career dreams too. I think every woman is raised knowing that once you have kids, your life just revolves around being a mother and a mother only and so many women give up their passions and dreams outside of that. I appreciated your vulnerability about talking about this subject and made me emotional too. I just love how passionate you are about your career and being a mother and making sure it’s known that women can to do both. Not that you guys might know, but some people with autism and adhd tend to over-explain things. The guy with the ice cream might have really loved ice cream, and wanted to share. People with autism don’t understand social cues as well, so they don’t always know when you are not interested unless you explicitly say it. Not saying the guy is autistic, but not everyone you interact with will be neurotypical, and I think it’s good to be mindful of that.

    • @hernameispekka_Rebecca
      @hernameispekka_Rebecca 3 года назад +3

      That is fair, and as an autistic person I know how it is to want to go on with a topic. But it's also fair for others to not want to listen, haha. Especially in a professional exchange. And as others have said, sometimes that kind of schpiel is something manegement pushes the workers to do. Or it was just a really enthusiastic proud owner.
