I love how Colleen and Erik really compliment each other’s parenting styles. Colleen can’t do anything with bugs but Erik is so great with Flynn about that. And then Colleen is so good with Flynn when he starts talking about ghosts and Erik is like NOPE!!! It’s so great to know that their partnership is so strong and flexible together!

I agree that the adult diaper stigma shouldn't be a thing..but, as a nurse, peeing in a diaper and continuing to wear it can cause UTIs, so use cautiously! :)
As a RN who cares for geriatric pts, if DEFINITELY DOES NOT CAUSE UTI'S. The cause of UTI'S is because bacteria is in the urethra. Indwelling catheter poses WAY MORE if an issue, because insertion of the catheter can introduce bacteria in the blatter. Actually, adult briefs, as long that they are changed on a regular basis, at minimum 3 times a day, with proper peri care, they do not pose a problem with UTI, or skin breakdown.

I've seen comments say something about something called a pure wick? Is that a less risky version of a catheter? If so, that might be the best option?
Quinn Bailey you are so right! Because when I pee when I puke I get utis because I am to sick to even change and it’s barely anything and usually in the er waiting room forever and can’t change. Catheters haven’t given me utis though.
As someone who was pregnant and had pelvic girdle pain….. GIRL I FEEL YOU. Wear a diaper, do whatever you gotta do.

Flynn and his brother and sister are going to have the absolute best childhoods that they won’t have to recover from later in life. They’ll look back and be so proud to have such incredible and loving parents. And honestly that’s the BEST gift you could give a kid ❤️

Erik and Colleen as a diaper wearer my whole life (Born with Spina Bifida) so I cannot control my bowel or bladder and the endless teasing that I got growing up I am glad I have two people who support the idea of taking the stigma out of it. THANK YOU! Which leads me to my next statement and sadly there is a maximum hold and eventually you will leak through them.
Wasn't this non-judgemental conversation just so refreshing!? I don't have incontinence issues myself but I'm aware of the huge stigma and it made me so happy to hear this conversation.

The way you talked about diapers in the beginning was actually more awesome than you can even imagine. There is a HUGE stigma around incontinence, especially in adults, and you guys having such a non-judgemental and non-jokey conversation about that is basically disability advocacy!

@@AMomWithRocksAndBooks Just keep trying! There are different folds you can try to make it more comfortable and there is definitely a learning curve! It gets easier once you are able to get it in the first time. Take a deep breath and relax (no podcast pun intended). If it doesn't work don't get too discouraged just try again and if you find its not for you that's okay too!

I have ADD, Narcolepsy, Depression, and Anxiety and the fact that I'm messy therefore our house is messy drives me husband crazy. And the guilt I feel from being a disorganized mess is horrible. I see you Colleen. 💜
My husband has ADD, and I have horrible anxiety/depression and chronic illness so the voice in my head that wants everything perfectly clean for me to relax but the fact my body won't let me do it sometimes, and his ADD paralysis and the fact that it doesn't bother him when shit is a mess doesn't mix well at all! But we find ways to make it work and he tries to help. It was a long road though.

During postpartum I would be waddling to the bathroom at full speed and trying to make it to the toilet while holding my newborn because my ex was a sperm donor and not a parent. And I wouldn’t make it to the toilet and I would have to pee in the diaper because I could not hold the pee, and then I would have to replace the diaper. 🥰 just girly things 🥰🥰🎉🎉

I'm not even pregnant and I refuse to even attempt falling asleep unless I know without a shadow of a doubt that there is nothing in my bladder. I press on it several times to confirm. Then I feel relaxed enough to fall asleep. Colleen, wear diapers to bed proudly! I absolutely support you!

My husband has suffered from severe ulcerative colitis for 7 years. He has to wear diapers all the time in case he doesn't make it to the toilet. He has embraced it and it's saved him so many times. We are in our mid thirties raising 5 kids. No judgment here!! Wear them if it helps you.

I actually had that same experience as Erik with not wanting kids and not wanting to get married. I never wanted that either until I met my boyfriend and it surprised me. But he is my EX boyfriend now and I'm back to not wanting kids and marriage again. But I miss that feeling of being so crazy in love.

I have ADHD and my husband does a great job helping me socially and emotionally. He learned early on like Erik said to not take things personally. I tend to interrupt people, not listen for more than 2 mins, and I hate that about me. I have stopped my meds because we have been trying for a baby for almost a year and I am worse now than I was for the first 5 years we were together. I think it's just important to be understanding towards one another, and I think that goes for any relationship.
Also, cannot relate more than "If I don't say the thought I have right now it is GONE FOREVER." Sammmeeee.

This podcast actually helped me realize how myself and my longtime partner are with our own ADHD. That we are different and alike with some traits. For example, I noticed that he completely blanks on objectives that are right in front of him. Such as not finishing a job, like not closing the fridge after putting the groceries away, saying he will put the trash out later and is surprised the next day that he didn't. Whereas for me, I can finish jobs, (most likely because I have anxiety) but I can't think critically while he can. I can't think more than three steps ahead where he can think of a whole map ahead. Really is amazing to learn and acknowledge each other's strengths and weaknesses, especially to know how to help each other out at our lower points.
They NEED to do a ghost experiences episode! Like this if you want so they can see this if you agree😭😭

I have a question about acting for Erik. In Lucifer, you were in a body cast for a scene. How was that look accomplished? Was it like the top of a cast they laid on you? How long did you have to be in that get up? Was it uncomfortable? Explain this experience.

My baby cousin wanted to be a trash man when he grew up from the age of 2 to 5. He waited out for them every garbage day with two Dr Peppers for them. This brought back happy memories

OMG thank y’all so much for talking about ADHD and relationships. I have the same inner dialogue when my partner talks to me. The embarrassment of having to ask him to repeat something he said five seconds ago is SO real. I thought I was the only one! The taking the plate and learning to like cleaning…my partner does the same thing. THANK YOU for having an amazingly open and honest dialogue about it. This made me feel less alone and helped me understand how my partner navigates when it comes to my ADHD. Much love and thanks! PS- CONGRATULATIONS on the little ones on the way❤️
it’s funny how your podcast is called “relax” because it helps ME relax so much and helps me get in the zone when i am drawing/painting (or just create any kind of art) and i love it so much because i can start drawing and it’ll feel like 20 minutes but it we’ll end up being 10:00 p.m. or 2:00 a.m.
Girl, I understand the not wanting to get out of bed thing because literally with my twins my pelvic pain was SO bad I would be in excruciating pain having to just move my legs to the side of the bed to get up. And I totally understand the diaper thing. Nooo judgment at all. Lol However…I don’t see being able to do it lol. I’m not sure I could let myself pee in a diaper. Give it a try haha. I use diapers overnight for my period so I don’t have to get up and change my tampon so often because it can be heavy. No shame at all lol.

As someone who had severe pelvic girdle pain with both of my pregnancies beginning my first trimesters. I am fully on board. DO IT! I never have peed in a diaper as an adult. However, I want to know how this goes!
