@@TickleMePinkGamingis there a way to rank the order at which grenades are thrown first out of your chestrigs or pockets like a few wipes ago? If I picked up a few grenades in raid like smoke flashes or other, my character LOVES picking the worst option for the situation at random after simply pressing G. I know you can keybind them, but I don’t want to reach to press 6 or 7 instead of just pressing G like I’m used to
I did tests in factory a few wipes ago, and now a few days ago about grenade ranges, strategy for surviving them, and fragmentation. To put it simply: For you to consistently be hit with even one fragmentation from an f1 you'd have to be 1-2m inside the death radius of it: It is completely useless baring the 1 in a million chance it hits you in the face or throat. (Which happened once to Jesse) Grenades do damage to each of your body part depending on their proximity to it, so it only needs to do 36 damage to your head to kill you, meaning 9/10 you either take zero damage or die instantly to grenades. Best strategy against them is to run away from them, but if you can't do so there's two others, one you've already shown which is: Turn around and prone. This moves your body parts further away from the grenade, effectively lowering the total damage you take from it, but most importantly moves your head to furthest, potentially instant kills. But most of the time you will not be quick enough to do this, so otherwise, IF the grenade is on the ground (and therefore your head is the body part the furthest away from the grenade, taking least damage; if in the air, your head will take the most damage) and you can't run away nor prone away from it, simply look up (aim up), this shifts your head only a little bit upwards and back, but it can be enough to save your life, and consistently did so in my, not so precise tests.
one thing i would like to point out for flashbangs is you can get them super cheap on the flee and are amazing and getting rouges/raiders/bosses to run out of cover for free kills
I have been using almost exclusively the M67 and the M18 smoke for the last couple wipes now, and they are heavily underrated grenades. The great throw strength and bounciness of the grenades means you can get an M67 pretty much anywhere you want, even with a low strength level. The longer fuse time is really helpful when you mess up a throw, giving you a couple extra seconds to get out of danger. Those extra seconds surprisingly don't really matter when used against an enemy; it has a slightly larger blast radius anyways, and most PMCs just assume that your grenade has a 2-3 second fuse time. The extra blast radius is good for clearing rooms, I once threw an M67 into the factory office and it killed one PMC on each end of the room. Those extra seconds can be used for utility too, allowing you to push your own grenades easier and holding an enemy off for slightly longer. Overall I think they are just the best standard fragmentation grenade in the game.
interesting observations. the 5s fuze is what kept me from using the m67 much but i can see your points. going to take another look at them from your tactical pov today.
The green smoke is loud, great to throw at the enemy, sight and sound blocking. I smoke bodies, doorways, hallways even just for distraction and wtf factor. This guys really using smoke in Tarkov? Totally underrated and underutilised. So cheap too, why not just have 1 more tool or possible option?

Awesome info learned some stuff here. Fun fact the impact nades always headshot kill for some reason and avoid armor. It's really a good way to finish the headshot with an pain effect quest.
@@TickleMePinkGaming Yeah one of my friends who farms impacts on Reserve showed me that. There is a difference in arming time in the air and varying lethal impact range between the two, but for both, it does not matter if you hit the floor the wall or their foot, it always is an instant head shot for some reason. Not sure if it's a bug. I've gotten 3 double kills, one time with an Altyn enjoyer. Every single was was a headshot. They aren't very common anymore, but this is why when people threw them at you it seemed like it either killed you instantly or you just walked away saying "wow that was close how did that not hit me?"
Awesome video, even at +4000h hours, I still learned nice things ! About having only type grenade in a raid, I actually like to have a mix between short and long fuse time (2 M67 + 2 F1/RGD for instance), and I bind them always the same keys (like 8, 9, 10), so I know which one I'm throwing. So noneed to put them in backpack (also I drop my backpack to fight so I would forget it lol). Both fuse times open different plays, so as you said I like to have the option : ) One thing I find important you didn't mention is their actual weight : F-1 for instance are the heaviest afaik with 0.6 kg (vs 0.3 for M67 and RGD), so switching from F-1 to RGD for a loadout often can make the difference from being overweight or not ! I also usually take one flashbang per raid, if I wanna make a scav move without too much noise for instance. Also yeah, M67 is love < 3
Does he really pull grenades out of the pockets randomly? I thought it was first pocket, then first column in rig, then next pocket, second column in rig, etc.
I have always turned my back towards grenade explosives or laid down in a position facing away from them and lived every single time. I believe it's a part of the game that nobody ever talks about, but exists that you can mitigate grenades insta killing you just by reacting
M67 'nader for life. I got that high arc down to a science. Just need to get used to guessing the arc and knowing where it's going to air burst. Zero noise other than the pin pulling. Hits like a truck
Flashbangs are really useful for scavs. They will also scare a PMC once most of the time, multiple times against timies. Useful when engaging, or scav checking, but don’t rely on them.
If you're a nerd like me you can have your 9 and 0 slots binds for quick draw to seperate grenades (i have bind C "slot9" for smokes and Y "slot0" for flashbangs ispired by my CSGO days) Dont really find too much use of the smoke quickdraw so i utilize this for m67 mortar strikes most of the time. I miss the old times when the grenade shortcut would take grenades in the order they were placed to your rig and pockets
Flashbangs are really good when there's room with 1 entrance, but ton of cover. You underhand a flash at the doorway and the enemy will still keep looking at the door since they're expecting you to push off the nade, but end up flashed since they were looking at it go off.
I usually carry both M67s and F-1s, F-1s are my spam throw for when im hurt and trying to fall back. A lot of concussion and chaos lets u shift. M67 is the push grenade, long timer lets me clear someone by them hearing landing and i have time to shift and hold an angle that it opened for me before it goes off
I always have m67s on me, i also learned the airburst thing from watching willerz. How far m67s will go is awesome to. M67 is best over-all gernade imo
12:07 here's a tip to counter the issue you are talking about instead of having to get inside your backpack. I put my nades in my pockets, and the left pocket is the one you'll pull first when you hit G. So I will have VOGs in the first slot or 2 (and always the same type), and then m67 in the next available slot. That's because when you hit G a second time with the first nade in your hands, it will pull out the next TYPE of grenade in order of your inventory. So it skips the second VOG, and pulls the 67. That way you have your "oh shit" nade slot, and you don't have to get into inventory to pull out the "what this shit" nade.
Anyone reading this and thinking it's helpful should know there's also a downside to this method. If you hit G a second time and then toss that grenade...your character will then pull the first type of grenade out. So instead of throwing a grenade and swapping to your weapon like normal, it'll pull out the first grenade. Just something to note so you don't push right after launching your 67 and then die because you expected your gun to be pulled out.
smoke grenades in labs is a god send. Friends were laughthing at me until they understood how strong it is.. i manage many time to disengage a fight and go to the extract just because of that. you need to have balls to push a guy trought smoke in a doorway or hallway.

I've got my grenadier done with m67s this wipe that grenade is insane got like 5-6 kills out of the 8 while I was doing the quest and Im over 15 grenade kills I would recommend it on all outside maps and inside maps as well
best use for flashes is just throwing them to make scavs yell/find killa lmao. really wish the non lethal utility in this game was better and maybe even add pure concussion grenades because stuff like actually useful smokes would bring so many interesting possibilities and fun fights. also with you could choose the order you pull grenades with G and/or make it so that grenades that are bound to a slot won't be pulled with g unless it's the last nade since bringing in more than 1 type of grenade is a massive pain in the ass rn.

I like to be in the mindset of playing csgo or other shooters with grenades when I use the M67, since they are just as bouncy and have around the same fuze time (excluding games where you can cook them), Really wish they give a little more of a buff to smokes and flashes in the future.
I have to be brutally honest with you man, this is a skill issue. Out of all of these grenades m67s net me the most kills and you seem to be using them poorly.
M67 was my first Grenade kill, a double kill in Dorms when I was just into the Game 2 Months ago, since then it holds a special Place for me. The Situation was absolut Chaos and I tossed one down the stairs after they threw up a F-1, got a Headshot kill and his Buddy was blown away also 😁
90% of players don't notice the type of nade thats being thrown at them, which is why M67 pushes are my favorite in places like Dorms, Health Resort, and other building fights, it's really easy to get people off angle's with them and close the distance while the fuse is going off, then get on them or kill them right after they get ear fucked by the blast. I love my little green pocket nukes.
Can somebody tell me what is that ricochet noise when you throw a grenade and do other people hear it? I swear to God it's so loud but I never hear it when other throw the nades
@@Josh-jw3go I mean when you throw the grenade, not when it explodes. You hear this loud clap noise, idk if that's supposed to be the sound of the pin dropping or what but it's a loud clap
@@MerrStudio That's the sound of the grenade igniting when you throw it. There's a spring-loaded lever attached to the grenade, that's referred to as the "spoon," that has to be released for the grenade fuse to ignite. The pin holds the spoon in place, so it must be pulled to free the spoon. Once released, the spoon *pops* off, which can be loud. That's the sound you're talking about. In Tarkov grenades cannot be "cooked," so the spoon can only be released as the grenade is thrown. As far as I know, not all the grenades do this. I forgot which ones do though.
A good thing to keep in mind if you do want to run different types of grenades in the same kit is that you can bind the grenades to your quick slots, so if you want to bring fused and impact grenades you could bind the impact to quick slots and always bring out a fused grenade when pressing G (or whatever you have grenade switch bound to). Niche, but useful.
@@RyleZorNot random. If you put these in a specific order in your pocket it will use these in this order. I.e pocket 1 is F1, pocket 2 is M67 and pocket 3 is a bang. You will throw F1 first, then the M67 and then the bang.
Good point to add to the RDG-5, is you can carry 2 of them for the same weight as an F1, so if you are low level thats helps kit weight.
I never knew that man, good shout.

I have to be brutally honest with you man, this is a skill issue. Out of all of these grenades m67s net me the most kills and you seem to be using them poorly.
yoo the discord leaks were real we're making it out of Tarkov with this one
whaaat
Love these videos man, keep grinding cause I need something to watch😂
Ty for watching boss
M67 mortarman is the most fun shit ever
Not sure if you mentioned it but grenades are taken out from left to right from your hotbar, if you have them hotkeyed
This was changed with patch 12.0
Great details and straight to point. 500h in and never knew how they bounce and the amount of ways using them, really great job m8! o7
My favorite strat is air bursting witg the vog 25s and 17s
And flashs are only for checking for bosses or scavs
Go ahead and give this man a sub
Still learning new tricks after 7000 hours, thanks for this in depth video!
Can somebody tell me what is that ricochet noise when you throw a grenade and do other people hear it? I swear to God it's so loud but I never hear it when other throw the nades
It's supposed to mimic super sonic shrapnel flying past your head
Learned so much, keep those videos up!!
Yes sir
3000 hours in n I never thought about grenade characteristics other than area denial and flushing. Very much appreciate this

Most important feedback to this. You do not throw a football. You kick it. With your foot. 😉
85% of my audience is American
@@TickleMePinkGaming yeah it was a joke. Still not logic that you call it football though.
great video as usual
huh, its one of the best guides for nades I have ever seen, didnt know that much about m67
I tried this but didnt find it useful personally
Are you saying if i bind it to say 9 and hit g it will select the 9 binded nade over the rest?
@@Chevalier_knight No, you press 9 instead of G to use the grenade. G will always be random.
This
@@RyleZorNot random. If you put these in a specific order in your pocket it will use these in this order.
I.e pocket 1 is F1, pocket 2 is M67 and pocket 3 is a bang. You will throw F1 first, then the M67 and then the bang.

As a grenade main this is great info
based
Top tier content, Tickle. From the ashes of cycle he rises again!
Love the detailed explaination of each nade, great video!
Flashbangs are OP (from a FB enjoyer) :)
Fb enjoyer?
@@TickleMePinkGaming Flashbangs shorten
Ohhhh, if they concussed more off sound id love them
Pow Pow!! Letsssss gooooo
Bang Bang
do you use toggle or hold aim?
Toggle aim on every game for me, in my experience hold aim leads to too much tension and messes up my aim
Right on was curious what tickle use. I’m toggle too but see a lot of W key players run hold.
Check out my keybinds guide man!
wait i have just one question, how far does the shrapnel travel after explosion?
Im sure its the listed range in the nades text so say 5-7m
It travels really far but loses damage with distance fast
If you know how to place grenades in your rig they are not random you keep saying random they are not.
Pretty sure they are
Unless something was changed and im uninformed they are random it doesnt follow the pocket rig row hierarchy afaik
It was changed to random couple wipes ago.
