"Do you insist on Philipps? Or do you you want quality rightaway?" Popular saying in the 1950s/ 1960s. I learnt from Philipps employees. WEll, at least these projectors became really good before they were discontinued by Kinotone. Our image in the theatre is among the best I know of. Stability, evenness of light, silent running, sound pickup. Can't be any better on a well serviced Kinotone FP 30 D from the 2000s/ 2010th years.
Hello from France! I’m just starting to seriously collect 35mm prints and I recently got an FP20 in poor condition that needs restoration. I was wondering if you might have a wiring schematic to help me convert it to work on 220V mono power or some tips on how you dit it? Thanks a lot! ;) Best, Alexis
What type of FP 20 do you have? The old (1st series) where nothing was built into the back door. Or the later versions where relays and capacitors/connection strips were placed in the back door. Best Regard Wesmovie
@@fp20wesmovie87 a later version I think as I have a whole plate with electronics (capacitors, relays ect ) in the back door. Just removed the whole plate to clean the projector Thanks!

Hey could you cover setting the feed and takeup tensions?
Interesting question, yes I can. It will be ready in a while, and it will be on-line.
@@fp20wesmovie87 thanks! Just found your channel and throughly enjoy it!
Наверное шумно в процессе работы. Цепная передача.
Нет, бежит бесшумно. Хорошо зарекомендовал себя!
