Hello RUclips and People Of the interwebs! Susan Triad is on her way, but how, why and when does she relate to the TARDIS being broken?? I think I’ve figured it out…

It’s the Tardis trying to hold back the memories in the fob watch. the memory Tardis console room is trying to contain it but feel it going to spill over
Theres a Tales of the TARDIS scheduled for the 20th of June on BBC4. Its 1 hour and 16 minutes which is shorter than the previous ones 1 hour and 30 minutes but there's no episode information yet.
I have a feeling you’re not far off.
I actually am more interested in Mrs.Flood! She’s in both parts of the two parter, she has multiple 4th wall breaks, the perception filter doesn’t work on her, and she knows What a tardis is! I also believe they semi confirm that she has some knowledge of the doctors actions on the present. In the church on Ruby road episode after seeing the tardis disappear, she sets up a lawn chair.. and her flask.. and waits for him to return. When he does she says “you’ve been a busy man” or something to that effect but from her perspective she wouldn’t normally know he had done anything other than move the tardis across the street.
I think Mrs. Flood is River Song. And I have absolutely nothing to back it up with, other than her name: Melody Pond, River Song.....Mrs. Flood. And that she seems to know what a Tardis is.
The Rani??
Another take, I've been thinking it's time flips as to why she does/does not recognize the TARDIS (if this isn't just pretending not to) but what if it's curiosity/ being nosey, she thinks it odd thus investigates then finds out. Perhaps that leads to a meeting with the Susan of Triad technologies and maybe taking the use of the TARDIS tech down some sinister path....
I also previously noted that the boostrap paradox/ 'who wrote Beethoven's Fifth'/ Doctor playing the theme tune happens in 'Before The FLOOD' - two fourth wall breaks echoed by those this series (Doctor's 'there's always a twist at the end'/Mrs Flood's 'never seen a TARDIS?') and Maestro playing the theme tune plus TV with The Giggle's laugh broadcast and as referenced in Rogue, Beethoven not existing, The Beatles losing their music etc, all feels kinda important, clever throwbacks either way, could the relevance be that to me this series seems a bit bootstrap paradoxy at times....
@@lbernauthere’s not really a way it can be River. First death we saw, she regenerated into Mel. Mel into River. River gives up regenerations.
You're right and this flask make me thing that it could be another character: Iris Whildthyme who can travel within the metaverse. She used to live in Camden on earth, we have seen that the giggle chaos scene is taking place in Camden, plus Iris love to drink: Gin&Tonic! Why would the doctor mention being from the "Gin Tonic Division" to Ruby? Is this a joke or a reference to Iris Whildthyme... Lastly her Tardis is a London Bus and we have seen a lot of London buses, she also somehow is not completely a Timelord but also a god, can she be part of the Pantheon? Iris keep telling the doctor that they already met several time or been there at the same time but the doctor never remembers her. Iris also dropped once some Gin Tonic onto the time vortex once and almost destroyed it.
The synopsis for the Episode refers to a Time Window - my guess is that UNIT have been able to use Triad tech to create a way of seeing through time, not travelling through it
Iirc, in the Madame De Pompadour, the technology the Clockwork Droids to travel to France is also called a Time Window.
Or a gateway that only lasts for a period of time before the window closes.
Yeah after looking it up they were called Time Windows. Although that episode wasn't the only appearance of them, a 4th Doctor story titled Lost in Time had a character called The Shopkeeper who could also open them up, at least according to the Doctor Who wiki
Suketh Russell said something about loving the pyramid of Mars
Definitely could have used a meme of MatPat saying “but that’s just a theory.. a who theory”
Well, you were right about the Sutekh part.
And the Tardis.
She can’t build a TARDIS because it is not just Technology but Sentience and without them it’s just a box of bolts, it’s alive, it’s alive.
She can't but she might not know it was alive and tried to make some level of similar machine maybe ahha
@@lunaflower4507 something similar? where did she get the super nova to shove in, just putting in a copper top is not going to power the thing
@@WayneJones-l5qtbf it is doctor who, they could explain it away with anything and we'd just have to accept it e.g the timeless child
@@lsg7117 that is very true, can always go with some lame unsatisfying, ex machina, macguffin answer they pull out their literal rear ends but that just gets the show to lose more of its fan base and go back on the shelf for 20 years again faster
Maybe she knows how to grow one?
Here's my theory:
-Susan Triad is the leader of Triad Technologies that has been hinted since the Christmas special (we know this for sure and it was shown on the side of a bus in that episode that it's very much a technology company that is big in London)
-Triad = three or potentially three people, three Osirans/gods, Isis, Osiris and Nephthys or Set/Suetekh, the children of Geb and Nut in Egyptian mythology. This would make Suetekh the great grandchild of the sun god Ra.
-Triad also refers to the three points of a triangle or even a PYRAMID
-The company seems to work with UNIT and provide 'technological solutions' - Solutions to what? Time anomalies?
-Susan Twist + Triad Technologies = Sue Tech (Sutekh), the trailer seems to suggest some kind of evil will be her or take over her
-Pyramids at the back (Pyramids of Mars, Egyptians, Osirans?) of the same image that suggests she will be some sort of horned evil, desert environment
-Shot from the trailer of a massive dust storm or dust cloud engulfing a street in London, likely destroying everything is akin to what Sutekh said _"Where I tread, I leave nothing but DUST and darkness."_ in Pyramids of Mars
-I dont think Susan Twist is 100% innocent. I believe the clip of her in the white business-suit is her giving a conference, in the same shot as Mel warning the Doctor with the humanoid figure in white at the back. Perhaps this is one of Suetekh's MUMMIES? Anyway, it feels like Susan is acting.
-The whole idea though of Suetekh is that he is an alien with powerful technology. He can also channel energy into his servants and 'posses' them, so Susan does not need to be Suetekh to have his powers.
-S Triad as seen in the trailer is also an anagram of TARDIS. The TARDIS has apparently been acting up this season. Strange things have been happening though since the Giggle, at least when tea was spilt onto the TARDIS or when the Toymaker spelt out that 'the One who Waits' was the only one to scare him.
-Suetekh was last seen trapped in a time corridor.
-The TARDIS is the only thing that could potentially 'save' him. With the introduction of the Memory TARDIS from the specials and a phased out shot of the Doctor screaming inside of it, it's possible he will try and use the Memory TARDIS through a servant to break free if that's what it does and indeed contains memories of old adversaries.
-Fun fact: Suetekh's time travelling Sarcophagus (through a time tunnel) is made out of or is something called a 'Lodestone'. This is what allows it to have time-breaking powers, since according to TARDIS wiki, in Turn Left (written by RTD), Rose Tyler apparently created a time machine called a 'Lodestone' using the surface technology of the Doctor's TARDIS. Donna Noble went back in time with it and it didnt age her, so maybe Susan Triad also used this kind of technology or she captured a TARDIS or the Doctor's TARDIS which created time anomalies?
-What happened to the Sarcophagus in Torchwood in season 2 in Army of Ghosts? Who obtained it afterwards?
-Suetekh is associated with destruction, with his offspring in Egyptian mythology, especially Anubis, associated with death. The second part of this story is called 'Empire of Death'.
-Obviously this will have to tie all in to Ruby Sunday and her origins, as they are explored at the start of the episode, likely what causes the Doctor to go back to the present to London 2024.
-The alien robot that was not affected by the Giggle in last year's specials, the Vlinx, might come back into it and be revealed to be Osirian technology or an Osiran himself. Either that or he will play a role similar to Mr Smith from SJA in the UNIT Spinoff.
-Flood might be involved for better or worse. I theorise she is Ruby's mother and works for Triad or is actually a hero. Maybe she is an Osiran in disguise?
-There's also what you said about the TARDIS's noise.
This is a great compilation of notes on it. Thanks for sharing.
I don't believe they were pyramids in that picture, looked to me like mountains. There's another celestial body in the right corner (could be a moon of some sort) I think it looks more like Gallifrey than mars.
What sarcophagus in Army of Ghosts? Do you mean the void ship the Daleks came out of?
I think the title sequence proves we’re in another timeline now where the rules of the show have changed. Normally the TARDIS used to leave one part of the time vortex before entering another part of the same vortex. In the new sequence, it shoots through the vortex into another.
@KoobanHooves1yeah the theme tunes always had weird issues with syncing and stuff and it’s never been consistent with how the tardis enters and leaves these days.
@KoobanHooves1 yes the change in the vortex has always been a factor, BUT the TARDIS actually breaks through the vortex in this title sequence before appearing to enter another. The break through being the key part. And RTD has said there is something about the vortex in this season title sequence also highlighting the sparks around the base of the TARDIS.
You’re reading way too much into this
@KoobanHooves1I always assumed it was one vortex and the blue/red colouring related to a kind of temporal doppler effect. The Tardis just changed from moving one direction in time to the other, thus the colour shift.
@@brewster_4 maybe 🤷♂️ but equally RTD pointed out to keep an eye on what’s happening in the vortex with relation to the sparks at the base of the TARDIS…
This actually makes perfect sense, oh and you have far too much time on your hands 😊
Thank you for another very entertaining video, i actually think you should pen a few script ideas yourself and send them to the relevant department, can i also add that the 70s unit HQ was built on the site of the original priory belonging to Marcus Scarman and destroyed by the explosion of the Osirian war missile in 1911 in the Pyramids of Mars
The only time the Tardis has landed normally was 73 yards. Interesting that it's the most unexplained episode and thats the only one with a normal Tardis landing.
Possibly because that timeline no longer exists?
Recently rewatched the dr who children in need clip and I noticed that the tardis crashed in to davros' ship as well. So it's actually been happening before wild blue yonder 🤔
Using that logic, The Children in need special is set BEFORE The Star Beast as well. So maybe the fob watch that 13 dropped inside is to blame.
Also the sparks from the tardis in the title sequence was there in the star beast episode, not after
Whatever the one who waits is from what the toymaker and maestro have said its way more powerful than them, which is bad considering the doctor struggled against both of them
X.x I'm gonna have a rewatch myself. >> Susan Twist and the tardis groaning both started in the episode wild blue yonder sooooo
Could be Patience.

She was also married to The Doctor.
Think I heard some1 say the “one who waits” could be Rogue. Who knows? 🤷♂️
@@hanlee3345 interesting, why?
@@hanlee3345 the toymaker said he saw him and ran so I dunno x.x maybe?
Your guesses seem so on the money! So excited to see how it all plays out. And congrats on all your vids - insightful and entertaining stuff! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I think Susan Triad is trapped inside the fob watch that was dropped into the Tardis at the end of Flux. This would explain how she could be getting exposed to the Tardis' time warp field and split up across multiple places at once, and causing paradoxes that are making the Tardis sick.
Looking at the Disney trailer, we get a glimpse of Sand. And in the Three Doctors, when the Brigadier and the Doctor arrived at Omega's world, the Brigadier said “There's sand everywhere”
Sand was everywhere in Classic Who 🤣, The Dominators, Colony in Space, Vengeance on Varos 🤣. That's just to name a few stories.
@@Mark-nh2hsVengeance on Varos had a hard rocky planet exterior, and the episode took place almost entirely inside. Also, none of the episodes you listed feature a character calling attention to the sand. 🤣🤣🤣😂🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done mate, this video wins the internet for 2024
0:05 Nice catch!! That looked so cool!! 🤩
I just rewatched Fenric.
The haemovores were created by a creature with 3 names.
The Ancient One
The One Who Waits
The Great Serpent
Made me think of The Grand Serpent, from Flux... Set during the 3rd Doctor's era.
Oh, that is good. The whole thing with the Grand Serpent during the Flux seemed like it went nowhere. It would be satisfying if he came back.
That’s interesting because Maestro said something like the Older One or ancient one couldn’t have been there when Ruby was born. So it could be the one who waits is the same thing or yet another “God”
Hrm. The Mara?
Omg the grand serpent i never thought about and didnt work into my theories but think about it:
- it’s a binary species and the Meep said a binary creature is a rare thing… wait till i tell the boss!!!
I was thinking Fenric but totally forgot Mara - but the Mara usually attacks the deepest part of the mind and lays dormant like it did with Tegan.
I'm sticking with the trickster theory and the graske being Lenny
Clyde helped the graske grislock go free, though.
@@connorbosley4431 another Graske maybe? would be cool to see one again, and the Trickster would know of the species to hire/enslave another ... ? idk
Well Maestro did say music of the spheres. Which may have been reference to the 2008 Doctor Who Proms mini episode called music of the spheres. With David Tennant and a Graske.
Graske - h.arbinger?
I just randomly found your channel somehow. Liking it so far. Thanks!
Following your brilliant theories, it’s occurred to me that RTD ‘may’ have picked up on the canonical fact that UNIT headquarters in the 1970s was built on the remains of the Scarman estate’s Old Priory, in Pyramids of Mars... Just getting it out there early in case I’m totally right and have earned myself a Doctor Who cookery book or similar.
Rather than TARDIS technology, maybe she’s created *memory* TARDIS technology, allowing people to into realise dreams and desires. We’ve still got the hanging reference about UNIT dealing with the supernatural. I wonder if hooking into memories or dreams (dreams of the third Doctor’s encounter with Sutekh implanted into Susan Triad) allows Sutekh to escape and come back.
Except the Third Doctor didn't have an encounter with Sutekh, that was the Fourth Doctor. Omega is a better shout as he encountered the 3rd and 5th Doctors and was the timelord that gave them time travel tech. However i do think that Sutekh is going to be in the mix too. Who said that the Boss and the One Who Waits have to be the same person. What if the Boss is Omega and the One Who Waits is Sutekh. As for Susan twist the memory TARDIS theory sounds good, but who's to say that she hasn't already made an actual TARDIS and lived here there and everywhere in time already before settling on an era of time that the tech would be most beneficial to her plans.
This was my thought too. And Tom Baker is the only one who hasn’t had a Tales of the TARDIS episode yet, I think we’ll be getting Pyramid of Mars just before the finale
@@neilhawkins9017I thought Omega too initially, but as Confused Adipose said, the ‘long buried secret from the third doctor’s era’ could be Susan’s (presumably stolen) timelord tech from the UNIT years
@@peyotebritta I think there is room for both Omega (The Boss) and Sutekh (The One Who Waits) maybe Susan Twists completes the three (Triad)
@@neilhawkins9017 True, but I think they'll save some of the Pantheon for season 2 because otherwise how do you keep raising the stakes?
They might pull the rug from under us at the end of the season and say "Oh, you thought Sutekh/Omega was the one who waits? Nope!" and save one for season 2. Or: "you thought The Boss/TOWW were the same person, nope!". But I don't think they have time to that much in two episodes.
Triad tech could just be a nod to pyramids if Sutekh is involved. I was looking for trio at first but I don't think one that makes sense is emerging.
It’s a problem because it’s a copy created by the toymaker
I thought the tardis was grown not built? (The Impossible Planet)
Portable devices with tardis technology maybe
Yes, but most likely S Triad does not know about that crucial fact....then again, all of you humans know scraps about Time Lords
Remember 11 and Idris had to make a rudimentary TARDIS in the TARDIS scrapyard in The Doctor's Wife.
@@medichampion328 which worked only because Idris/Doctor's TARDIS gave some energy into the console
This one appeared after a blow from the toymakers mallet
You’ve actually got a point there
I keep thinking back to the 3rd doctor era and the daemons. The doctor has a speech about horns being evil and then in the trailer for next week Susan twist has horns. Is azal the one who waits. Unit where involved in the daemons and the story has a scene being taped by the bbc. Makes me think.
Azal killed himself so it's not going to be him.
@@Mark-nh2hs do gods really die. Could he be re summed by something on the tape?
@@nicksimmonds Azal wasn't a God he was a alien species, it was humans who thought he was a God - be it he did have a god complex but his species had no god like powers just very advance technological
I will burst out in laughter if none of these theories are correct and it's just some new random TimeLords Lore 🤣
Just like all those "Mephisto is the big bad" theories about WandaVision.
@@JoeOConnellAllNew and the theories that Omega was going to return from way back in season 4 onwards - they were totally convinced it was the Big O. Still hasn't turned up - yet 🤣
@@Mark-nh2hs I've read that some British magazines have given summaries for the episode that the big mystery goes back to the third Doctor's era. So, Omega MAY be on the table after all.
@@JoeOConnellAllNew that's why I sad "Yet" at the end as its a possibility he could return at some point 🤣
Well...
I'm totally with you on this theory but what I'm having trouble with is reconciling it with 'tv show within a tv show' angle and Ruby's snow memory powers / her seemingly influencing reality / the fourth wall breaks etc...
I was initially pretty sure that they were in some sort of unreality but I don't see how that jives with Sutekh or Susan Triad. Unless Susan's new technology isn't time travel but the dimensional tech. Maybe somehow, the universe has been trapped inside TARDIS somehow due to a faulty experiment and that could explain the unreality of this season. Or a memory tardis? which would explain how Ruby keeps conjuring the snow like a memory come to life.
I could totally see Susan Triad trying to sell Memory Tardis Experiences for consumers to relive their favorite memories or retrieve forgotten ones. Maybe she used a prototype and it scattered her across time unbeknownst to her. A memory tardis could probably insert false memories into LIndy Pepper Bean and the Duchess to make it seem like she's always been there,
I see where you're going with that... But don't over think it. The Doctor is on a secret mission for U.N.I.T.
Ruby Sunday finds out about her past.
There is a god coming.
Treat them as 3 different plot points instead of one then try and link them together.
As for the unreality, there's matter and antimatter, one can't exist with the other.... Omega can literally will things into existence in the antimatter universe AND in the normal universe so who's to say he isn't influencing Ruby and making it snow etc.
Omega wanted to destroy everything, turn it all to dust.
@@BigEvil02 I was very much on the Omega theory bandwagon for most of this season but I’ve been convinced by the Sutekh theorists.
If they are all separate mysteries that don’t intersect, it feels like a lot. There still the matter of Mrs Flood too. A lot of theories seem to forget about her.
We do see the Doctor in the Memory Tardis in the finale trailer. And Ncuti and Millie will appear in a Tales of the Tardis episode the day before the finale. So it feels credible to me. And Tom Baker is the only Doctor to not appear in Tales of the Tardis yet, which is what has convinced me that it will be Pyramids of Mars, priming fans for Sutekh’s return.
I would be very pleased if it was Omega though because I talked my housemates’ ears off at the start of the season, claiming I’d figured it all out
@@peyotebritta I see why people are saying Sutekh for sure. Mrs Flood is in next series too so I doubt she'll be answered in the finale. I'm still on the Omega train!
Ha, Omega train, I like it.
Sutekh is an Egyptian god as well and the Egyptian gods had a lot of association with the weather. The snow might in fact be ashes or dust.
@@TheManInBlueFlames Maybe.... I'm still not fully sold on the Sutekh theory
S Triad being an anagram for TARDIS makes sense - RTD does like his anagrams. Torchwood for example. That said, as cool as Sutek would be I doubt it is that character. If I had to put my money on anything... Omega. He'd fit into the pattern here. After all, it was spreading salt outside the universe that allowed so many extra-universal characters to get in. And Omega not only knows quite a bit about TARDIS tech, he also has been pretty much outside the universe with them for awhile. Or at least he's been sort of outside the universe - I forget what happened to him last time he showed up... It's been awhile since I saw that serial.
Well he was essentially stuck in his antimatter universe but time has passed and I'm sure he'd find a way back now especially due to the Toymakers meddling.
Wtf torchwood is an anagram of doctor who what
@@db5094 You mean.... You didn't know?
@@db5094 Yes - Torchwood is an anagram. Ergo why I cited it as an example of RTD liking to use Anagrams. Not sure how that confused you.
Astrid (Kylie Minogue's character) is an anagram of TARDIS too but that meant nothing, maybe it is a red herring maybe not....Who knows
You could chase TARDIS problems back to Flux if you really wanted.
OOOh some good stuff here. I hope you're right. I'd love to see sean play his dad.
My God, you're so obsessed with Sutekh not saying that you're wrong, but gosh😂😂
Sutekh latched on the tardis in Wild Blue Yonder i think this is because the ship they are on is next to the edge of the universe aka The Void so i think like in the comic that Sutekh somehow got to The Void and because The Tardis Was at The Edge Of The Universe aka The Void it was easier for Sutekh to latch onto the Tardis
Given the play on the city of death title from Baker’s era I think Scaroth will play a role. Don’t forget he was splintered thru out time as well. Maybe he wasn’t alone and another one of the Jagaroth is scattered thru out time too
Good idea but unlikely as he was the only one and made that very clear - even the Doctor said he was the last of his species. Plus he's not a threatening menace to the world more of a greedy nuisance 🤣
Just feels like the names of the two stories are so close and when u add to that the splintering thru time it has to be !!!
The TARDIS is on a secret mission. Yes - for Sutek! Fun video and fun theories which make lots of sense. I myself have been thinking the Great Intelligence is part of this. When Richard E. Grant's face popped up in "Rogue", I thought the GI has infiltrated the Doctors' incarnations. But why would Sutek be the "Boss"? He's been sitting, stuck in the Pyramids of Mars all this time. He didn't need any salt spread at the end of the Universe to invite him in. Why would the Toymaker be concerned about him? Or is the Boss still someone/something else? (Oh, and Richard E. Grant's aged face in "Rogue" makes him look sort of like Michael Jayston... the Valeyard! ???) 😅
Richard E guant has also played the doctor in the 40th anniversary special:
Scream of the Shalka. A 2003 animated web episode that aired on the BBC website. This doctor though has never been mentioned in live action or on any list of the official doctors for the show so far.
That robot from the 60th does look like Sue Tech 😅.
I've no idea how likely but I'd love Sean Pertwee to take up the third Doctor's role, it's as decently as you could follow a passed actor in my eyes. A story like this would be the perfect chance to make it more than an unrelated cameo or regular multi story.
this gives me flashbacks to the fake leak about series 13 being about the TARDIS dying and the series arc being the doctor trying to fix her.
That would have been awesome for the tinkerer 13th doctor to deal with, dang.
Great theories! Can’t wait to see how it plays out.
I am thinking that it has something to do with splitting the TARDIS into two
Central to the Third Doctor story The Time Monster was a device known as TOMTIT - Transmission of Matter Through Interstitial Time. It was meant to function like a transmat or teleporter, using the space between moments as a tunnel between one place and another. Messing around with time, however, caused all manner of problems (including turning Benton into a baby) and the Master was able to use it to pluck people out of time and bring them to the present. It's possible Susan Triad has been trying to get it to work and accidentally fractured herself (Clara, Scaroth) while summoning... something else. In The Time Monster, it was the Chronovore Kronos. This time, who knows?
The Tardis would recognise something similar and could be trying to warn the Doctor... or, it might have accidentally let something in when it went haywire in Wild Blue Yonder.
The TARDIS Donna dropped a coffee in was a different one.
Unit tower may in fact be a chameleon circuit cloaked tardis or at least that's what i hope
I don't think you know how chameleon circuits work
@@ThetaSigma-vu1sk look if a chameleon circuit can house it can tower a tardis doesn't necessarily have to be approximately 10 feet high it can be as small as a rubicks cube or undetermined big size.
@@xyreniaofcthrayn1195 If a tardis were to land right in the middle of London, it's not going to disguise itself as a massive modern looking tower with UNIT written on it. It's not exactly hidden, is it? If it were to land in the middle of London, it would disguise itself as a bin, or a lamppost
@@ThetaSigma-vu1sk once more a tardis has been a house so there is no reason for a tardis to not become unit tower especially if it were a retroactive gift from a timelord say omega after the whole big bang incident he was watching from the safety and comfort of the universe of madness. Long story short I would love for unit tower to be a tardis just not of the same model or purpose as her lady tardis the doctor roams with and in.
6:33 I can't believe Rishi Sunak is in doctor who now he really wanting those votes
The Tardis has survived the Toymaker's Realm, a volcano, asteroid belts, E-Space, the Gravis, Cyberman blasts, etc. so I doubt some spilled coffee is going to ruin it. I suspected something else was going on.
A few things 1. I hope this isn’t a big plan to get rid of the blue box I’ve got a bad feeling it is 2. Apparently I’ve heard that the master makes a cameo In the final episode and helps the doctor 3. I hope we get answers to who rubys monster is :) x
How has everyone forgotten the second TARDIS that’s likely loitering around, that can’t be good. Unit could also have this tardis. Also, triangles in every episode….
I wonder if the Vlinx will be Triad Technology equipment with fake memory’s etc implanted. If the Vlinx runs on TRIAD then as you alluded to that could shut down the whole of UNIT. I remember RTD stating that UNIT using TRIAD was a thing to keep in mind!
Im guessing Sutek has made an army of cyborg Mummies using Tardis Tech
There is also a scene from the trailer for the series where the doctor is wearing an robe outfit which could be another scene where the doctor might be time travelling to the egyptian times which could be in the next episode or the finale!
I think Sean Pertwee would provide voice lines for the Doctor but my hunch would be that with his approval they might have gone down the Peter Cushing Star Wars route with Pertwee.
That is the Clara story of her being split throughout the doctor's time....
Could it just be the precursor to Jack's Vortex Manipulator? Like, Susan Triad could have used her knowledge of the TARDIS to make her own version of it like this theory says, things goes bad because the TARDIS is sentient and not just machinery, pieces of it remains and eventually become part of Rogue's ship. Eventually, the founders of the Time Agency found his ship, and after some reverse engineering, found a way to make it portable and that's how we would get Vortex Manipulator.
I cant remember for certain but im sure a while ago Russell said this season would reveal why the memory TARDIS exists and where it came from.
Very well constructed! Let's see how much you got right :-)
S. Triad being an anagram of TARDIS is definitely something. But that mean Susan Triad has an unfortunate anagram, as USAN are left
Finally a theory that doesn’t include that Susan (drs daughter) isn’t a supreme evil being
Susan Twist was a trolley girl named Jan in the UNIT offices. She spilled coffee on the third Doctor's console when he'd taken it out of the ship.
Maybe Susan Triad built The Vlinx using bits of old TARDIS, and it's HIM that's been causing all the problems.
And we know that he hasn't yet got to his Final Form...
I theorize that the T.A.R.D.I.S. might go on a journey, to try to find a replacement, who can become The-Doctor’s new vessel, before it dies.
U know what would be crazy to bring the nightmare child in this. I think they are gonna be more than 1 villain in the final 2 episodes
Nerdantic comment: Pertwee's Doctor was Scientific Adviser to UNIT in the 1980s... the episodes aired in the 1970s but they were set in the 1980s at least originally but things got muddled in continuity. This was lampshaded as a typically Moffat joke in the 50th Anniversary when Kate Lethbridge-Stewart asks for her father's file on "CROMER" and adds "from the 80s or the 70s, the timeline is confused"
if she is building a tardis it would make more sense using omega, he would know how to shove a super nova into it to power the thing, short of that it would just be a pile up buttons and knobs
Never miss regularly scheduled maintenance!
Omg
I think your theory could be spot on
Everything you say looks as if it could work
The noise is the Eric Roberts version of the Master inside the TARDIS. He will escape and end up regenerating into another incarnation.
The phrase "clutching at straws" springs to mind . RTD as we all know doesn't make it THIS obvious.
Sounds right but I thought we would get the Trickster with sound coming from Ruby in Devils Chord
Commercial time travel and the monk (or should I say the nun) go hand in hand if you've listened to Dalek Universe. I doubt RTD would be pulling this heavily from recent Big Finish but it's a coincidence.
Susan Triad could have an influence or possibly Sutekh on the Tardis
I like ALL this. What still intrigues me is if it's all about Susan Twist's character(s), the Triad tech, littering herself across the timeline etc - why "The Legend of Ruby Sunday"? Where does Ruby come into it all?
I would love some payoff for the coffee spill. I mean, the TARDIS has an espresso machine in the console but then ... explodes when coffee comes in contact with the console? It’s one thing if Donna had brought the coffee with her.
What kind of makes me hesitant is that, whatever Triad's product is, it's something that Donna is seemingly familiar with, in her role as a fairly normal secretary (i.e., not some top-secret research project in development which only UNIT has access to). For Triad to go from developing word processors or whatever to developing time travel seems like a pretty big jump. Not impossible, but a bit of a stretch.
I am convinced that vhs is from the third doctor's era, but maybe it isn't susan triad but mrs flood. Russle said all of Ruby's answers will not be answered this season so I still think Mrs Flood is Ruby's mum
VHS was even created it wasn't until 1977 I think when it first appeared. If it is RTD will just retcon it 🤣
@@Mark-nh2hs maybe not a vhs tape but an earlier one, philips 'vcr' format, used in the n1500 and n1700 machines, that was released in the early 70s
15 & Ruby’s timeline seems to be all over the place. One minute they’ve been travelling together for 6 months and the next Ruby is saying she hasn’t known him for that long. Clearly there’s something wrong with the Tardis so maybe that’s why.
is season 2 / series 15
gonna be like that time the 3rd doctor gets stucked on earth. of the tardis gets effed up.
Did they ever explain how the silence had a sort of Tardis in day of the moon? The controls had a neo-egyptain look if I remember correctly
What if Sean Pertwee is the voice of the third Doctor in a flashback- that would be amazing!
The Tardis is alive and that could complicate using it just for parts.
Solid theorys. I didn't catch the "S Triad" "Su-tekh"
but what has this got to do with the toymakers legions? unless the toymaker is forcing susan to do all this to bring the one who waits to the doctor ?
Perhaps she couldn’t build an actual sentient Type 40. But then again, were the original Type 1s senient and were they dimensionally transcendental? Or she might be taking a shortcut with something like Zigma Beam technology (Talons of Weng Chiang) that opens a door to the “realm of the gods/eternals/gardians/etc) due to its unstable nature. Either way, while I’d love to see Sutekh return (with Gabriel Woolf as the voice actor), the 3rd Doctor reference has me thinking Daemons, Kronos or Omega.
one thing, the 3rd Doctor did not have how to fly the TARDIS erased from his memory, the Time Lords Disabled the TARDIS on earth stranding the Doctor on earth as punishment, that's why he is constantly trying to repair it during the series.
So The Doctor says to Susan, "Trust me, you're not a Doctor".
Here's my unbelievable left-field speculation: Ruby is an agent sent by the Time Lords of the Inferno universe to either neutralize or repatriate the Inferno Doctor. She had to have her identity hidden from even herself due to the Time War(s). Each episode of the current series is tuning Ruby Sunday on who her target is and finally who she is. Her target is someone who has stunted development who is a fascist and who has a horrible plan that could light at least the Earth in flames. In other words, the Inferno Doctor. She has a role similar to that a bounty hunter, target, the Inferno Doctor. And she's been hanging around this universe's Doctor to tune her to look for the Inferno Doctor. The Inferno Doctor's only emotional weakness is for the last person with whom he had any connection, his version of Susan Foreman. He's trying to reactivate his knowledge of how Tardis technology works, perhaps experimenting on his Tardis, who may have been fractured in time or otherwise become somewhat sentient.
Why is the episode titled Legend of Ruby Sunday though??
I dont think its Sutek maybe Omega. I also dont think Susan twist is the Tardis. Between her and ms flood one needs to be Susan Foreman especially after the mention in Devils Cord. She could be the one who waits more so then Sutek if it's not Omega (3rd dr connection teased?). Remember the 1st doctors response one day ill cone back.(not counting 5 doctors). Maybe Ruby is her Daughter.
I don’t think Susan Triad is anything to do with it. At this point, everybody and their mum knows how much Doctor Who and RTD especially loves an anagram. So why would they do the MOST obvious anagram this late in the game, unless they wanted it to be misdirection. I think Susan Triad is just misdirection in the episode.
I think the evil figure seen in the trailer is the Borg's queen using Susan Twist. The noise that the Tardis makes reminds me of the Borg's one. The Borgs may be part of the Toymaker's legion. Let think about it: this noise, Star Trek references in Space Babies, Susan Twist and the crew wearing a similar costume in this episode, the shocking answer to Ruby from the Doctor: "we should visit them sometime", this line confirms that Star Trek exists in this universe, if this is the case why all the vilains from Star Trek would not exist too?!
The Tardis is said to have an indigestion, what if he is not digesting the fob watch thrown into the Tardis by the 13th and caused some issues when the Tardis has been duplicated? What happened to this watch, not to mention that it could be how the timeless child arc connects as RTD claimed to be spine of the show. I do not believe that it will connect via Ruby's character but with either a character or the fob watch causing the Tardis reaction and triggering some events being spine of the show's big finale...
Interesting theories 👍
Good Video 💗
Dr Who comments.
Questions, comments and speculation about the season so far before we get to the finale:
1. Is any of this season actually real?
2. Are we in an alternate reality and have we been there ever since Jodie Whittaker said, "Tag, you're it."? As if we were already playing a game?
3. In Star Beast, Rose Noble was making toys and The Meep referred to the Boss, so something was already going on.
4. In Wild Blue Yonder, why wasn't Isaac Newton white?
5. In Wild Blue Yonder, why couldn't the Dr sense something had happened to the time stream or reality when Gravity became Mavity?
6. In Wild Blue Yonder, where did the TARDIS go and what did it do (or not do) when it got there?
7. In Wild Blue Yonder, why was the TARDIS blaring out the song? A warning, perhaps?
8. In Wild Blue Yonder, invoking superstition and using salt to do it at the edge of the universe is now a thing. It's nonsensical, but it happened and that is clearly the point.
9. How did the 14th Dr end up with the 10th Dr's face? Was the regeneration hijacked in some way?
10. In The Giggle, the 15th Dr says bi-generation is a myth and yet it happened. Myths are now becoming real.
11. In The Giggle, how did the TARDIS really duplicate (bi-generate?) and why?
12. In The Giggle, what was Mel's non-answer about what a zingo was and the non-explanation of The Vlinx all about? Is this world even real?
13. In Space Babies (I think) why did the gravity in the TARDIS shut off for a few seconds when it launched into the vortex?
14. Why aren't we seeing the Dr and Ruby actually arrive at and then subsequently leave in the TARDIS? It's as if they are just appearing/disappearing from places. Is all the action this season going on in the Dr's head and the TARDIS is tagged on as a playing piece that should be in the story, so the Dr's memory includes it?
15. In The Church on Ruby Road, the entity that leaves baby Ruby at the church door is not a woman.
16. Ruby clearly isn't human, or is not entirely human, so what is she? Does the Dr know? Why is he scanning her otherwise?
17. Could we be about to find out who the Dr's people really are? And that Ruby is one also? And that she is related to him?
18. In Boom, how did the ambulance recognise Ruby?
19. In The Church on Ruby Road, how did the Dr pull the goblin ship out of the sky? No, really?
20. Who is the One Who Waits?
21. Who is Mrs Flood?
22. Who is the Susan Twist character(s)?
23. In 73 Yards, the people in the pub were like a Greek chorus: they were play acting.
24. In Rogue, the Chuldur were play acting (cosplaying).
25. Rogue named himself after a character in Dungeons & Dragons: more play acting/role playing. And who is his new boss?
26. Why do we keep getting weird jumps in time?
27. In 73 Yards, where did the Dr actually disappear to? And how? Is magic now actually real?
28. In 73 Yards, if the Dr can sense time stream changes, why couldn't he sense something major had happened to the time stream?
29. In 73 Yards, how come the weird woman could suddenly appear at the end of dying Ruby's bed - a lot closer than 73 yards?
30. Is even the fact that this season is being referred to as Season 1, suggest we're in an alternate reality?
31. In 73 Yards, how did Ruby find out about UNIT and why was Kate acting so strangely even before the weird woman said what she said?
32. In 73 Yards, what was the weird woman saying to everyone to make them run away and what did the hand signals mean?
33. In Boom, since when does killing the Dr result in the destruction of half a planet?
34. The scenario in Boom is ridiculous - how on earth could these soldiers not realise they weren't fighting anyone? It's like war games gone wrong. Games again.
35. Why does Ruby keep almost dying/getting killed? And why does the Dr keep crying?
36. Are we in an alternate reality - one that's becoming more and more unstable - and that's why everything and everyone in this season is off-kilter?
This really good. I hope it happens like this
I’m wondering if the link to Jon Pertwee could be the mad computer BOSS from The Green Death
That’s a good shout!
The sparks look similar to the portal the timeless child was near
The season ending big baddy with be a Star Trek villain 😂
5:25 is that how the doctor disappeared in 73 yards lol however I like the idea of her make shift time travel causing her to be scattered and we what we have seen of her is actual in future linear and we will see it go wrong in the finale and her scattered but then that would be similar to Clara turning up before she was scattered
Doctor tardis is really dying and one who waits is all most here
It doesn't explain why she's been in every episode under different names & identities: she is not the same character every time like Jenna Coleman at the start before she became Clara
The Reddit Theory was that the doctor was stuck in a TV show and didn't know. And she was an extra and she just kept appearing as different characters. Now because of the new trailer she might just be an older lady goes to sleep and in her dreams is appearing in the same places as the doctor goes to where she is different people dreams can be weird.
Imagine if unit tower is a tardis :) x
