  • Yay Math In Studio is back with a short and sweet foray into multiplying and dividing rational expressions. Do we need a common denominator here? Nope! That's only for adding and subtracting these rational friends. In this case, we're simply factoring so that we can cancel. We also cover multiplying by the reciprocal, with simple number examples that make sense. YAY MATH!

    Hey rob, i like this new style in the studio, I just started watching your videos about a month ago, but i think I learn better when you teach a class because they have questions that we have.

      Totally understandable. These are for when I don't have the chance to teach certain classes.

      Ohh, I thought you quit your job to become a tutor on Yaymath.org or something like that.

      I love your style of teaching, I don't know how it's different from other teachers but it is somehow, and it makes a lot more sense.

    Shouldn't it be x+4x*2 on the top row in the last problem? And that would 9x. Please let me know if this is not right.

      @kvales26 5 лет назад

      No, you have to distribute the 6 to both x and 4x/3, so you get 6x + 8x

    At the end I think you forgot to multiply 6 with 5x which would make it 30x-6x

      @yaymath  7 лет назад +1

      Thanks so much for your comment, I believe it's 6 times 5x/6, which simplifies to 5x. Do you see that?
