- Siobhán McSweeney always wanted to be an actor but her parents wanted her to be a teacher. Siobhán’s big break came in 2018 when she was chosen to play Sister Michael in Derry Girls. The show was a huge hit and Siobhán won a BAFTA for her performance in 2023.
Now a big star of the small screen, you can catch her presenting The Great Pottery Throwdown on Channel 4 and starring in the Disney+ comedy series Extraordinary.
As it’s Easter, Nick pops a bottle of Waitrose Champagne Blanc de Noirs and Angela prepares a feast: Slow-roast lamb shoulder with beer and carrots, potatoes dauphinoise and purple sprouting broccoli with anchovies, garlic and lemon, all delicious recipes from Julius Roberts.

I actually have no clue who any of these guests are because I‘m from Austria, but they are just such lovely and charismatic hosts and all the guests are also so funny and amazing that I really enjoy watching strangers eating and having a chat with literally zero context 😂♥️
omg does that mean you havn't seen "Derry Girls"? I cannot believe I get to recommend this show to someone, everyone I know has seen it - it's irish, it's hilarious and it is sooo cute and quirky! Give it a try!
And while your at it - you should also try Extraordinary! Just as quirky but a bit more heartfelt!

So many things to love about this podcast and this episode in particular. It's so real - Angela cleaning her shirt with a napkin, Siobhan with the napkin as a bib and as always amazing and funny and interesting conversation.

I saw Nick interview Harry Stiles and knew him as Grimmy? It was quite charming the two of them together. I like his voice and manner, but his wit is the best. Wit and humor. Very intertaining. I'll look for more shows like this. The chef was great too and I loved it was about food and cooking. Done a bit differently. Well done.
