Yunnan, China, is the province with the largest number of ethnic minorities. These ethnic minorities generally live in high mountains or mountains. But such ethnic villages are only for tourists to visit. To truly understand the living conditions of these ethnic minorities, you need to go to the places where these ethnic minorities live and see how the Chinese government treats these ethnic minorities and how the Chinese government treats them. help these ethnic minorities get out of poverty.

Some of these ethnic minorities in Yunaan are ethnically related to Burmese and share similarities with both Burmese and north east Indian tribes like Naga and Mizo people. Not all of them but quite a few of them with the south east asian tropical flavor (living in bamboo huts and bamboo dance). Even the Han Chinese find them exotic and foreign.

The McMahon Line was first drafted in 1913, and the treaty to ratify them (Simla Accords) was never signed by the Republic Of China(ROC) who had just overthrown the Qing dynasty. There was no such thing as the McMahon Line in 1890, and China isn't disputing where the Line was drawn, she's disputing the validity of the Line in its entirety. The primary Indian claim is that the ROC did sign the Simla Accords because a British official called Olaf Caroe fabricated a narrative in 1938 where the ROC signed the Simla Accords (they didn't) and ceded parts of Tibet to the Raj.
In 1963 a British diplomat compared a pre-1938 treaties compendium with the post-Caroe compendium and found that Caroe had changed the note on the ROC's not signing the Simla Accords into one where the ROC signed it and considers the Indo-Tibetan border finalised. Nehru picked up a copy of Caroe's fabricated compendium so he got the impression that his country was legally entitled to more than she actually was. Compounding this was the US' decision to add fuel to the flames by declaring the McMahon Line as the legitimate boundary in an attempt to contain the spread of communism, despite reservations from the US State Department and protests from the fiercely non-communist Chiang Kai-Shek, leader of the ROC.
However, we all know Nehru irreversibly altered his country's relations with China in 1962, so by 1963, when the fabrication was discovered, it was already too late to stem the tide of Indian nationalism based on the false compendium entry. And that leaves us with the situation today, in the aftermath of a British attempt to de jure carve out a piece of Chinese territory which failed but had some success de facto, then a British fabrication of her failed attempt to carve out Chinese territory, then an Indian acceptance of the British fabrication alongside American endorsement, and a Chinese refusal to accept the fabrication as anything remotely legal.
Some Indians recognise that they don't actually have a legal claim to South Tibet, so they've begun using a different claim in that the people living in South Tibet want to be part of India more than China; in essence, a claim based on the principle of self-determination. This is India's secondary claim. However, as history has shown time and time again (Catalonia, Confederate States, Taiwan, Corsica, Chechnya, Tibet, Naxalites), without the permission of the larger body, a smaller section of the population will not be allowed to separate from its original country regardless of what they want.
A much more detailed account of the McMahon Line and its history is available here, written by Peter Lee who, contrary to impressions given by his surname, is not at all Chinese.

It's good to appreciate the beauty of China and the development that has taken place there. It's equally important to understand that Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will be an integral part of India. China has issues with all of its neighbouring countries. It acts as a bully in our region. It is appreciable that India is eventually standing up to China.

      1. China and Indonesia - Natuna Islands
      2. China and Phillipines - China claims area of the EEZ of the Phillipines
      3. China and India - obvious conflicts ( Andhra Pradesh, CPEC through India's territory, Aksai Chin, Tibet)
      4. China and Bhutan - Tibet
      5. China and Japan ( Senkaku Island s and many other islands)
      6. China and Taiwan( unofficially annexed by China)
      7. China and Vietnam ( Paracel Islands)
      8. China and Russia ( china recently changed the name of vladivostok)
You want more... Myanmar, Nepal, Mongolia.. China also claims territories of these countries...

@@agamgoel9763 kid I'm not in China. Did you realize that all you mentioned are islands? I'm taking about real land dispute. I know what your Hinduism nationalism media tells you because
I also read your Indian times and WION. Indian media simply plays with your national pride. All your neighbors see it as threat. After Sikkim is captured by India, do you think the other neighbors won't fear the same thing would happen to them? China solved all its land dispute through negotiations. China actually already has a deal with Bhutan if India is not against it. And China is working on a general agreement about maritime dispute with all ASEAN countries. Just ask yourself will India give up part of your disputed area to negotiate with your neighbors? Cause China did that to solve all other land dispute

      @stevenk1468 7 месяцев назад

@@agamgoel9763 somehow my commitment is deleted. I'm talking about real land dispute. And Taiwan and Russia on your list are wrong. You can educate yourself. From all that you mentioned on your list the only real land dispute is with India. Bhutan already has an agreement with China to solve the dispute, if India is not against it. China had lots real lands dispute after WW2 and China solved all other dispute with negotiations. That means China normally give up a piece of land and the other counterpart also gives up a piece. Your Hinduism nationalism media really like to play with people's national pride. Yes all your neighbors shall fallow the lead of India, if any of your neighbors do anything not in Indians favor, it must be China's fault or Pakistans fault or US fault. You don't realize the fear of your neighbors that they might be captured by India as well just like Sikkim.

Some ethnic minorities may have an additional course on their own language (such as Mongolian, Uyghur, Korean), which is called ethnic language and not the official language! So in China, Mandarin is the only official language, and any ethnic group can use Mandarin for communication and learn Chinese characters to access ancient and modern books! Minority languages and scripts are mainly used for communication within ethnic groups, the inheritance of their own writing, and the retrieval of their own books!
