This video really helped me almost six years after it was posted. I had put this punch board away because I couldn’t get it to work right. Came across your video today and it worked perfectly. Thank you.
MS E I had forgotten about my punch board and took it out this morning to get reaquainted, and I was having the same problem as you. Thank you so much for solving this problem. You are the gift that keeps on giving. Hope you have a blessed day.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I live in Chile and got mine from USA. It was really sad not seeing it work properly but now, with your tip, I have learnt to do it well. Say thanks to your husband too, please. So nice of him looking at the problem and help you (and us) understand it. Hope WRMK pays attention to this issue. Thanks again!!! Love fom Chile.
Thanks for sharing the information as to how the cutter is made. I never thought to look at it that closely. I figured out a very quick and easy way to take some of the "play" out of the cutter. Just take a teeny tiny rubber band and put it in the outer groove of the cutter. After you do that you just have to figure out how you need to maneuver/place/hold the blade to cut. You can get the tiny rubber bands from Amazon , they measure about .59 of an inch and you get about 1,000 in a bag.
Just bought one yesterday and haven't tried it yet, but this perfect explanation will help if I run into same issue - thanks!! I have noticed same thing on the mini alphabet punch board - will try this trick on it too...
THANK YOU! I thought that I was losing my mind. I was making multiple frames for a project and just thought that I must be doing something wrong. Figured out that when I go from right to left the cuts were ‘better’ but not always. This makes perfect sense. Thank you for clearing up that mystery and helping me get a clean cut.
Great tutorial on using the WRMK frame punch board...And honestly even watching this video I can here a resistance of some kind when you do the cutting without first pushing the blade forward.....So I thank you so much for sharing this with us.....Pat
02-08-2020: Hi there. I just bought one today @ Tuesday Morning and I must say, I didn't know the first thing about how to tackle it, but after watching your instructional video, I can't wait to get started. This was most informative. I hope that WRMK takes your suggestion into consideration. Thank you for sharing.
thank you for sharing this. Yes, mine is doing the same as yours, so pushing forward has helped tremendously. It's my first time using it and I thought I was doing something incorrectly. thanks a million
Thank you for this video. I enjoy hearing your husband's expert opinion on this issue. WRMK should hire him to correct this problem!!!! Give him a big TU kiss for all of us!
Thank you for this video. I knew about this defect before I bought mine board, with intention I would just use knife, but it's good to know this trimmer actually can work properly :)
Hey Ms. Edith👋🏼, I just received my frame punch as a gift. I was looking for videos to see what others have done with theirs. Thank you so much for your video explaining fix it’s if needed. You are greatly appreciated ❣️ 💕
Thank you so much this is very very helpful and useful. I’ve just brought one of these boards and it’s always so very helpful to see how others use it xxx Mags
Thank you so much for sharing this, I too had done what the other girl suggested and it didn’t work. This is really helpful and mine now works perfectly 💕
Oh my gosh, thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this video! I am so glad to know it's not just me getting these results because of user error. I have been getting the same "hang nails" on my frames, too, and had gotten so frustrated that I haven't touched it since I bought it, and if I hadn't thrown out the box and receipt, I would have returned it the next day. Anyway, I am definitely going to try your method and see if it works for me as well as it does for you...fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Thank you! I tried the other technique, but, like you, it didn't work for my board. Your method did the trick! I'm so happy I don't have to return my board because I really like it otherwise!
Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!!!! You are awesome at explaining things! I tried JenofEve’s technique as well and it did not work for me, however your trick does work! 😃. I was going crazy! Your husband should make and sell those little add-on pieces. Even at $1 each, with your # of subscribers that would be over $30,000
I would try gluing extra tape/paper to the front edge of the long bar in order to bring my paper closer to the cutting blade by a hair as necessary. You would still have to find a consistent way of holding your cutter as you push it along to match the new paper position.
What you said about that band has to be thicker sounds right yay for your hubby lol. How big can you cut a frame I saw it on HSN and she couldn't cut a bigger one for some reason. Don't you think just using a die would be easier ?
You can punch as big as you want but you can only trim up to about 5". Longer than that will not go in the cutting part of the tool. But if you punched a large one you could always trim it on the trimmer. And yes a die would be easier and my Cricut even easier but I have had so many people that have this tool and wanted more information on uses. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Wow, this makes sense. Now I'm able to keep the frame instead of discarding it and stop trimming the center (which is what I bought the punch board for).

Hi E . Your explanation makes very good sense. Thank you for your videos. I love watching them. I am from South Africa.
So thankful that you figured out this fix and sharing the tip with all of us. You do a great job of explaining things too! ❤️ 📝 ✂️

Thank you soo much...I too was having these issues and had come to the same conclusion...too much wiggle room. I will try your method.
Just found this old video. Glad to see it. Just bought one of these and was very disappointed. I hope it works like this for me.

You are welcome. I am glad it helped.
Thanks a Ton! That extra amount was driving me nuts, every time I tried to trim off that extra amount it would not be perfect. Now it will be. YAH!!
Thank you for this tip!!! I’m going to try this!
Thanks so much.... I have ne and it was doing that.. in the instructions it tells you just to trim it....
thank you Connie
Great tip! Thank you! I just got my frame punch board today and am wondering if the blade needs to be replaced occasionally...?
Sharoyn Livingston it should t. Just hold it to the side like I show and it should cut fine.
Thank you Edith!! You're awesome!!
Elsa thank you sweet lady.

I have really bad eyes after having a tumor
your Zoom was fantastic for me because I still think about getting that board 🏆
Excellent! Thanks for sharing this!

Great video and solution! Did WRMK ever get back to you?
I did post to your FB, hope about using another WRMK blade if you. They are same size to the board. I should thought about that yesterday.
Thank you Kim
make a 12x12 ins frame scrappy nerd uk did but my paper gets in the way of bar hinge on the left and i cannot figure what she is doing thanks valerie
Wow, this makes sense. Now I'm able to keep the frame instead of discarding it and stop trimming the center (which is what I bought the punch board for).
Maybe you could put a small rubber band on it to help. Just a suggestion I don’t know if it would work for you but it wouldn’t hurt to try.
Christine Dauzat great idea. Thanks for watching and for the suggestion.
Glad you found a solution:)
me too, thank you
Help me a lot gracias !!!
Thank you so much 💕
you are welcome thank you for watching
I get the same thing on mine that you get on your frame cuts!!!
I think it works just like it should. You are supposed to push the cutter anyway. Why add a piece just push it the right way
Great tips!,, thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you.
THANK YOU 👌🏻✂️✂️✂️
on right not the left sorry
I know I have no clue what she is doing either
It sounds like it's a waste of money
Thank you so much!
