The main thing I look for in blazers and suits is Loro Piana wool, Vintage Brooks or 1818 Madison, English/Scottish/Irish Wool (e.g. Harris Tweed), anything 100% cashmere, Zegna, Canali, Brioni, Oxxford, Kiton, real Saville Row. There are others of course but this is a really good short list.
It doesn't seem super important on eBay but I think its good to make a distinction between a blazer and an orphaned suit jacket. A blazer will have more casual details, often more casual fabric, patch pockets, contrasting buttons etc. I think a lot of people can't tell the difference so an orphaned suit jacket is still sellable on its own.
Yeah! I haven't noticed many people making the distinction. Orphaned suit jackets are far more common to find because unfortunately the thrift stores often split the suits up. If you find a good jacket its often worth spending a bit of time looking for the matching pants or vice versa.
As a hunter some of the hunting clothes are really specialized. When you are doing a vacation hunt with nothing but a back pack and you are going to be living in the woods for a month you clothes become very important and they are a system to keep you dry and warm without getting ripped apart my thorns and rocks. That is why some clothes can go for prices in the hundreds in hunting clothes.
Your Christian Dior Monsieur is from a Department Store Line circa 70s 80s. You will find dress shirts, pants, and blazers. I recently found a nice tweed.
Selvedge is a self-finished weave to the fabric that keeps it from unraveling. So instead of a stitch at the edge of a fabric, like on most jeans, the end strings of the denim are woven neatly together.
I cannot wait to reach these accomplishments & share my journey! Thanks for making this community great and for giving all the amazing information us resellers need to elevate our journey! 🎉
I have never realized how many brands are out there, seriously! Until I started sourcing to resell. Many what you show, I even never heard of. So much to learn. Question though, do you guys check every item for the sell thru rate?
We check it some times but have been selling long enough now that we just know the sell through rates of most items because we sell a lot of the same stuff.
Hi guys, i've been enjoying your informative video's. I'm blown away how much you earn on weekends & in one week ! Very inspiring as i'm gearing up to start selling & opening up my store. I can't wait to see your new video on how to create a photo booth since i've been wondering how. 😊
I have a hard time selling Patagonia, they are mass produced and i find so many identical listings on Ebay…all priced competitively. To me its a bottom dollar brand! I don’t even get excited when i find it in thrift stores! This is one of those saturated brands….your lucky if you find a unique item
Dang! The company came out only in 2016 and it takes a few years for people to purchase them and then wear them long enough to want to donate them. So, they are just now getting into thrift stores from peoples closets!
Quick question, what report on eBay are you using for your gross sales number? It seems that several of the reports do not match and I am not sure which is the most accurate..do you use the transaction report? Thanks!
I use the sales report. The i believe is because one of them is numbers based on when the item sells while the other is based on when the buyer pays. Also I believe one deducts refunds from the total while the other does not. I just use the sales report as it’s the quickest one for me to use for the videos.
Yes it does cost a little extra if you use the incorrect box size! 48x4x4 is the size that does not get put into the next cost category where as 48x5x5 is significantly more to ship! UPS ground has always cost me less than $10 to mail them that way!
@@kandmresell I always sold under the golf apparel category, and was in the top 25, but last year I switched to polo as well for broader coverage . When I find something very specialized i use the golf cat. I am impressed by the prices you get on your sales. Enjoying your videos.
Sweet! Yeah I think we’re top 20 right now in the polo category! I enjoy selling them cause they are easy listings and also I play golf so always shopping for my self haha
It’s a type of fabric texture. Not really sure how to explain what it feels like but once you feel it and know that it’s called seersucker, it’s super easy to recognize after that.
I think it's a southern thing for sure! Here in NC we grow up wearing it and then have it in our adult wardrobes too. Popular with politicians in the summer and church on any given Sunday! But there's rules for wearing it. Never before Easter and not after Labor Day is what I've always known.

Still never found rhoback in 3 years of thrifting! In Ohio the golf apparel gets sparse in the winter so hopefully this spring 🤑
I’m sure you’ll snag at least one this spring!

True! Only certain models like “the better sweater” do good now adays due to over saturation!
