just looking at someone play this game makes me frustrated with the mechanics. Almost every jump is impossible unless you do a frontflip and land backwards with your rear wheel first. I remember playing this a lot and it feels so random how this game is played
Do you mean jumps like the one I do at 1:18 or the ones at 4:05/4:10? In the first case it is mostly game mechanic abuse. In the second case it is a very useful and intended mechanic, one that I do not find frustrating. Since the accelerator is located on the back wheel, landing back wheel first is often the most beneficial way to land on an obstacle. This also transfers most of the weight onto the back wheel. Combined with the proper jump technique this weight can be used as momentum to gain insane jump distance and skip over whole obstacles on some tracks. The front flip makes it easier to line the back wheel correctly for it to hit the surface first and provides some momentum for the bike, making it less likely to fall backwards if landing on a descending ramp. Furthermore, since on most jumps it is best to do a spring jump by leaning forward at the end of the ramp to gain the most speed and/or air, the bike is naturally going to start flipping forward. It is just easier to go with the bike's momentum than against it. And sometimes I just do front flips for fun while in the air.
@@Jamppah I know how the jumps are made and why, it's just so random. And even if you are not speedrunning you almost must do those frontflips or you cannot complete the levels.

Someone is still playing this game! I’m so glad someone remembers this game!

pelaatko näppäimistöllä vai millä :D
Näppäimistöllä. Peli ei tue analogista kaasua/jarrua/ohjausta, joten erillisestä ohjaimesta ei ole mitään hyötyä.
