Thank you Dr Crowson for your videos. I have really learnt a lot. My question is that you said "dogmatism" and "external political efficacy" were not significant which is true at the 95% confidence level. However, at the 10% confidence level, they are significant. So, I want to know why you did not report them as significant at that confidence level. Thank you.
Hi Dr. Crowson, You had taken the time to provide me a helpful explanation about how SPSS chooses the numerical values to associate with the DV (when interpreting binary analysis beta and odds ratios). I asked the question to paid tutors, google, and more. I could not find the precise answer until hearing from you. Please add this to your long list of thank you's! -Jamal
DEAR VIEWERS: I wanted to share that I have created a new Powerpoint presentation (March 2020), called "Binary logistic regression: A deeper dive into understanding and interpreting your SPSS results", can can freely download here: drive.google.com/open?id=1JP4oSflFxf0ZhIWC6Brthv_V5HMOQhE1 . As always, I hope you find it useful & share it with others! Cheers everyone!
Thank you for these very helpful videos :-). Can/should the Wald test be used to test for significance when performing binary logistic regression with data which I am treating as a population? I have been advised that inferential statistical tests are not appropriate with populations, so I'm confused whether to pay attention to the Wald test - particularly as it does not appear to have a straightforward relationship with the size of the coefficients/log odds. Thank you in advance for any answers!
