I’m so grateful that Filter is still active and putting out solid music. This song is the most reminiscent of their 90s material and makes me more excited for their upcoming album. I’m really hoping for some hard hitting TOR or Amalgamut style music \m/
Cool song, but RP will disappoint by making everything as politically partisan as possible and alienating half his eternally anemic fan base. He sacrifices what Filter could be for his far-left ideological temper tantrums. Nothing like watching a brilliant artist just squander what they have. I’ll always be cautiously hopeful.
@@austinhunt4260he made some recent comments admitting he went too far with that in the last couple records. We’ll see what happens I guess. @@austinhunt4260rue, I love Amalgamut but I hate how Patrick spews his bullshit politics... As you said, will hope that's excluded or held to a minimum..
I'm not sure this song needs explanation. Absolute Filter energy and Richard Patrick proving that leaving NIN was absolutely needed. He's not a second string anything. RP is GOLD and has proven it album after album!!!!!
Is it me, or did Richard Patrick just take us all back to 1999 in a DeLorean capable of time travel? Because the sound of this new track just took me back to when I started my junior year of high school. GREAT SCOTT, indeed!
So awesome! 🔥I am so hyped to see all of you enjoying the art we've created here! 🔥 Richard has done it again, an absolute monster of a hit!!! I am so happy to be a part of it and to have been able to bring my art alongside his genius! Rock on guys! 🎸🖤🪨🔥
I wouldn't say that. They don't deserve to be forever underrated they could blow up as they deserve what goes around comes around they will reap the rewards they have earned whether it be sooner or later!
What are you all talking about? Filter has always been a top tier band. Their last record "Crazy Eyes" is the only record that didn't make any headway but that's the only time that I recall. This new album "The Algorithm" sounds really Dope!
Yep, you are absolutely right. Amongst other things, Richard’s incredible tenor voice is right up there with Scott Weiland, and Maynard James Keenan. To me they are all equals. Loving the single so much! -JWH
Heard this, and the old school Filter sound had me instantly hooked. Sounds modern but with a classic vibe at the same time. The fact that R.P can still sing this powerfully is amazing, and inspiring! Come to Melbourne Australia soon!
I love this band! Richard's voice, Johnny's riffs, and the industrial sounds of this music is so exciting. Throw in the awesome and relevant themes of today's world and Wow!! Awesome music!! Thanks for continuing to produce powerful art and I look forward to seeing you in the Rock & Roll HOF!
I am so grateful for Filter's long awaited return to the road after several years since "Crazy Eyes" was released. Richard is my #1 favorite musician on the planet (and knows it), and on September 20th (about a month after the new album is released), I will get to hang out with him and Jonny and the boys for a few minutes before their show (with Zombie + Cooper + Ministry) at the meet n greet in Auburn, WA (White River Ampitheatre). My 60th birthday is coming on November 5th (EXACTLY five years to the day before his brother Robert who will be turning 65), and the album / concert are early gifts (along with concert schwag). I was playing their older songs with my wife and i wondered if they still produce music looked them up and saw they just uploaded this banger! Love it.
Hello guys, you have helped me through very difficult times as a young woman. You have accompanied me for many years, and I have also fortunately found out that you will be playing in Cologne next year. What a gift! I will be there and look forward to a wonderful evening. Thank you for everything, and keep up the great work. Tasha
I'm actually seeing Filter live tonight in Perth, Western Australia. Yesterday I belatedly checked out their setlist from previous shows to get a taste of what to expect; and this banger was on the list. Streamed it on here, first time I'd heard it, and had it on repeat ever since. What a find - can't wait to hear it live in a few hours 🤘🏼
I still remember listening to "Hey Man Nice Shot" I have 2 family members who did that. That song helped me so much. Then "Where Do We Go From Here" was a huge one as well for me perfect timing after a DV relationship 💯 Now this. This helps me cope with my Stage 3 liver failure. Filter has always been band that I resonate with. Truly thankful 🙏🥰
Just to say I hate you lol in a good way... i've been dreaming to see Filter live since forever... and that probably will happen next year here in France.. can't wait, along with the Sevendust is the two concerts I want to see the most. BTW, it's a joke I don't hate you =)
YES, YES, YES... please keep developing and perfecting THIS style. Epic hard rock. RP is one of the best singers I've ever heard. I love singing along to "DRUG BOY", that song is seriously underrated.
Another great track. Always look fwd to releases and curious, getting Linkin Park vibes though still true to the Filter sound. Always looking fwd to any new music so August is gonna be on fire. Cheers
I haven't smiled and enjoyed a track this much in so long. Title of Record was such a huge part of my life in 1999. This song made me so nostalgic and appreciative of this great band that 24 years later they are still writing amazing tracks like this. This may be Filters best song in their.catalog and its been almost 30 years since hey man nice shot came out. This really made my day I'm so glad spotify suggested it.
Richard's testimony about sobriety is inspiring and brave. Filter was with me as I battled 13 years ago. Coming up on 13 totally, happily and easily sober. So so glad Filter is still kicking it hard.
Now this is the real filter..there hints of title of record, short bus and new sounds past those records..this is Richard Patrick in top shape Bad azzz.
Animation, awesome! Haven't ever been a Filter fan for the video content rather the audio but this was Fantastic! I'm pretty far from California for a North American but I still recall solemnly "take a look at LA, from the sky, what you see should make you cry" from the track "Cancer". All I can tell is things must have gone from bad to worse there and the latest reminders are this video and some movie apparently called "the Sound of Freedom" that sure isn't playing out here in backwater Nova Scotia. It's only a matter of time though before any trend sweeps North East across the continent, thanks for the warnings over the years and adrenaline pumping music to gear anyone aware up for struggle. 🙏
