Some people might not know this but Thomas actually went to the hospital to get more than 40 stitches then came back into the game and played the final 6 minutes of the game. It was a hard foul and he was certainly delivering a message, but (A) he wasn't head-hunting (literally or figuratively) and (B) The Pistons delivered so many shamefully dirty plays every game that I have zero sympathy for any of them. Thomas' melon always seemed ahead of his body when he was driving to the hole anyway.
