- "Why do you upload this if we are in 2018?" Because I want people to help this groups by supporting them or at least get to know them. I truly want to help them...
I can't use a different miniature for this video so... now you know one group that can disband just by looking at the thumbnail.

Everyone: I 'm starting to think this video brought bad luck on some groups like VIXX. They were planning to come back without Hongbin but Ravi's scandal blew up and the comeback was posponed :c
Technically beast didn't disband they just changed their name to highlight and they moved agencies so don't worry guys they are still active under the name HIGHLIGHT

It is a disbandment since the group "beast" isn't active anymore. What HIGHLIGHT did was a REDEBUT since they promote under a new name having the same members (except for Hs)
Beast create their own independent company as a group,that's what I read .
I don't think VIXX will disband soon. They are well- known and have always managed to grab a spot in top 15 performing boy group. However, if they do not release a full album soon, I'm afraid the disbandment might happen but not as early as next year.

Vixx shangri la was a big hit. Their performance went viral and they performed at the olympic dinner or whatever its called. Two members were also invited along to the actual dinner, which features some 30 International representatives. They're doing a-ok. Newest album was nominated for a daesang too this year.
Scentist got quite popular too so I don’t think we have to worry

I want to point some things out:
1. Sister already disbanded in 2017
2. There is no Beast anymore, they changed their name to Highlight
3. Kara is basically disbanded already since all but one member has already left DSP media
4. Wonder girls already disbanded in 2016
5. Nu’est has recently gotten really popular and Minhyun is returning to nuest next year. They are not going to disband
6. VIXX’s Shangri la was very popular and them as a group is very popular as well. They are definitely not going to disband.
I really hope bap and vixx don’t disband bc I love them too much. I also really don’t want 24k, acian, cross gene, and ladies code to disband either bc I like them too. Actually I don’t want any group to disband but I know that is inevitable :((

Hobieful bap is most likely going to leave the company. Their company has been a rat and 2 members already left so its most likely the others will follow along. Maybe they will do what beast did and create a new name under a new company but the likelihood of them staying under ts as bap is low

I'm a K-pop fan/ Jonhyun wife/E'DAWN wife Buskey that’s Sistar, I was talking about Wonder Girls
I'm 100% sure VIXX won't be disbanding anytime soon. Jellyfish will definitely resign VIXX b/c gugudan isn't doing super well so VIXX is Jellyfish's money-makers... The members have been doing solo activities for a while now but they didn't let solo activities interfere with group activities so there's no problems there. They release regular VIXXTV episodes where we see there are no conflicts between members. They're not crazy popular like EXO or BTS but they have that "slow-and-steady" feel to their group and the fans are crazy loyal so I don't see any reasons why they would disband.
A hiatus, on the other hand, is highly possible. The 3 oldest members are all part of VIXX's vocal line (2 main vocals + lead vocal). If they all enlist, I don't think Hongbin, Hyuk, and Ravi can perform songs to the old VIXX's standards (Ken, Leo, & N take a lot of high notes, riffs, and choruses). So the group may have to go on hiatus for a bit.
Could do a sub-unit that releases songs in the lower vocal ranges that are more suited to their vocal ranges.
You're right, but maybe a rap based sub unit can be good for it. Something like either R&B or Trap since Hongbin and Hyuk dance so well in my opinion

No, they won't all enlist. Ken was born in 1992 and he will enlist in early 2021 but Leo will be back in late 2020 ( because he will enlist in spring or early summer 2019 like other 90-er)

VIXX didn't have a big strike since dynamite!!! O_O u know that Hades as a mini album did better than Zelos don't u?? Shangri La was a massive hit too! Also why would they disband when they're: 1- the best thing that ever happened to their company 2- jelpi focuses on their individual careers unlike the big 3 who sleep on half of their groups & favor one which result in members leaving due to unfairness!! 3- they remain the most consistent high quality musicians in the KPOP industry and one of a few (along with CNBLUE & 2PM) who are given free liberty to do their music as they please without a nasty company dictating how they should sound or how to make trendy music for the sake of it!! This's what idols need to stay NOT LEAVE.

Mary Santos I think scentist was majorly slept on, the video was beautiful, the song had some very impressive vocals, and Ravi had more lines than usual. The choreography was brilliant, I just don’t see how or why they would disband, Ravi does really well with his solo and Ken does amazing with his musicals

They're all doing very well on their on, of course getting ready to focus on their solo career as Hakyeon and Taekwoon are on the military. The only one that concerns me is Hongbin... He's not as active as the other members and the backlash that he received about his overwatch livestream really worries be. But VIXX is my favorite group. They'll be performing in upcoming awards and such. I believe theyll be okay
let's face it, those groups who haven't reached mainstream success and have no wins or awards after years of their debut will most likely disband, and its really sad bc a lot of those groups have a lot of talent but sometimes its not even the groups fault but the company that doesn't know how to manage them well enough to become known...

Honestly 24k makes such good music but ever since they got blacklisted and lost almost all their fans in korea it may be hard for them to regain them all back now that they are not blacklisted anymore, Bonnie and Clyde was their most successful song in a while and they looked so happy while promoting that album, I hope to see more from them and I hope they don't disband..

Ravi with his solo comeback, going to variety shows, being an mc/host, and guesting in radios/broadcasts, Hongbin with his dramas (he's a great actor istg), and hyuk with his movie (the title is happy together)
Let's not forget about the shangri la remix. That performance became a BIG hit during the start of the year!! it went VIRAL for many months!! And a lot of not just idols, but people in general admired their outstanding stage.
Scentist was only promoted for like.. a week but the album sales weren't that bad! Oh and after the promotion, they had to prepare for the concert in seoul AND in japan. it was hectic as their schedules were so tight.
Can we not forget about their japanese comeback? Reincarnation was promoted around of September and they had 1-2 weeks to be promoted in Japan!
this year for them was great because all of them shined both individually and as a group, and I think I'm really proud of them! they deserved a good break from idol life and take a rest.
and no I'm sure they're not gonna disband any time soon because they said it themselves that they haven't shown all of what that have yet (I think it was leo who said that?). What I remembered is that he said he only showed us 25% out of these 6 years.

Lexa P yes, B.a.p has officially disbanded but we don’t see it as a real disbandment. Like Jongup said, in the past 7 years they all had many things they wanted to try out but couldn’t because of TS, so for now they’ll be focusing on individual projects. Chances are high that they will reunite, under a new name someday. Until then we shall all support each member with their individual projects

The company treats them terribly and they do not even promote them. Cross gene has alreay lost two members ( Casper and Takuya recently), and BAP has lost one. It is not the best scenario but I think that they will stay for a couple more years and then diband completely.
If Cross Gene disbands my life is over... But I sadly think they really will... I mean Takuya already left the group...
*SM don't know what a disbandment is.They debut so many groups and they are one of the biggest company. You may not know S.E.S , S.E.S is a trio made by SM they are not active for like 15 years i don't even know , but sm didn't announce any disbandment. They just let the group rest and inactive for many years , honestly i feel so bad for the fandoms. I kind of know what they are up to , this is how it goes like: if the active group became unpopular they will reunite the old groups and make a comeback for them , SM is hungry for money that he want to debut sooo many idols that he can't even take care of all of them , it's just sad , i hope SM will come back into his senses . But at the same time it means that the group won't get disbanded short of members leaving the company and by default disbanding due to that. YG disbanded 2NE1 and that group wasn't in any way unpopular nor was their popularity fading. That has to be a lot of pressure for groups and a lot of uncertainty. Especially if they have a comeback that doesn't do as well as the previous for reasons that are not due to the group themselves. But groups in SM at least don't have to worry about that pressure.
I wish they wouldn't stop promotions on groups just because they've debuted another group and they weren't the top group at the time (that's the only reason EXO and SNSD gets any promotions still is because they're still a top group). Or at minimum give more control up to the group and let them do their own thing. Like what they've done with Super Junior should be done for all of their older groups that at least hit mainstream success (SNSD, TVXQ, f(x), etc).

Nu'est can't disband...I only stan like 5 groups, and they're one of them 😭😭😭 Plus they're on the road to recovery. Despite being poorly handled since debut, they've managed to rise up and show everyone how hard work, determination and perseverance rewards you in the end. And I know the recent come back was after this video was made, but they've had 2 consecutive wins on music shows and they are having much more exposure in the media. We can do it guys! Ladies Code will be fine, the girls are definitely close to each other and Polaris handled them very properly after the accident, knowing Sojung has been severely injured as well and therefore has trouble dancing now. If anything, they'll stop promoting as an idol group.

honestly, even though clc is not on the list, im afraid that they might disband. i mean cube already has such a good impact from gidle debut that they might not really need clc anymore. and even though clc is famous internationally but not in korea, they don't promote clc in other countries, other than thailand and Indonesia which was recently. im scared that cube might forget such talented girls and only use them as a backup

I dont think vixx is going to disband since in their eau de vixx comeback showcase hongbin mentioned that they all wanted to keep making music, but ultimately its up to the company whether they have a chance to renew or not
So for those who are confused, all members of B.A.P will be leaving TS entertainment soon since their contract is ending. But all of the members have promised that after they leave theyre going to come back together as a group under a new company. So technically they wont disband but might have a NEW NAME like Highlight.
Now we dont know when this will happen but Dont worry about them theyre just getting started (:

If VIXX disbands I'm tossing myself off of the bridge to Canada. VIXX is the only kpop group that I found myself and got into by myself so it holds a place in my heart. Plus I still haven't gotten the birth flower edition of Shangri-La

Since people can't understand the idea of the video I'm going to explain it here:
From 0:00 to 0:30 I explain what is a 7-year-jinx
From 0:37 to 1:22 I show you some groups that ALREADY DISBANDED (some fit the 7 year jinx, some not)
From 1:42 to 6:54 I start mentioning the groups that will probably disband (some disbanded in these months)

-Wanna One wasn't included since we did know from the start they were going to disband.
-BTS, EXO and GOT7 aren't here because of OBVIOUS reasons. Even though there have been a few groups that were really popular and disbanded I don't think they would disband this soon.

-BEAST DISBANDED. There's a difference between DISBAND and REDEBUT. Highlight REDEBUTED because they have the same members in the group (except for HS) and they promote under a new group name (for example, when they performed in WI they said "We're going to promote BEAST's sunbaenims songs" referring to BEAST as another group) that's why BEAST is in the disbanded category here.

Yeah I mean at mama awards Jin did mention during their award for artist of the year they almost thought about disbanding at the beginning of this year due to pressure and stress and such but they still held on and got a hold of their feelings and such as we saw tae crying hard and such after Jin mentioned disbandment I don’t think bts ever wanna disband. i don't think B.A.P going to be disband, but one thing I'm 10000% sure is they are going to leave the snake company they are under now and it seems like the agency trying to hold on to the other member like how ts trying to hold on hyosung, (ps himchan daehyun) one was put into a scandal while other was being scheduled as a mc on a show (in feb which was after his contract ended I think). Since that ts gain a lot from secret and B.A.P (well their junior still don't benefit ts enough like their senior did) also that yongguk ever said that he will continue making music as B.A.P leader or smth like that (after his contract terminated) so there's a high chance that they have planned their comeback as a group after other member contract terminated and after they finished they military service (yg hm will likely to be enlist soon)

Yes they've had big hits, and yes, even if latest releases haven't performed well in terms of win, they still managed to get them recognition for concept, talent, beauty and all. Not everything is about wins. However, everything is about sales. And the fact is, VIXX is jellyfish's biggest selling band, which is a good sign. I don't think Gugudan earns enough yet to stand on their own, and their new boygroup(?) has a long way to go too. The fact is, though, that jellyfish has reknown soloist who do their part. And the main question remains the army. N and Leo will have to go next year. So if VIXX's contracts get renewed, what happens? Are they all going to put on a Suju and keep the band alive without the army members? In that case they would not be six for a very long time. Will they all go to the army at the same time? Hongbin and Hyuk did express that they didn't want to.
And if their contracts don't get renewed, what happens? Why was the point of starting Leo's career this year? Maybe they'll disband but jellyfish will keep Ravi and Leo? Possible considering they're both solos, and have a subunit. What we (think we) know is that they all want to keep on making music together (because they said so). But that can also be a lie and just something they say for fans. So maybe they can pull up a BEAST/HIGHLIGHT and go on their own?
We don't know. I'm worried and confident at the same time. But only next year will tell.
Let's not panic yet.

I think Nu'est and vixx have a strong chance of staying together. I'm kinda biased when it comes to 24k. They have undergone a lot of changes but I hope they can stay strong. I love B.A.P with ever ounce of my being and with Youngguk not renewing his contract I am certain they will all let their contracts run out I really hope they will reunite as one under a different company and is able to tap into their full potential. I don't really know any of the other groups that well. I heard one song from A.cain and I was about to stan but it was like they dropped off the face of the earth
Also cross gene I am not too sure about how much longer they will last. I hope they can cause they are another group I've been listening too for a long time along with B.A.P

BEAST was never disbanded. They didn't want to continue their contract with CUBE. Hyunseung lost interest in BEAST because of the way the music was going but still loved his members. Doojoon,Junhyung,Yoseob,Gikwang,and Dongwoon continued to be a group even after he left and then the 5 guys left CUBE[becausee their contract was up and didn't want to renew it] to make their own company Around Us Ent.
They even had a lawsuit to keep all BEAST songs and the name but CUBE won that. That's the reason they renamed themselves as HIGHLIGHT for their new company.
They are still together after 9 years next year will be 10 years. I will stand my ground on what I said because that is the truth. I've been a BEAST fan since the beginning. I will still support them as HIGHLIGHT until the day they decide to disband.
It was mostly like a re debut since the 7 year jinx applies to losing a member after 7 years or so or to disband. Since beast isn't beast anymore and they lost a member we can say they re debuted in a new group but we can't forget they are legends of course.
As a starlight I'm also really worried about VIXX, but I dont think if the members dont want they will disband because they are still Jellyfish's biggest money maker. The problem is that N and Leo will go to army this year, so if the members want they may disband to continue their solo activities forever since they have a good amount of solo sucess.
But yeah, the comment in the video is kinda wrong since shangri-la did awesome in the end of the year (although not at the promotion time).
I'm pretty sure Nue'st and Vixx aren't going to disband this year. After Produce 101 Nue'st W is doing much better than before and once Minhyun returns they're gonna have to promote together for at least a while. Vixx might not have had a big hit but they're still sucessfull and manage to stay relevant despite promoting once in 2018. Also I think Taekwoon and N is enlisting next year so another Vixx subunit? Lol I want Hyuk and Hongbin in a subunit that'd be great.

I'm a 24K fan but I'm just waiting for this group to officially announce disbandment. They were supposed to have a crowdfunding project, they got the money, what happened to it? After Cory left I lost hope that this group will be able to continue and all they've done now is release a few videos on youtube.

Beast is not disbanded, they only changed their name to Highlight.
24K is eternally ambiguous because they have basically no support from the general public, and because of that they've lost so many members. But I really hope they stay together, because the current member lineup is honestly p e r f e c t. I'm not 100% sold on the new member Kiyong but he's a cutie and I'm sure as he gains more experience he'll grow on me more.
Us 24U's are very very rare to find, which is sad because honestly this group is so versatile and talented, and they have so much potential.

It will be a shame if B.A.P disband and Lunafly is such a great band, bands in Korea have such a hard time they don't last, some great voices don't make it too far because Koreans don't support them. Lunafly did a cover of Reik's song the band that sang with Super Junior Otra Vez in 2013, they covered one of their songs, they are really good. I hope they still make more music.

Same reason there's a 7 year jinx for newer groups. Older groups tended to have 10 year contracts (1st and 2nd gen groups and the oldest of the 3rd generation). Basically the 7 year jinx is groups get disbanded because the members don't want to renew their contracts or the company doesn't want to renew the contracts. Law in South Korea has changed and 7 years is the maximum now for new contracts or it would very likely be the 10 year jinx.

I'm surprised that Girl's Day isn't here. I honestly love Girl's Day, however they are becoming less and less known by K-pop fans. People are over here getting obsessed with 3rd gen but forget the fundamentals of 1st and 2nd gen groups. Girl's Day deserves more recognition, they are probably one of the most hard working groups out there. SoJin, MinAh, Yura, and Hyeri are queens and should be glorified.
