Adding to the VG discourse, I've been playing VG's since I was a kid and have been pretty much for the last 14ish years. I don't think VG's have peaked in the slightest. I've played some fucking BANGERS (Halo: Reach, Titanfall 2, Witcher 3, MHW, every Arkham game except Origins, Yakuza, Persona) and I am still blown away by some recent releases. The Dead Space remake is SPECTACULAR, combat in Midnight Suns is incrediblely fun, Cyberpunk 2077 is maybe (after all the fixes) one of the best games I've ever played, and this doesn't even TOUCH the indie scene which, I'll admit, I am not as familiar with as I probably should be. There are a lot of awful games out there, but that's kind of a good thing. More talent, more exploration, more evolution, even from bad games brings the medium foward. Sometimes that takes a LONG time (I mean look at how many dogshit remakes we've gotten over the years only to have what is arguably the best remake ever release) but it gets there.
herald is one of the gates and they're not even that good since meteonis drytron is banned the only deck that really cares about the heralds beyond divinet is agents, but they're super bricky
@@bagorngo sure. But when you go second against heralds and literally have everything negated because they opened a great hand, you’ll agree with me. This has literally happened to me 3 times and that’s enough to go crazy considering this event kinda revolves around both players being able to play yugioh.
@@mug281 not really it's a turbo deck and it loses to the most common deck in the format (any kaiju is an out) and the second best deck in the format also ends up on multiple negates per turn if they have a good hand. you just have to accept that your deck is weak to something and you either put outs in (kaijus, droplet, drnm) or accept that you will lose to bad matchups and sacky strategies for a better winrate against other decks like how weather painters can't beat 4 mat zeus pass. or how agents can make an endboard that can't be beaten by crusadia unless they draw exactly 5 outs or how agents fold to a single handtrap and have 3 normal monsters glued to their hand or how a player might just top deck a raigeki against your 8 monster negate board etc
@@bagorngo I know it's not the point of the comment, but I just wanted to correct that Weather Painters can actually play through 4 mat Zeus very easily. I get the idea of you use your first zeus effect to wipe backrow, and your second to wipe the returning painters on standby but here's the issue. You can search Snow which allows you to get a near full setup by themselves and can at least set momentum back in your favor with that alone. So if you shotgun Zeus they'll just start rebuilding their board. And if you don't shotgun Zeus and try to nuke their follow up they have 3 extra deck cards that can handle Zeus easily. Ashura King which is a monster negate if you have 3+ painters returning in standby. Or Agent Moon and Phantom Knight Breaksword if you have two painters, allowing you to pop Zeus to out it or force it's effect. So if you have at least two painters in rotation, which you always should have by turn 3, and you search your starter before your backrow gets wiped. You'll always have follow up plays. Just some advice I wanted to throw out as Weather Painters are my favorite deck and they're surprisingly resilient.
"if I make Magnus with 6 materials does Maxx C stops?"
"Proceeds to summon Magnus and pass"
It indeed stopped :)
YOOO is this a Master Saga reference???
Cursed Eyes reference
"Ash blossom and her roach infested appartment" won the twitch comments today

12:04 MBT answering his own question... :-P
My favorite Isaac streamer
Someone told him Super Quants...
Dzeef so he wont have to read the cards

LESSSSGGGGOOOOO
MAGNUS
M A G N U S
I need more Issac in my life the last guy I watched stopped playing it after like a decade of content almost as if playing it was "career suicide".
Can we have a few isaac runs on the RUclips? Or will they not do very well?

It's funny that the new heroic challenger support basically does the same thing as super quants but way easier and for a far better payoff.
You should play Symphonic Warriors. Really good deck in this event.
the super quantussy
Wtf was that six-samurai game
super quants are allowed in the theme chronicle event? decklist?
they absolutely are time stamp 7 seconds
bro watch the video. holy attention span
23:36 Oof, massive Coder L in the chat
That six sam bit was hilarious and also reminded me why I get so frustrated with modern yugioh because how the fuck is that fun
No one making him play gemini yet
I liked the part with BoI
Maxx c needs to be limited
Wtf is that colour combination on MBT. Yellow collar from the shirt and blue cap??? This man doesn’t look in the mirror before going live?
I one hundred percent agree that Herald cards SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN LEGAL IN THIS EVENT. I literally have no idea what the f they were thinking.
