People use them at festivals so their friends can find their way back in the masses. Easy pin point if someone goes for a beer run or toilet break. Annoying for others standing behind that flag.
I use flags when I go to festivals abroad. Just to signal that I don’t speak their language if they talk to me hahah… and to represent Sweden of course!
