Today is the homeless encampment cleanup on Venice Beach for zone number five it was too overwhelming for the homeless person to decide what to keep and what to let go .So the authority decided to give the homeless an extension for another week they only pick up the items that were offered voluntarily
The guy just throws his trash on the ground when there's garbage cans all around him and a GARBAGE TRUCK Behind him!! That's why it's trashy down there they don't care!
it's fucked up huh?
Made me angry too, what we call inconsiderate bastards.
Imagine what the shelter is going to look like after a couple of days. 😳
He’s pissed because he has to move to the roach coach hotel across the sidewalk
Euthanasia
So this homeless guy gets free housing. He just takes what he wants and makes a bigger mess that we have to clean up??? WTF? Why isn't he cleaning up HIS mess? This is so wrong. This puts out the message that it's OK to be homeless and close down parks and businesses and disrupt all of our lives and they have no consequences?
Exactly.
Now let's vote the current leaders out. Get back our cities. Enough is enough.
No one should be homeless. But the price gouging of on housing, food, and other nessecities needs to end too.
@@melanieortiz712 The housing shortage is caused by all the regulations against construction. Hardest place to get a construction permit & most restrictive zoning laws. Then we wonder why housing is expensive. Well, simple, you are limiting housing supply with an ever growing population.

Well you can blame the Democrats for that
@@Americafirst-i8q At what point in time do homeless people take responsibility for their own lives. It's neither dem or a Rep issue.
They chased them off of the beach now they're going to be out on Urban Street coming to a playground near you.. at least when they was on the beach they was able to keep track of them now they're going to be scattered to the four winds.. not all homeless people are drug heads or alcoholics you have families out there now..

These crews should be wearing hazmat suits. I can't believe the guy working with no gloves. That's just really stupid.

I grew up around venice beach. I went there from the age of 9. Danced in my skates, ate at big daddies, tanned in my bathing suit and just had so much fun there. I'm in my fifties now so it brings many great memories. I've been wishing to bring my granddaughter there but it's gotten to be so bad. I'm very happy to see the clean up. I look forward to bringing her there one day.
Honestly, it’s very embarrassing to think the Venice Boardwalk was a smart idea to set up a tent, sleep, and live amongst trash where it’s a prime tourist site in California.

You are so right, plywood that size is $95 dollars, but considering that person most likely stole it along with those shopping carts is really a small price to pay for removing that inconsiderate beach squatter that was throwing his hoarding mess on the ground in front of the clean up crew after being told he was being given a place to stay. It's difficult to sympathize with a animal like that. Just saying.
Excellent report. Thanks for the update. Glad to see some of these folks are getting some assistance.
Nice to see them turn the Cadillac Hotel into an insane asylum.
I wouldn't walk those halls unless I had riot gear on
Do you speak from experience?
Yeah they will trash it and turn it into a big dump just like they did in the streets.
It certainly will welcome visitors to pay top $$ to stay in other nearby places.
The cops might as well put in a 24 hour sub station there, stabbings and fights are going to be going on there constantly. It's unreal, that is a piece of prime real estate too, noting like housing drug addicts, bums and vermin right in the heart of residential and tourist area
Always a pleasure to watch your videos, thanks for the updates .Hello Mike! Hello beautiful Venice
I can only imagine what that mans home is going to look like that the town is going to be paying for. He seems so careless even cleaning up his belongings or should I say well that junk.
Yeah, he was just tossing his trash onto the ground next to him, for someone else to clean up! What an ungrateful SOB!
What an asshole to drag all of that trash down to the beach and then when he has “help” to clean up the mess he made he makes it worse by throwing it all on the sand instead of in the trash cans and bins they’ve brought him.
He really didn’t look homeless
I hope the employees cleaning this disaster are being very well compensated
You see, people like this guy throwing his trash everywhere when the trash truck is right behind him, screw this drain on society
Exactly such outrage. They get to stay right by the beach too so ungrateful.
Yeah that kind of pissed me off too
He was told to. The garbage cans were full and he is not allowed to toss stuff into the garbage truck likely for insurance reasons.
Most homeless you seen last year are already dead and tons more are in the pipeline of a country on the cusp of society failure while most think the economy is great again. The end days are among us.

It’s great to see things cleaned up, however how sustainable is the homeless crisis even after they are housed. How much will it continue to cost taxpayers and will funds be spent appropriately and not wasted away on bloated contracts. We need these people to work towards turning their lives around and not maintaining the same old ways. Word is in Sacramento, Newsom is spending like crazy with all the new Gov’t covid bailout surplus money.
It's not sustainable. Just stupid to think that it'll all be well by putting a roof over them. But it's not about that, it's about how much the politicians there can pocket by acting like they're helping.
If it was harder to set up camp wherever you want in Los Angeles proper, is it possible there would be less of a draw for people from across the country to come here? I used to work at a shabby hotel 3 blocks from a homeless shelter and can tell you there was a constant battle against roaches and bedbugs. Even if a homeless person was bug free, they would "store" others belongings in the room which would infest the whole place. And then it spread to the other rooms, short of DDT its hard to entirely get rid of the infestation as you can kill the live ones, but the eggs are still there.
Cadillac Hotel will be infested with bed bugs.
These days I often find myself looking at places in the neighborhood and wondering, "could someone pitch a tent there and get away with it?" Things that wouldn't have been tolerated a decade ago are now commonplace.

What you are suggesting sounds nice in theory. But let's be honest, it's impossible for any city to do that, they will just keep coming. Where do you draw the line. The only solution is to enforce strict no living on public space laws and have camps far away for those that need them. You can house everyone. That's what unemployment benefits are for, to get you back on your feet while you find work. If you fail you have to move to a town, city or place you can afford. Not the most expensive in the world. @@borisquince6302 I don't understand what I said that was impossible! I just meant they have to help get all the way off the street is all. I didn't specify a method, just that the help must lead to a positive end or they will all be back. I didn't mean ta say it would be easy or anything cause it won't be easy and I didn't say the cities have to do all the work for them, just keep helping and guiding the ones that really WANT to get out of the gutter. You want brutal honesty...ok. This problem is most likely not solable at all. \m/
GIV , outstanding coverage👏👏👏
Homeless junk collector - “I’m a vendor”. actual resident - “hey that’s the broken tv I threw away yesterday”
Haha I bet it is😁
You can call garbage art,
but it's still garbage!
The mayor quickly called for this cleanup after he got a voter recall notice.
He's leaving the position to be the ambassador to India. He doesn't need to do anything really.

It's Newsome. Venice is a major homeless Hotspot. Well known. It's the symbol of the entire California problem. I'll bet the feces up north is getting cleaned up as well.
There is no recall for the mayor and you no it so don't start crap , is about time this was done take the city back
8:49 trash can 5 feet from him. Yet he prefers to throw it on the ground. This is why they need to go.
Yes
Can’t wait to see your next video 🥰 God bless all the homeless people and I’m praying for them. 🙏 I can see some people have a lot of trash and some keep everything very tidy either way each person has a story and each person has different needs to overcome being homeless. This can’t be easy for the homeless and the people trying to help that are truly compassionate. I think people build all that stuff around them to feel a sense of security I can’t Imagine having no sense of security not feeling safe not able to lock my door and sleep in peace.
How in the world do they get all that junk to the boardwalk? That couch! The kitchen sink!!... It's like watching "Hoarders" but outside. The Cadillac Hotel is a cool old building. They're lucky to be close to the beach. The lady @11:21 was actually trying to listen to the woman and show her human recognition. She's cool.
This is so sad to see what VB has turned into. Thank you for a great video!
They've known about the clean up for weeks, yet still their trash is on the streets.
Why would they clean it up if they know the maid is coming to clean it up for them?
"It's not easy" which is exactly why it should have never been allowed to happen.
They all just move to the metro. I ride the gold line from union Station to pasadena and now it's filled with homeless people sleeping on the trains. Just moving from one location to another.
