We almost got the answer to this! Disney had more Pixie movies planned, but they scrapped them. Direct to dvd movies just weren’t bringing in money like they used to. They had plans for a movie called “Tink meets Peter” which was supposed to bridge the gap between the Pixie Hollow Movies and Peter Pan.
THAT MAKES SENSE! Since Peter never grows up, she loves him more than anyone. But then comes Wendy, the personification of "maturing and growing up" and of course she can't help but hate her!
And this goes waaaay further because it turns out the Thinkerbell movies we know today are just a bunch of re used concepts from what originally was supposed to be one movie, you can search it up as "Tinker Bell and the ring of Belief". In this movie there were some more darker themes around the question of how fairies can die. And well most of Tink's friends kinda die during the movie (they were supposed to come back later but they still disappear) as a reference to the theater version of Peter Pan in which the children in the audience have to interact and prove they believe in fairies to make Tinkerbell come back to life. In some of the concepts for this movie Peter Pan was supposedly going to make an appearance at the finale to distract the pirates along with some orphan kids Tink was going to befriend, while Thinker Bell saved the magic of Neverland. So yeah it kinda aligns with the theory that Thinker Bell is more wary about other people hurting Peter because while they just met she went through the loss of her other friends and would hate something like that happening to him so she becomes more jealous and overprotective of him.
Considering Peter seems to be the only person she has left in her life, her jealousy to Wendy actually makes a lot of sense. It’s not about romantic feelings, it’s about losing the one person who’s always believed in her. Plus she loves the adventures he takes her on and doesn’t want them to ever end bc (as shown in the movies) she’s pretty curious and free spirited and adventurous
YOOOO you NEED to listen to “Tinkerbell’s Villain Song” by Lydia the Bard! I LOVE THAT SONG. It’s about how, after some time, children stopped believing in fairies, and in desperation, Tink kidnaps her and the last of her friends’ children and brings them to Nevwrland. Silvermist and Fawn are dead. Peter is Tink’s human, and she’s PROTECTIVE to a vicious level, especially since leaving Neverland means the Lost Boys will forget the fairies and grow up, and Tink not only has her friend’s to worry about, but Periwinkle as well. Wendy showing up in Neverland encourages the Lost Boys to want to go home, so Tink tries to hit her out of the sky or drown her to get her out of the way. Wendy doesn’t believe in fairies so Tink has no qualms killing her. What’s FASCINATING is the attachment to fae lore. Children taken at night by fairies who won’t let them leave. You can even tell that Peter takes after Tink a lot, with the artist giving him little puffs on his shoes, sharpened teeth (Peter in the books has all of his baby teeth, which puts him at about 8 at the oldest), and pointed ears.
There’s actually a small lore example for this, we learn (forget where) that a fairy will die if their human that created them dies. So it’s possible Peter Pan is this human to tinker bell and that’s why she brought him to never land. So she wouldn’t die like her friends. We don’t know how old her friends are but it’s also possible their humans died early. This is if you really want to connect the personalities I’m almost positive that it came from the original Peter Pan book. I’m pretty sure it’s also not if the human dies but forgets about wonder, aka grow up. But I think dying would have the same effect if they always believed possibly…or maybe ghosts believing counts…yeah let’s get out of this worm hole Edit: this got more attention then I thought, this was just a fun idea I had I don’t know how it would truly work. I know my idea is wrong I just thought it was fun and the only way I could think to connect the personalities and why she’s so protective of Peter and by herself.

@@maemayhem08 I remember reading it somewhere like a year ago. I think it was from the og Peter Pan movie. I could be completely wrong and it may just be a headcanon people use but I remember learning it from a official source
I thought that a fairy dies when no one believes in them anymore. It was explained in piterpan movie, where the Wendy's daughter said that she didn't believed in fairies.
Its funny that as a kid i was indifferent to Tinkerbell, but in adulthood she became my favorite thing to come out of the Disney Peter Pan movie with these spin-off films. Wish we would have got that movie explaining how she met Peter and why she began resenting human children
The Disney fairy books tell us! So Disney release a whole line of chapter books through Scholastic that tell the stories of many of the fairies in Pixie Hollow, some being about Rosetta or Fawn, but others being about fairies like Bes or Rani who never made it to the films. There were even ones from Tinkerbell's pov where I believe its in "The Trouble with Tink" where Peter Pan makes a cameo.
What’s interesting is that the books (separate in both lore and characters from the films) are actually set post the film Peter Pan where they explain Tink has had a falling out with Peter Pan and has returned to Pixie Hallow
Its so funny how the movies changed all the books lore, cuz in the books,Tink meet Peter after saving him from a shark (he was trying to steal the shark tooth), and years later she leaves him cuz she thought he taked her from granted. But I truly love the movies and how they show how a fairy born and all their society "ecosystem" and way of life.
From what I’ve heard the films where supposed to slowly lead to the old film where she meets peter. But for some reason the last film about the never beast got some much hate they stopped making the films even though they had plans for the last film where Tink would finally meet Peter. I’m really annoyed by this especially when I actually really enjoyed the never beast
Yea actually the studio that created the movies was shut down so sadly they couldn’t make anymore tinkerbell movies. If you look there are some scenes from the upcoming movies that aren’t finished but we can see what happens sorta. Very unfortunate
And there's a deleted/lost storyboard for a movie that never happened....it was called "Tinkerbell and the Ring of Belief"🧚♀️🍃⭕ From what I've seen, it looks like the movie was taking kinda a dark turn...and it mentioned why children are important to the fairies of Pixie Hollow and the stakes were high 🤔
When you read the book, it says the whole reason why Tink hated Wendy was because she thought Wendy was gonna take Peter away from her. She wanted to be his fairy, but Peter held his ground and says he’s a boy and that he doesn’t want to possess a girl fairy (it was a respect thing) but Tink didn’t like that. When she saw Wendy and Peter giggling with each other and gossiping (causing Peter to forget that Tink was stuck in a drawer), that’s when her jealousy set in. It just sealed the deal when Wendy was leaning in to kiss Peter. Also fun fact, Tink didn’t just wanna knock Wendy out of the sky, in the book she told the Lost Boys that Peter said he wanted Wendy to be killed. One of the lost boys did in fact shoot Wendy through the heart with an arrow, knocking her out of the sky and causing major brain injuries. Luckily Wendy didn’t die, a button Peter gave her as his “kiss” brought her back to life. She was unconscious for a month, though.
And Peter Pan is a boy no older than 12 (most people think, because he still has all his baby/milk teeth). He never felt romantic attraction to ANYONE. Not even Wendy. That's the ultimate reason why Wendy left Neverland because she asked Peter and he said he thought of her only as a mother. Tinkerbell stayed with Peter Pan for years because she likes him romantically but he never reciprocated and now she feels threatened because Peter took Wendy to be the 'mother' to the Lost Boys because she knows a lot of bedtime stories, with Peter play-acting as the father. Oh, Tiger Lily also likes Peter but she got rejected by him. IIRC it was explicitly mentioned that it was because he's a child and he doesn't feel any romantic attraction to anyone, phrased like girls grow faster than boys emotionally.
It is always possible that she was able to the makeshift pixie dust "tree" from the Pirate Fairy movie up and running again so her time with Peter couldn't end before she was ready to go home
I wonder if perhaps Peter was the Tink's child laugh. And perhaps as Peter became immortal, she did as well and outlived her friends leaving Peter Pan as her only one. Although there's also a music video that goes into this idea of Tink being a villian in depth. Tinkerbell's villain song was dark but iconic.
Her character is based of the Peter Pan story, it was all added afterwards. The Tinkerbell you see in the old movie doesn't have that past. See it as a parallel universe.
I think the books (not the mother dove series by Gail Carson Levine, but the Disney fairy series from like 2005) were set after Peter pan, cuz in one book she goes back to the stump to get her spare hammer. So I think it's possible she met Peter, got swept up in her feelings, realized it, and then went back to her friends.
In comics and old fairies she was in conflict with Peter because of Wendy so she came back to live in Pixie Hollow but she still visited Peter from time to time. She was spending more time with Terrance 🌼
I have a theory that Tink fell in love with Peter and that she either had to give up her access to pixie hollow to be with him or maybe she chooses to move into the Lost Boy's hideout and something happens to Pixie Hollow while she isn't there!
I thought I read some where that Tink in the Peter Pan movie was in love with Peter, and she disliked Wendy so much because she was jealous. But I have no idea if my brain made up that fact or if I really did see it somewhere.
@@bagelisdead it's in the books, there's one who take place after the Peter pan movies. It's called something like "Fairy dust and the magical egg" (although I'm not sure it's the real english title 😅). Tink has a conversation with a friend implying she at one point realised Peter was never going to love her like she loves him and then decides to leave him and go back to pixie hollow
That was always my theory. And she returned to find all the other fairies dead. Later she meets Peter and sees his resemblance to Terrance and becomes attached to him because he's like a piece of home and everything she lost. But as dark as Disney gets there's no way they're going to make it cannon. Hint and keep the idea alive yes, but not straight up make the final Tinkerbell movie like that.
In the pixie hollow books she was friends with Peter and after what happened with Wendy she goes back to Pixie hollow to be with her friebds. The books make way more sense than the movies and had such a better storyline
This. She was never jeallous, only ever sad or angry that she wasn't as "good" as other fairies. And she always worked towards bettering herself both personality wise and skill wise. My theory is that Peter Pan did the same to her that he did to those boys and later Wendy. He took her away from her home. I think she didn't hate Wendy, i believe she wanted to deter her, to make Wendy not follow Peter so it wouldn't repeat the cycle.
There is actually a nice story in a music video of lydia the bard, she makes villain songs for disney girls and there is always a story in the description
There's a really cool song and animatic on youtube about this. It's called Fall little Wendy bird fall by Lydia the Bard. We know from the Thinkerbell movies that a fairy is born when a child first laughs so basically what gives fairies life is people believing in them, but once they grow up they stop believing and the fairy dies. In the animatic is shown that Think is Peter's fairy and she is the one that brings him to neverland. Her friends from the movies are the orher lost boys fairies. But once Wendy comes to the Neverland she starts to educate the boys which puts her friends and herself in danger. That's whay she doesn't like Wendy
Wait this unlocked a deep memory. I had a Tinkerbell book. Like Pixie Hollows book from Tinks POV. And I remember in the book, there was a scene where she met up with Peter. She would get her daily rations and share it with Peter. And even when I was a little girl, I got the feeling from the book that Tink was in love with Peter. She just could never be with him. I vaguely remember it being a secret that she saw him. Like it was forbidden, but I don't remember for sure
There’s Disney fairies books that show Tink meeting Peter and it’s while she still lives in Pixie Hollow and her friends are alive! Books where Tink and Peter interact: Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg, Trouble with Tink, Tink North of Neverland, Fairy Haven and the Quest for the Wand, Fairies and the Quest for Neverland My theory as far as Tink’s personality shift, is that Tink was always petty, sassy and jealous, but she had friends to steer her away from those behaviors and learn to be kind, but with Peter (who seems to always bring out the most immature qualities in people) he encourages that behavior and emotionally manipulates Tink to make her feel a certain way about him. I’m ngl I would love to have seen a movie where Tink had to choose between Peter and Terrance and choose Peter instead and the consequences of that decision to leave him and Pixie hollow behind. But it’s worth noting that Pixie Hollow still exists during the time Tink spends with Peter Pan and that for all we know her friends are still alive.

In the book Lost boy, which is an adaptation to the original story in the perspective of captain hook what is basically pixy hollow burns down, so maybe something like that happened because the book is more inspired by the original novel and the original novel is apparently quite horrifying
Look up the song by Lydia the Bard "Fall Wendy Bird Fall" Iys basically if tinkerbell was (more of) a bad guy, rationalizing that she hated wendy because the lost boys were the ones keeping her remaining friends alive by keeping them in Neverland where they would never lose their belief in fairies.
I have a theory: You know how faries are born from a babies laugh? I think Tink knows that Peter was the one who laughed, took him from his home, and brought him to Neverland. And i think Tink knew that if Wendy brought Peter to her home and the other lost boys, her and her fairy friends would die, because bringing Peter and the lost boys to Wendys world, would later make them think faries arent real and kill them off, one by one.
Well it depends on what story you’re going to off, cause in the lost boy(a play about Peter Pan becoming Peter Pan, and as well as a biography for J. M. Berrie) it follows the story of how Peter Pan becomes Peter Pan, the fairies actually don’t live on neverland, but on an islet off to the side, but because of the croc Peter Pan touched land (which you can’t do otherwise you know…you never grow up) and tink felt guilty so she stayed and touched land as well, to be with Peter Pan. Then again I re-iterate this that this is the lost boy play, but it’s is rather intriguing to think about!
Ok theory: Stockholm syndrome. Hear me out! Peter Pan needed a way to get the kids to the Neverland and new the fairies had a way to make things float, so he kidnapped one of the fairies (tinker bell) and over time he became all she cared about
I really like Lynda the bard’s villain song for tinkerbell as an explanation. One since it builds off of the whole a child’s belief in fairies is what keeps them alive. It’s also a good song
Still wonder how she end up losing her talent, and becoming really that obsessed btch towards Peter who doesnt even acknowledge her. Come to think of it, its sad...how her fate ends up being alone with someone who doesnt love or see her the way she sees him. And if ever her friends really died, its saddd. That is why I like how the tinkerbell series ended, its better in that way than to have a movie showing us the reason behind Tink being away from her friends and pixiehollow.
Go listen to Lydia the Bards villain song she did for tinkerbell cus a lot of these comments are pretty close to the visuals in the music video. Plus the song is amazing.
@@Ruthvika_Rajesh I never watched the movies, I’ve just seen bits and pieces of The Neverbeast one. But I guess it’s Terrance. But if she had a crush on him and he died, and Peter looks like him, she’s not really looking to have a similar looking man be taken from her again, be in romantically or having his life taken from him.

Don’t forget the books Reggie place after the pixie hollow movies and before Peter Pan too. She she also had more friends then just the pixie hollow girlies

I think the lost boys are her friends "children" and thats why she really needs them to stay there and she dislikes Wendy because she fears that Wendy will make Peter and the lost boys want to leave
No way...that would've brought closure to all of this. I'm genuinely baffled I thought they never gave it any consideration whatsoever
Well they better put that out there, because if there's money for woke mediocre movies, there's money for my Disney Faires
But uhhh the production didn't want to associate Peter Pan with pixie hollow because it "wouldn't benefit the brand". Yeah it sucks
She was also so nice to baby Wendy, who she met before she ever met Peter
This is if you really want to connect the personalities
I’m almost positive that it came from the original Peter Pan book. I’m pretty sure it’s also not if the human dies but forgets about wonder, aka grow up. But I think dying would have the same effect if they always believed possibly…or maybe ghosts believing counts…yeah let’s get out of this worm hole
Edit: this got more attention then I thought, this was just a fun idea I had I don’t know how it would truly work. I know my idea is wrong I just thought it was fun and the only way I could think to connect the personalities and why she’s so protective of Peter and by herself.
Whare the hell did you hear that?? Are you shure it’s not a theory? Or are you getting it mixed up with what happened on the second pester pan movie.

I thought that a fairy dies when no one believes in them anymore. It was explained in piterpan movie, where the Wendy's daughter said that she didn't believed in fairies.
@@elionaballa2818 that’s what happened in that movie.
Its funny that as a kid i was indifferent to Tinkerbell, but in adulthood she became my favorite thing to come out of the Disney Peter Pan movie with these spin-off films. Wish we would have got that movie explaining how she met Peter and why she began resenting human children
actually in the tinkerbell series she ALWAYS showed a temper so she wasnt completely innocenct, she got in trouble a lot
True but she was still nicer and more compassionate in the 00s movies
Like in the first movie she was in trouble trying to improve things lol
Ever watched "Fall little Wendy bird fall"? It's a song made by Lydia the Bard, it's amazing and has an explanation for this

And there's a deleted/lost storyboard for a movie that never happened....it was called "Tinkerbell and the Ring of Belief"🧚♀️🍃⭕
From what I've seen, it looks like the movie was taking kinda a dark turn...and it mentioned why children are important to the fairies of Pixie Hollow and the stakes were high 🤔
I liked the never beast one sooo much
The neverbeast one is one of my favorites ❤😭
The neverbeast one never fails to make me cry, I love it
When you read the book, it says the whole reason why Tink hated Wendy was because she thought Wendy was gonna take Peter away from her.

This is random but that pirate fairies movie was my absolute favorite movie as a kid
I absolutely loved that one too!

My little sister's adored the twin movie, I liked that one a lot thanks to them
It was mine too
Lydia the bard's fall little Wendy bird will probably be something you want to watch
She also has an abundance of pixie dust which is rationed by the fairies in the pixie hollow movies.
It is always possible that she was able to the makeshift pixie dust "tree" from the Pirate Fairy movie up and running again so her time with Peter couldn't end before she was ready to go home
"A young, H O T, version of Captain Hook"
😂
I wonder if perhaps Peter was the Tink's child laugh. And perhaps as Peter became immortal, she did as well and outlived her friends leaving Peter Pan as her only one. Although there's also a music video that goes into this idea of Tink being a villian in depth. Tinkerbell's villain song was dark but iconic.
You are an absolute genius and my brain has now accepted this as canon
@@Jax_isaViewer thank Lydia the Bard, legitimately it's where I got the thought from.
Then what happened to Periwinkle since they were born from the same laugh, unless it was also a retcon
Wow i love your theory 😮
There is a pixie hollow movie showing her actual baby. It was a little girl
The realization that Lydia the Bard's song for Tinkerbell is based on these questions.
I love that song.
There's a song for this!! Called "fall little wendy bird fall"!! Its really good 😊👍
I have a theory that Tink fell in love with Peter and that she either had to give up her access to pixie hollow to be with him or maybe she chooses to move into the Lost Boy's hideout and something happens to Pixie Hollow while she isn't there!
I also thought that she lost access to Pixie Hollow too like she was banned for communicating with humans, maybe even bringing Peter to Neverland.
You know peter does kinda look like terence
I am with you when said "young hot version of captain hook". He is my man (Tom Hiddleston)
They gave us so many villain movies that weren't even necessary but they won't explain this huge character change lol
“A young HOT version of Captain Hook” lmao 😂
In the pixie hollow books she was friends with Peter and after what happened with Wendy she goes back to Pixie hollow to be with her friebds. The books make way more sense than the movies and had such a better storyline
Knowing that there's a Tinkerbell villain song makes so much more sense when you hear context like this.
It feels like the modern tinkerbelle movies are a barbiefication of belle, definitely riding off the popularity of the fairyopia series
It's probably because peter is her only friend so she doesn't wanna lose him

Lydia Bard makes a good music video theorizing why
"Where we meet a young **hot** version of captain hook" im glad she clarified 😂😂😂
There is actually a nice story in a music video of lydia the bard, she makes villain songs for disney girls and there is always a story in the description
I need a movie where disney tinkerbell meets Peter pan
The book "tiger lily" is definitely up your alley, but it follows the original novel.
"A young (hot) version of Captain Hook."
glad to know i wasn't the only one
Ahhhh I watched the pirate one like 1,000+ times my parents were so sick of it and I can still repeat it word for word
It is explained pretty Well in Pixie Hollow books that were written before movies but Lorewise happened even After Peter Pan movies
I think about this every single time I even think about these movies
Wait this unlocked a deep memory.
I had a Tinkerbell book. Like Pixie Hollows book from Tinks POV. And I remember in the book, there was a scene where she met up with Peter. She would get her daily rations and share it with Peter. And even when I was a little girl, I got the feeling from the book that Tink was in love with Peter. She just could never be with him.
I vaguely remember it being a secret that she saw him. Like it was forbidden, but I don't remember for sure
Actually, in the first Tinkerbell movie, Tinkerbell gives a very young Wendy the music box that she had fixed at the very end of the movie
I just view it as an alternate universe.
The book Peter and the starcatcher is a rly cool adaptation of the Peter Pan lore
The other fairies weren’t written yet. That’s it. Stories change
a young (hot) version of captain hook had me dying
There’s Disney fairies books that show Tink meeting Peter and it’s while she still lives in Pixie Hollow and her friends are alive!
Books where Tink and Peter interact:
Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg,
Trouble with Tink,
Tink North of Neverland,
Fairy Haven and the Quest for the Wand,
Fairies and the Quest for Neverland
My theory as far as Tink’s personality shift, is that Tink was always petty, sassy and jealous, but she had friends to steer her away from those behaviors and learn to be kind, but with Peter (who seems to always bring out the most immature qualities in people) he encourages that behavior and emotionally manipulates Tink to make her feel a certain way about him.
This is why I love the tinker bell villain song by lydia the bard
It gives back story and a good reason for all her personality changes 😊
if u guys like theories, Lydia the Bard has a animatic video and original song that forms a storyline around this! its called "fall wendy bird fall" i believe

TINKERBELL was the only one clapping, so all the fairies died. This is science.
In the book Lost boy, which is an adaptation to the original story in the perspective of captain hook what is basically pixy hollow burns down, so maybe something like that happened because the book is more inspired by the original novel and the original novel is apparently quite horrifying
Look up the song by Lydia the Bard "Fall Wendy Bird Fall"
Iys basically if tinkerbell was (more of) a bad guy, rationalizing that she hated wendy because the lost boys were the ones keeping her remaining friends alive by keeping them in Neverland where they would never lose their belief in fairies.
Was hoping someone would reference it.
There a tinkerbell villain song about it
love the addition of "hot" to young hook's description
Well it depends on what story you’re going to off, cause in the lost boy(a play about Peter Pan becoming Peter Pan, and as well as a biography for J. M. Berrie) it follows the story of how Peter Pan becomes Peter Pan, the fairies actually don’t live on neverland, but on an islet off to the side, but because of the croc Peter Pan touched land (which you can’t do otherwise you know…you never grow up) and tink felt guilty so she stayed and touched land as well, to be with Peter Pan. Then again I re-iterate this that this is the lost boy play, but it’s is rather intriguing to think about!
fairies in folklore are actually benevolent/malevolent creatures so it’s pretty spot on for the 1950s tinkerbell to act like that
Ok theory: Stockholm syndrome.
I recommend Lydia the Bard's song. "Fall little Wendy Bird fall". The animatic is on RUclips and has a really helpful idea on this topic
WE NEED A MOVIE TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN THE ERAS
Wasn’t there a male tinker who looked like Peter?
Terrance?
Oh yeah she had a crush on him
He was also one of her best friends so
If Peter looks like someone she cares for and lost…
@@Ruthvika_Rajesh I never watched the movies, I’ve just seen bits and pieces of The Neverbeast one. But I guess it’s Terrance. There’s a kind of theory quite realistic with the song « Fall Little Wendy Bird Fall » by Lydia the Bard, so maybe it could be like in the song’s AU
Tinkerbell has a villain song that fits this really well.
In the movie, Hook, it explains it that Tinker Bell raised Peter and she saw Wendy as trouble
Growing up I always saw the relationship of TinkerBell and Petter Pan as a “Mother and son” thing… except Tink as the Mom, is an emotionally immature immortal creature.. or as some sources like to say “fairies are so small, they can only feel one emotion at a time”
