I liked Bishop in Extreme X-Men. He actually used detective skills
Bishop hasn't been written correctly since he was first introduced...I miss the Bishop of the Shattershot special...His strategy skill and powers made him a monster...Now he's an echo of his former self

I too hope this story develops Bishop's character. There's so much angst and trauma to unpack within him; yet as a teacher, if he can master his demons and lead with empathy and compassion he could steer the next generation of Mutants to be better prepared for what's to come better than anyone else.
I think he needs to work with burdy. The women who worked with sabretooth. She is a great character. I hope they used hete soon. And give her a more prommentenr role. I hope the age is krakoa stays for a long time. Tjete is so much potential here. That krakoa becomes states a nation like wakanda is one. And latveria is one. And that they don't fuck it up whit those same mutant genocide. It's becomming boring.
I want them to bring back Shard. Shard the sister of Bishop need to make a return. Bring back Shard.
They also need to bring back malcolm and Randal!

It sucks that the Marauders couldn't save the mutants of Threshold. I can't believe that they destroyed bishops whole character throughout the 2000's & 2010's.

I like the Idea for the story but I'm disliking the narrative structure of this series.
It feels like we're going to get Bishop in the Future as the A plot, The War College Mutants as the B Plot, and towards the end a C plot with Tempo.
I'd rather the story focus on the War College Mutants we're currently unfamiliar with and have Bishop go through his Development Arc WITH them so he can form a bond with a new team.
I just feel like the story is going to get spread too thin and it should be a bit tighter with less going on.
Right? Like, why’s it gotta be so complicated? We already have a few multi-layered X-men stories, it’s okay to have a few simple ones but maybe it had to a lot do with behind the scenes in the writers room, might’ve only got green lit cuz they merged these stories together
My prediction, based on my memories, is that the future Bishop's in won't be his timeline.
You know, this'll be part of the reason why I don't totally get the x-men: we have multiple people from different alternate futures like Rachel Summers. I would love to see if any of the futures will even comes to pass (except Rachel's, that one was dealt with.?)
I bring this up because it reminded me of one of Peter David's stories where he used Captain America Dani Cage came to the present to capture some lame villain named The Gold Skull. One of the present day heroes had asked if the future earth was in danger, it was alluded that whatever happened was already over and her "present " wasn't really 616's future?
Of course I could totally be misremembering it...
Rachel's timeline happened. That's why she exists. Bishop is actually from the timeline of the 616. He should be born sometime soon if not already.

@@MontiRock Incorrect. Rachel's future was not avoided. Rachel's future timeline of Earth 811 still came to pass. Rachel succeeded in sending Kate Pryde and later herself back in time but both times she ended up in the wrong reality. Meaning she ended up in the 616 both times. The 616 was affected by the actions of Kate Pryde and Rachel. Even when at some point she tried to change her past she was only able to initiate some things from changing but everything still ended up coming to pass and the results were the same.
Love the the possibilities and hope they expand on this . Although the art sucks his image changes too often in the book

Great vid. Good to see Bishop back. I thought the Portacio story in Legends was good too. Its nice the stories can still be entertaining even with Marvel editorial has in mind for the so called events

Generation X Vol 1 Hinted to Monet , Gateway and Synch as being Connected to Bishop in some way . In the Issue i have Bishop is dazed and calls Monet Grandma

I've been cutting a few x books lately, Mauraders and New Mutants. Haven't picked this one up, is it worth reading? Does it stand up against X Men, Immortal Xmen, X Force etc?

You forgot that Threshold didn't just have mutants but humans, so Amass wasn't there before the first humans and it was revealed that everything Threshold was time travel from the future and not natural there. Like Cable, I think Bishop doesn't know all the details cause a lot of the information was lost. As for Bishop training these kids to hard, Cable did the same thing when he took over New Mutants and turned them into a militant team called X-Force. I like Bishop from the 90's and all that, I'm not feeling this skinner and chiller Krakoan Bishop. It feels like it's not really him, and a whole new character Marvel is trying to pretend is Bishop. Blerd, I think you're jumping to the conclusion that it's the future. I mean it didn't look like Bishop was sent to the future but the past given the 90's style gear Cyclops and Jean are wearing, and the fact Bishop was at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. But also it's a alternate reality cause both Cyclops and Jean are black. Plus Bishop never fixed his future cause its a fixed point and will always be a war zone, the only thing that changes is how it happens. Just like Cable's future, no matter what he does it'll always end the same. Stryfe even said that once, that it may always be Apocalypse or someone else, maybe even another of the Externals that will rise to power and take over.

Hearing Ernie recap Bishop's "issues" made me cringe in more ways than one. Not because I have any dislike for the Blerd Without Fear but it is solely because, as JFloyd eloquently stated "Bishop hasn't been written correctly since he was first introduced... and is echo of his former self." Not since John Ostrander and the late and great Carlos Pacheco (R.I.P.) breathed life into him has he been anything close to what was intended. He has been shuffled around, misused, and shoe-horned into the story after story to the point of bastardization. I will read this series, because I truly believe in the character, but I do not have strong feelings that it will last a year.
