The daily Casey vlogs were the golden era of the internet
The good old days
Tbh, if you look back many of his videos were just ads
Gotta love the illusion of the "good old days" and subjective "golden eras"
So awesome.
Sunrise Sunset timelapses ..
When big celebs do this it brings them down to earth a bit. When Casey does it, it feels like a normal dude (wildly successful, but normal dude) was pulled off the street and interviewed. I'm into it.
You’re absolutely right. And you put it perfectly! 🕶️
you are into getting decieved, or imitated?
After the whole “I am a Jew” and “I stand with Israel” rant I’ve lost my respect for the guy. He is one of those birthright people who actually believe religious entitlement and it was so disappointing to hear. Nice guy externally but clearly some issues internally.
@@ZRizikWho?
omg you nailed it - YES!
This video felt so short but it's 19 mins long, Casey is a time wizard.
Check your credit card activity
I thought the same!
He probably edited this video himself
Don't forget all the ads time added
For real. They always fly by…
He speaks like he hasn't inpired a WHOLE generation of film makers across the world.... What a guy!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
“Film makers” is such a generous way of saying “RUclipsrs” 😂😂😂😂
you need to do a research bro! @@DrMario_666
If only there was a way to track how much sales Casey has generated in content related gear based off him inspiring people to create content.
@@MichaelBSteeleAviation yes man, he really made me buy the equipment i use to this day
For those who can't lip read at 2:48 he says: "if your drone weighs less than 250 grams" then it cuts off. The word grams is started but not fully finished.
If it's the same as in my country, you are allowed to use a drone if it weigh less than 250gram.
Casey is one of the great titans of youtube. Such a special content creator and human. Always leaves the audience wanting more.
Maybe we should ask shaun Penn’s mother why she discarded the rah-tah-did version of her son
It's crazy to think that because of Casey and his First Class video, a whole new genre of airplane review started on youtube. This guy has inspired so many people to start their own small media business.
100% agree.
Casey’s message of, “Do More”, “Make It Count”, and “Do What You Can’t” really resonated with a lot of people to follow their passions and step out of their comfort zones to follow a dream regardless of the outcome.
The dream realized doesn’t necessarily need to be in the subscriber count, amount of views, or money generated, but instead in the self-fulfillment of doing what you want.
Even on another channel Casey is just as entertaining and energetic as on his own!
Would be weird if he was completely different lmao
Daily vlogs. Tech reviews. Travel vlogs. Unboxing videos. Drone footage. Casey introduced me to all of these. Thanks, Casey!
Great content as always.
It’s hard for me to even imagine what that daily grind must have been like for Casey when he posted vlogs every single day. It was an incredible thing to watch.
weird how, anyone who has followed Casey's journey would know all the answers
.
I’ve never seen this dude before, but he reminded me of a rah-tah-did version of Sean Penn
I started watching him in 2012.
Love that Casey does his own editing and takes out his own garbage... tells you a lot about the man.
can you do more parts for Casey Neistat? we never get much of him anymore and he's such a fore to be reckoned with
Many of the famous people like actors only answer very short on the questions and don’t give away many personal details. Casey just loves to tell us about his like. I love it.
He exudes originality….that’s a hard thing to translate through media
The way Casey said "nothing to shake a stick at" just reassured me that you Casey is a quintessential New York classic
I could watch a video 5 hours straight of Casey. I really enjoy the way he speaks. The way he says anything is just magical.
Casey… always been an inspiration to young artists. I hope he knows just how much of an impact he has made on the digital world.
this guy is solely responsible for my love of filmmaking as an art form, absolute legend
Thats a shame since he hasnt actually made a true film.
To answer how he flys drone in New York City, I believe he was referring to flying a drone under 250g to get around local restrictions. Conveniently, dji makes a drone weighing 249g
i appreciate that they did a really full length video for him instead of feeling rushed like most of the other ones
Did I just watch another Casey video? I love this man, he's so down to earth and seems like such a chill dude
Casey brought joy to RUclips. Tuned in everyday to see what he was up to
best guy to do this wired interview, gotta bring him back for sure!!
Absolutely love this guy, everything he works on and is a part of is just better and better
I’ve never watched a Casey Neistat video and this is my first time hearing him. Seems like a great guy and still down to earth.
So cool to see this interview. Casey has been a huge inspiration to me.
Always interesting. Casey earned his well deserved spotlight.
This was awesome! You showed us a real part of Casey.
This man turned a joke into a series with hope, despair, loss and hype. He deserves every bit of recognition he has and even beyond that
What joke?
No mention of the 2016 blizzard of NYC. That video was EPIC!
14:59 watching this after knowing you finally made it is incredible
Casey is such an absolute legend!! An endless creative, and an inspiring artist. The best!
I was probably the most impressed with the fact that he does the entire video creation process alone.. which is what most small creators are always the most interested or most curious in. Like how can i get this shot or that shot but im the only one into this, so i dont have a 2nd shooter... or I dont know anyone else who edits.. really cool talk on process imo
@patcormick while Mr Beast has a whole Hollywood studio
This video is much better than I anticipated. Casey is definitely ahead of the curve. Making awesome content as always!
If only Casey knew how many filmmakers he inspired - felt like a small reunion to the vlog days -
Thanks
Give me a break.
Genuine inspiration for video blogging. Amazing talker. Good personality. Hope the best for him.
that's one of the finest WIRED interviews ever.
Casey’s channel for me is like Friends, i will never get tired to watch and watch. Its like if im sad or wanna an inspiration for some i go there and watch the daily vlog.
It's pretty amazing to look back on the history of RUclips and the very concepts of "vlogging" and "viral videos" and see how many threads lead back to Casey Neistat.
I have so much respect for this guy. Dude revolutionized vlogging.
As someone that use to live in Williamsburg, I NEVER knew the Casey went to Jamestown. That is absolutely insane to find out. Definitely a cool interview!
Casey is still as awesome as he’s ever been.
I'm so impressed that he does the entire production himself. Wow.
Incredibly humble, its so rare for a guy to admit when someone or something is better than what he does
I mean, isn’t that what normal people do is admit when someone has done something better or had a better idea? he says for the most part I’ve seen it’s the minority that says the opposite, even when something they made is inferior or what they have done is inferior
Become a fan of Casey around March 2017, was searching for videos of Emirates business class seats. The footage, the music got me hooked on watching every single vlog.
as a casey viewer, i'd say that the casey neistat equipment question is because he's a top tier vlogger while also being very tech savvy. i do get his point tho
I could listen and watch Casey talk and do just about anything for any length of time.
Best interview ever. Love Casey! and Van....
I'm glad I saw Casey last video about the marathon right before this video !
💪🏻👏👏👏well done on being a ‘one man’ creator as opposed to the ‘hollywood production’ team of way too many creators doing ONE vlog. I love how you create and edit, I even play the Casey Neistat playlist on Spotify.. I love the music you have in your vlogs, goes well with awesome images and drone footage👏
We need to get Part two of this ‘rare’ interview with the Man of Mystery!
How is Owen? Is he working now? Where is he living now? Do you still see each other at holiday times and birthdays? You must miss him, since you hardly see each other now that he is away at college and living his own life. He is such a sweet young lad, always nice to his sisters.
Man I love boosted board. I have a mini X and all i ever wanted once I fell in love with that one was to get the stealth but never got the chance since they went under. Rip boosted you created a lot of good memories and was by far the best and most fun way for me to get around in college. And of course thank you to Casey for showcasing them!
*7 years to get 300K subs then 18 months to 10M! That dedication is completely remarkable!*
I had no idea casey was in williamsburg va, lived there for 10 years myself, that's crazy. loved it there
Casey so solid, love this
Casey is so much fun. I feel like I know him because of all the videos I've watched. Good job!
Casey videos just hit different…
Also I never knew I had the same sunglasses as Casey, I love my folding Raybans!
No worries Casey, I am subscribed to you for life.
This guy climbing Everest will be so much fun
I love casey! His vlogs were the best
One man show here too, and I also find the story through editing. Thank you for doing this video Casey and Wired.
Absolute stud!❤ love how he wanted to keep going
Hearing this man talk inspires creativity in my head
Bike lanes got me hooked with Casey Neistat!! Man I love that video ❤
Thank you Casey for playing a huge part in my life
I love how you guys made the paper falling sound at 12:36 ish
Hearing him say Beme, activated a deep memory for me
He’s a fascinating person and I will always watch his videos!
Oh of the best story tellers online to day... Love all his content.
If you didn’t literally wait for Casey to upload his daily vlog, you haven’t experienced RUclips.
I had NO idea that the Bike Lanes video was you. That lives in my head rent free
watching this after Casey broke his 3 hour marathon goal
I’ve never seen someone answer so many questions on this show lol. Dude knows how to RUclips like no other
Thanks Casey. You are such an inspiration.
I cannot even begin to describe how much this guy inspires me..
I love how Casey had his longboard there
Wired read the room on that outtake at the end. 10/10.
A true remnant of the Internets golden age
The more I see of Casey the more I become a fan. Seems like such a chill dude
I can’t believe no one mentioned the Nike make it count video I think that’s what it’s was called. That was a great one.
Casey was the reason I enjoy youtube as much as I do now. Before Casey I really didn't care all that much. Casey is actually my first subscription.
Best man on the platform. Absolute legend.
Who’s ever idea it was to upgrade Casey to first, was a genius marketing move
The airplane videos were so much fun, take us with you type adventure
Nice! This reminded me of some of my favorite YT videos. Congrats on the sub-3 time Casey!
Love Casey and this video even though I knew 99% of the answers already 🎉
Amazing storyteller right here!!
easily the best content creator. i’ve watched all of his content and he’s my biggest inspiration.
Casey Neistat is always a great Story teller! ♥
This is best one yet! We need a Casey neistat weekly show! And I’m gonna create it and produce with him. Manifesting it !!!
Yes , sequel please
100%
This is the best one yet
So much love for Casey. Those daily vlogs were just incredible. Inspiring guy
The ending of this video!!👌🏻🤣🤣
Man when he says- sleep, wind, and cobblestones.. I feel that 100%!
It’s funny Casey has made a video about most of these questions haha
Wow! "I find the story in the edit." That is so powerful that it made me want to learn to edit. Except...
A cute wired interview for a throwback
That is why Casey is a true beast! So much respect!
This is the best video ok youtube in a while
