I understand the reason for the fxd but if you are a regular consumer who wants flexibility I’d say you stick with the 42 or 39 pelagos. You can still run a pass through nato on them using spring bars and they are easier to find. You get more water resistance too all while not paying the new price tag that comes with the fxd. You can find 3-5 year old pelagos in good shape for 3k and the cheapest fxd you’ll find is 4k. Plus you still have the option for a bracelet if you want it. Being able to wear it with a nato and bracelet allows you to wear it sport and more upscale if you want. The traditional pelagos is just better all around for someone who wants to take only one watch with them on vacation.

Hi Brad, I'm generally a bracelet guy, but here I'd go for the FXD. The world is awash with capable dive watches, but the FXD is unique. That makes it special. Have a good week, and stay safe. 🙂

I do wish it came with a bracelet but this is a collab with MN so there's that. I'm hedging my bets on seeing a 39mm blue pelagos in 2023 with bracelet option.

Different strokes for different folks. Each serves a different technical purpose, so I’d get both!

Are they grade 2 or 5 titanium?
