Great tutorial about a great function 👏
Glad to hear that. Cheers!
can they be used in scorecards (or some other visual component), and how?
BOOM !!! That's awesome !!!
I think you use a really impressive method and manage to transform it simply and easily.
Some questions my mind tricked me:
in the MTD measures, I did not see a difference in the Current values.
MTD should be an accumulative value month each month ? Because repeated all the values.
---
Current | MTD
Jan = 10 | 10
Fev = 15 | 25
---
In the QTD, 2013 10 did not sum (4,48 + 9,30) just repeated 9,30.
In the QTD, 2013 11 did sum (9,30 + 7,27 = 16,56).
---
In the 2014 values are accumulative on QTD measure OK.
---
Thank you for all of your hard work, and for sharing with us !!!
Keep going on this track.
That's interesting! I have never seen that before. Make sure the DAX measures are correctly written.
What's the compromise in respect of implicit measures and permitting end users to add measures to a report based on the underlying model?
Thanks for stopping by. "Calculation items" are not applied to implicit measures. Calculation items only apply to explicit measures. This is how "Calculation Groups" in Power BI has been designed. Also, explicit measures are more flexible in general.
Do you do some consulting?
Yes, I do. I assist small and medium- sized businesses. Check it out here: www.vizxlization.com/book-online
Hi. Nestor
i would like to make Cal. Group With Matrix Data, for Example like This Month and YTD dan next Level is Qty and Amount, please show me to make it happen
thank you
Hey Amir, Thanks for stopping by. Based on what you described, this tutorial will definitely provide you with the details.
You just need to create your explicit measures (Qty and Amount) and then create the calculation group for time intelligence calculation items.
Cheers!
