    Drums: Mizuki, from Lonesome Blue.
Vocals: Minato Akane, from J Pop group Predia, also was singer in Mochi to Cheese (w Akane and Kanami of Band Maid)
Violinist and Creator: Ayasa, known for the song "Kokuhaku No Yoru" and many other projects.

    EoE members:
Ayasa on violin and band leader (very well known in Japan as a solo artist, etc.)
Akane the vocalist was in the idol group PREDIA and also had a side project with Akane and Kanami from BAND-MAID (it was an acoustic group called MOCHI to CHEESE)...
WAKAZAEMON is an awesome bass player that is a member of Marty Friedman's touring band now and then... (and she is awesome)
Mizuki is also the drummer for LONESOME BLUE, a band started by former DESTROSE guitarist Narumi...
And YUKI has a band called D-DRIVE that plays mostly instrumental rock and metal

Thanks for playing one from my list Beth. I thought you'd like it, glad you did. Like you said, a brand new band formed in August 2023 by violinist Ayasa.
Since you liked this one another one on my list that incorporates violin but with a different sound is WINTERAGE - Simurgh the Firebird. They are not from Japan but from Italy.
I've been on a binge of finding new bands in the last month and have discovered over a dozen good ones.

Greetings! Thanks for checking out East of Eden, a brand new supergroup! Seasoned musicians from different bands gathered at the call of mastermind Ayasa to produce the ultimate music. Can't wait to hear what they have in store for us next!
Funny you mentioned anime music, because on top of being known for her anime songs covers on RUclips, Ayasa is part of the BanG Dream franchise.
This franchise consists of an anime series and a mobile rhythm game, as well as live shows where the voice actresses of some of the bands from the anime/game actually perform their characters' respective instruments on stage.
If you like "slice of life" type animes, I'd definitely recommend it. But you can absolutely enjoy the music without watching the anime if that's not your style!
Ayasa's band is called Morfonica and, as you might have guessed, also features a violin. Would probably suggest the chronicle movie for their debut song "Daylight" as a first look. Chronicle movies are a mix of several live performances and scenes from the anime (no spoilers, don't worry), so you'll see both the voice actresses and the characters they represent.
    Wishing you a great day!

You mentioned "Anime" Ayasa is a voice actor for the Anime series "Bang Dream" about girls bands, there are 7 groups of actors, 4 of them play their instruments and do live shows, her band is called "Morfonica" Yui is the guitarist for instrumental band "D_Drive" another band from the Anime series worth a listen is "Raise A Suilen"

Ayasa played violin in Sayaka Yamamoto's band (Asami was a backing vocalist), DESTINIA & Nozomu Wakai, Lonesome Blue...
Mao composed music for all of them. He also composed with Jill & Fuki the songs Juliet, Bloody Rain etc.(Fuki Fes. 2020)
There is an opening song from the anime Vladlove by Lovebites and ending themes by Ayasa....

I love violins in metal and rock, and that introduction was beautiful. I was a bit underwhelmed by the vocal melodies (that's a comment on the songwriting - the vocalist herself was good), but I've subscribed to their channel. Definitely a band to keep an eye on.
EDIT: Just seen the music is credited to "East of Eden + Mao". Is that Mao from Light Bringer, who writes a lot of Lovebites songs? He's fantastic.

Supergroups can go in a couple of directions, and this one went down the "beautifully performed but unmemorable" path. This is a shame as I'm a big fan of Yuki, Mizuki and Ayasa, and some violin, but the song just isn't strong enough. Will be keeping my ears open though.
