I can’t seem to figure out how you got .007 in Additional Rule scenario...
That is given in the problem, the probability of the can having a dent and a torn label is 0.007. That is the P(A and B) part.
@@jdigitalTutoring wouldn’t 0.05(A) x 0.03(B) = 0.0015? Or am I missing something? Super confused
That's only true if they are independent events. Since they give the value as 0.0007 means they are not independent events.
@@Sam_Guine need to subtract 0.007 or it would double count value
