One of the best videos I have seen on this channel! The member podcasts are great ways to motivate yourself to do better. This video however is a fantastic way to be reflective on your own practices. Seeing Steve make a mistake I can guarantee most of us have before in using the wrong promotion, as well as not having funds in an account makes me feel a lot less stupid! Some strategies I have used to help maximise my PROFIT is to plan out my Non Promos for the day as well, if I am hitting sport what matches? What account need some horse non promos? How many and what varied stakes can I use to look like a mug? Having it all planned out helps to make me feel a lot more productive when I tick them off during the day! Elite content lads! Bring on Spring!
This is the most insightful and helpful content I have watched from you guys. It makes the whole idea and process of following the system seem less daunting and achievable for anyone. The planning of your day makes it so much easier. If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail. Which we saw when Steve wasn’t logged in to all his betting accounts and missed that extra half unit being placed. And we do not want to fail in our long term goal of PROFIT!
Another solid vlog! My petty grievances on the path to PROFIT: 1. incorrect time (24hr evening time for first 2 races); 2. Crossback only had bonus back to 2nd place 3. double checking the bookie's bonus bet back T&Cs to ensure the race is covered, and triple checking there are the minimum amount of horses (as some bookies are sticklers for this), and confirming maximum BB amount (e.g. $25 or $50) 4. you highlighted this during the VLOG, but ensuring you deposited sufficient funds ahead of time [happens to the best of us!]
Good on you Steve, well made. Part 1 List the Mistakes, explain why they happened, explain how to avoid and fix..... - Crossbet Bonus back was only for 2nd place, appeared to be rushing (trying to commentate whilst matched betting), double check promo list, email or text. - Not knowing your account balances and promo eligibility amounts $25 or $50, double check promo list, email or text. - Not having enough accounts set up to spread the number of promotions being used, create one new account every week/fortnight, set a reminder and get those accounts primed for use. Part 2 Extra measures I put in place to avoid mistakes..... - Keep a copy of the promotions you used from the past week. - Do some data entry and tasks EARLIER than race day. Times, Locations, Races number, adjust Unit sizes, Make Deposits. There is a lot of data that is readily available several days ahead of race day. - Keep setting up new accounts, you can never have enough. - Don't watch the races. Place the bet and quickly move on to the next task, there is more PROFIT to be made.
I love this tutorial! I learnt quite a few little tips that I wasn't aware of before as someone who has followed for only a few weeks. The mistake that stood out to me (as I've made this same mistake myself just this Saturday) was not having enough money/not knowing the account balance in the bookie you picked to use for a system bet. I missed 2 due to this mistake and that is potential missed PROFIT! Following the horse system for the first time is a bit overwhelming, especially on a Saturday, but I now note how much money I have in each account in a separate row of the planning sheet so I have an idea of where and if I need to deposit during the day. This is a good tip for small unit sizes I think, because I notice I'm depositing little amounts often.

And this video has inspired me to screen record some sessions (or parts of them) so I can look back and see if I’m missing better opportunities. Appreciate all the effort you guys put in to HELPING all of us. Keep it coming! 💪

I reckon the mistake that inspired this competition was the CrossBet bonus being back to 2nd place only. Steve was turning around to talk at the camera behind at this point so was probably not as focused as he’d typically be if just following the Horse System and not creating content at the same time. In writing this mistake down, it’s reinforcing how I need to pay attention to detail like that when planning the day. There is now more chance of me not repeating that mistake. There were other mistakes like the 24hr clock (though that was a formatting issue on Tom’s end for sending a sheet with that error on it!), but by common sense you know the times were meant to be AM. It won’t affect anything because it’s just a race time on a planning sheet that can be deleted as you go without affecting the integrity of the spread sheet as a whole. Other things that I’m going to consider as mistakes for the sake of writing them down to help me: -When Steve felt that emotion watching the tip have a close win; I will use feelings like that as a sign that I need to not follow races for a while, then work harder on having no emotion WIN or LOSE. -All accounts were not open and ready to go. When bankroll permits, I reckon a good idea would be to sit down a day before and assess all accounts to ensure they have at least one unit in them, and more importantly have bonus back to third promotions available (or better). Then update the spread sheet accordingly. I don’t follow the Horse System so can’t give advice on how I avoid mistakes YET. I’m almost finished the Platinum course and plan on doing certain parts of it again before I go live with the Horse System, during which time I will be opening and priming my accounts. I plan to start raking in the PROFIT before the spring carnival ends… So if I won the comp, not too long ago I would have been happy with the winnings being held by you guys for a month or so until I was ready to subscribe to the Horse System for 12 months up front, BUT, I can make that cash work for me over the next month or so by opening and priming my accounts sooner. Looking forward to the Part 2 Platinum video!

Tacking onto my comment overnight - there was an inconsistent spelling for the bet 1 bookie for Randwick R2 (winnersbet vs winners bet), which resulted in the red triangle showing up.
