    Genevieve Bujold impressed me with her characterization of Anne Boleyn as a woman of charm, wit and style and a strong personality. And she is the prettiest Anne Boleyn ever.

      I agree she’s the closest we’ll ever get to the real Anne Boleyn coz of her authenticity in the characterization of this historical icon.

    I visit Heaver Castle in 2013. Its a great estate and in one of the halls you can see Henry`s six wives,included Henry, all in wax.
    Fantastic rooms in good state. The Labyrinth garden is fantastic.

    I saw this movie in 1969, and I totally remembered that it starred Genevieve Bujold, but completely forgot, or never noticed at all, that Henry was played by Richard Burton!

      Although I find it hard to believe you didn't notice Burton in the film, while the is a debate if Bujold is the best Anne Boleyn (compared to Dormer or even Portman) no one thinks of Burton's Henry in the same breath as Laughton, Shaw or Meyers.

    When I watched it the first time, I cried when Anne was climbing the scaffold. I watched it a second time and cried during the scenes where Anne was in the Tower. It's a very good video.

    to be honest, I believe Anne didn't love Henry in the beginning, but grew to love him later when he no longer loved her.

      In the movie maybe. In irl "love" is a modern concept--people married for titles, alliances, and power back then.

      Anne would have been better off if they let her marry the other Henry. King Henry acted like a spoiled child . I don’t care what anyone says king Henry loved nobody else except himself. Even when Jane had the boy he wanted he loved her for the fact she had a boy if she’d had a girl and couldn’t have a boy it would be the same as what happened to Anne Boleyn.

    I feel a weird fasination for her story. I think she's one of the most influent woman of all the time. Her existence changed the story of England (with Elizabeth) ergo changed the story of the world.

    Really good video,the best portrayal of Anne ever.The film was not accurate in some respects...Henry never saw Anne again following her arrest.

      Princess Mary was also not present at any time during the final illness of Catherine of Aragon. In fact, the two were kept apart for the last three years of Catherine's life.

      I've hated Anne Boleyn when she was powerful. But I've cried for her when she was executed innocently...

    • @crystalberry748
      @crystalberry748 2 года назад +1

      I know i didn’t like her either but she was wrongfully excited . The main reason she was executed ,was she didn’t have a male heir and she made Cromwell mad. So he whispered in Henry’s ear lies about her because he was ready to get rid of Anne believed them. That is why to this day no matter what someone tries to tell me about the love letters he wrote to Anne and how he broke from the Catholic Church he never loved Anne he was in love with the fact she could possibly have a male heirs for him.

    Awful soundtrack that does little to sum up the romance drama and passion of Anne's story.
