Most common issue on these gauge clusters is full power loss, ABS and Airbag Light will still work. 1999-2002 E46's do experience sticky gauges as well.
This removal procedure is the same for 1999-2005 BMW 330 328 325 323 M3 E46

In case anybody is considering doing this with ACS, I removed my cluster as per the video on a Monday, and shipped it to them. By next Tuesday the repaired cluster was back in my hands and re-installed in the E46. Everything worked well! (I did not pay for expedited service) . Obtaining status of the unit was easy using the email receipt provided during the ordering process. Recommended!
Hello. If the clister in my car has stopped working(airbag light is only thing on), would this cause flickering of headlights as well? 2003 330i
My cluster went out after we put a new transmission in my 2002 325i. Fuses are all good. What can be wrong with my cluster? Im tired of using a speedometer app to let me kno my speed. But would be nice to know how much gas is in the car. It drives fine i just dont have a cluster. Would a cluster from a 2001 330i bmw fit a 2002 325i bmw?
When buying a new cluster it is important to match your part number with another one otherwise it will not be compatible. We haven't seen this issue before but if you are certain it is in the cluster then you can send it in for repair.

My gauge cluster shot out. I then drove the car home but after it wouldn't start. What could be the problem? Is it just the gauge cluster or something else may have shot out as well?
These clusters have a tendency to kill the CAN bus. Try to disconnect the cluster and see if the vehicle will start.
Hi, I don't know if you still check on the comments for these vehicles, but the other night a I was putting in my battery bracket, the wrench hit positive and the metal, therefore making a massive short. I don't know where to start, but today another problem came up. The cluster stopped working altogether. Any help/ideas ? * LEFT SIDE TRUNK LIGHT WENT OUT? *

You’re problem is you’re relay fuel pump fuse behind the glove box or the fuse box under tho hood check the one inside as well
Would a bad cluster cause the car to go into limp mode and only go 5mph ? And run rough? Lost all power to cluster except the abs light . Car runs rough an won’t go over about 5mph? Would a used. Good cluster possibly fix this issue
Doubt the cluster would cause the car to run rough like that, sounds like an ignition coil.

Yes if the gauge cluster dies the AC will stop working.

Not in the 318i I'm currently working on. A/C works fine but all 4 gauges are dead.

How do I PROGRAM my cluster if I but a used one in my car from Ebay
I called a repair shop to see if they could program a used cluster, they told me the cluster needs to be new to be programmed
Now would this make it so the entire car loses power or just the cluster would lose power because ik my starter went bad but the battery wont give enough charge except to the seats and a few interior lights ive replaced most fuses in the glove box and ive been charging the battery a few nights and still nothing
You should be able to drive the car without the cluster. We have seen these clusters short out the CAN bus and K bus before which can cause the entire car not to functions so try to unplug the cluster to see if you can start the vehicle without it.

The warning lights on the far left led panel don’t work on mine is there interchangeable parts or is the full cluster f#cked
Is the speed pulse cable at pin 8 on the black 26 pin connector? It's a black and white cable
