World Record Hershey Bears Teddy Bear Toss 2023 | Full Video

A new world record was set on Sunday night in Hershey.
According to the Hershey Bears, the team has, again, established a new world record with 67,309 teddy bears and stuffed animals collected during Sunday’s GIANT Teddy Bear Toss.

I have been lucky enough to be there for almost all of the 21 bear tosses since 2003 and AS ALWAYS, it is a GREAT EXPERIENCE being there LIVE!! Can't wait until next year!

This warms the cockles of my heart. Looks like an amazing event to be part of. Our local team has its annual tighty whitey toss which donates it all to local shelters. It's pretty fun but nothing compared to this.

At most this stadium seats 8,000 people, so this would be about 8.5 bears per person. Getting to 100,000 is going to be huge (12.5 bears/person) but knowing the people in Hershey I see it being done sooner rather than later.

Capacity is 10,500.

@@justinredinger3553 So 6.5 bears per person and to get to 100,000 you will need 9.5 bears per person. I guess the Hershey arena web page needs updated.

Wally Kilrea of the 1938-44 Bears connection here. Sports Illustrated came out 3 different times. The first iteration was from 1936-38 and Wally Kilrea was on the very first cover. It was a pencil drawing of him but inside it states drawing is of Wally Kilrea of the Detroit Red Wings who went on to win The Stanley Cup that year. I have that issue along with a huge sports magazine collection that I'm looking to make a few videos about. I pass through Hershey 2 times a year and am looking for someone that may have interest in saying a few words about Wally. I know his son was born in the area and if I could be put in touch with him that would be great. Thank you
