  • Wanna play Hatsune Miku Project Diva on Playstation but you can only find the Switch Arcade Controller? Don't wanna buy a whole new controller for 100s of dollars? The latest firmware update to the Brook Wingman XE2 converter might be just the magic adapter you need.

    I own the exact same Hori Hatsune Miku controller for the Switch. I bought it from Playasia when it came out and shipping it to the united states made it a really expensive purchase! One I definitely do not regret as I absolutely LOVE Hatsune Miku! Being able to use it on my Playstation would be a huge bonus!!!!!! Need to get this adapter.

    Does that controller have full functionality on Steam. (Slide input and all) Would love to try one, but they’re pricey. I think I vaguely remember seeing an arcade cabinet in the US many years ago, but never really gave the game a shot until I tried the game on Steam a few months ago. Did you try this game on that leverless controller? And did you like it? I use PS5 controller unless I’m away from my PC and play it handheld on Steam deck, but I have a hard time playing faster rhythms on game pad.

    Ahhhh really wish this controller was compatible for pc since I’ve completely stop playing on console. Still debating if I should get a razer kitsune since I prefer the qanba obsidian, but might try the kitsune for tekken

      I own this same controller and use it on the steam version exclusively. It will work. If you get the switch version its plug and play. The ps4 version requires some software conversion

      @enrique7934 i dunno amount of songs in these games is kind of nuts at this point, and the difficulty learning curve is pretty varied and broad. each song has 4 charts, easy to extreme difficulty song chart, so you can work your way up as you get better at different techniques, and master at reading song charts and more dexterous in pressing buttons.
      I easily put 100 hours in without it feeling bored at any point.

    Nice. I was finally able to get my hands on the Wingman FGC and I'm very pleased to not have to buy all new controllers for my PS5.
    Is there any difference between the Wingman FGC and the Wingman XE2?

    • @NihongoGamer
      @NihongoGamer  10 месяцев назад

      XE2 is more for making things work on PS4. I used it on ps5 but only because the game is a ps4 game. If you need an adapter to make ps4 controllers or PC controllers work on PS5 native fighting games you’re better off sticking with the wingman FGC

      usually, switch controllers work on steam anyways, same like ps, xbox etc. i play monster hunter world with a switch controller without any issue. so the real problem should only be to make it work on other consoles. but i have to say, sometimes, regardless of what controller you use, you have to restart steam, just the game, or the whole pc. because the system sometimes can't handle like 10 different types of controllers. also for whatever reason, some games just won't work with the same controller right from the start, when i switch games in a particular order, lol. but restarting steam / the pc helped every time.

    Is this adapter a universal one? I'm wondering because if I could have an adapter like this, I'd like to be able to use the Razer Kitsune universally between Xbox, PC, and PlayStation.
    Any insight?

    Don't adapters like this add a little bit of input delay, even if it's minimal? Always wondered how much input delay the modern adapters have

    • @NihongoGamer
      @NihongoGamer  10 месяцев назад +1

      I didn’t notice any delay and for music games you’re usually playing to a set pattern of inputs so it’s not often reaction dependent like fighting games. In any case if you did feel any latency you can adjust the lag setting in game so your inputs still register as perfectly timed

    • @soramercury7074
      @soramercury7074 10 месяцев назад

      from what i know, brook adapters/boards don't add any sort of lag, what partly should be the reason, why they are so frequently used in the fgc. i was searching for tests here and there, was scrolling through reddit posts, youtube comments under test videos and i literally do it every time again, when brook releases some sort of interesting stuff... just NEVER got i any hint of them having input latency.
      HOWEVER, back then, when i bought my razer panthera, this thing was compared to a typical stick with a brook board, that pros mostly used (i believe it was a modded madcatz tournament edition or something like that) and it appeared, that like every 3rd or 5th input, the razer board was just that tiny bit faster, that it allowed the character controlled by it, to just get the light punch out and hit the opponent, whereas most of the time, both punches would collide.
      why do i mention it? because it was the only thing that i know, that was worse then a top product in terms of latency and only very slightly... AND most importantly, if i remember correctly, when this got adressed, brook planned to update their boards to match the panthera pcb... so brook REALLY cares about that stuff and when anyone could bring a lagless adapter, then brook is the brand i would choose to believe in.
      on the technical side, i also assume (not an expert though) that those adapters work similar to the bigger pcbs in arcade sticks, if not the same. so both things do the same thing the same way and differences in lag between those pcbs and regular ones seem not really to exist. in conclusion, my guess is there really is no lag or it is so little, that no one could find it in tests / notice in highlevel play.
      this being said though, it was a while ago when i searched for tests :D time to do it again and then buy this brook adapter...
      EDIT: just clicked on the amazon link and brook says, this version 2 has ultra low latency, whereas the older one has it not yet. so i wonder what's this about and if it is for wireless only, or if cable connection could have had little latency as well.

    • @edxlee
      @edxlee 10 месяцев назад

      @soramercury7074 hm interesting, i mean i own a snackbox micro that uses a brook board and i can personally vouch these are solid and ultra low latency it seems but thought it might be bit more latency for a converter vs straight board to console/pc

    • @soramercury7074
      @soramercury7074 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@edxlee the thing is, those boards usually have converters build in, right? so that you are allowed to use the snackbox on ps4/ps5/pc or even more. this is why i assumed it should be the same latency for converter sticks. but not sure if we can call it "converter" anyways since from my understanding, the board just uses whatever kind of signal is needed to make it work. so it should just have the exact same stuff on it, like a regular ps5 board, but other consoles stuff additionally. so you start the game, the board detects what is needed and the rest on the pcb wouldn't interrupt anything.
      so no need to convert anything, when you can straightup use the right signal.

    Can you hack the controller to play SF6?

  • @DaRkLoRd-rc5yu
    @DaRkLoRd-rc5yu 10 месяцев назад

    cool, i've played loads of future tones on ps4, but always just play on controller. the arcade controller looks cool though, but i''m not sure it makes thr game easier, maybe more fun.
    But those harder tracks i feel like the controller is actually better as i like that it mirrors the face buttons on the dpad, as i feel like that makes it easier to tap out rhythms by alternating or it makes it easier to do multi press buttons.
    But i'd love to get a controller like this for the novelty.

    • @NihongoGamer
