I'm sure initial purchases take longer. Once you're in the system, the others would take a shorter time. The process is the process. Patience is a virtue.
ATF wait times started to significantly lower back in April 2024 compared to a few years ago, if you want one now is the time never know how long this will last.
The difference in wait time suggests it's a matter of a small department getting to your paperwork, filing, and such and that same department having you in their system.
I dont want a suppressor on my gun, I love them to hear the loud noise and know that I mean business. Ok now the jokes are over. I am thinking about getting one for my 300 black out, that should be interesting. Thanks for the video, and I hope your year is going well so far.
July 14th I bought my first can. Well 2 actually. I was hearing it was taking a couple of days to maybe weeks to get approved. Mine took over a month! I was mad lol but then I remembered some people wait a year for approval
A lot of the process can depend on the place/FFL you go to. Mine I ordered online and shipped to my FFL. They made it incredibly easy. EVERYTHING (all paperwork ) was done via email. Pretty sure I spent no more than 5-10 minutes IN the store total ( all they needed were fingerprints ) . 4 days later I had both suppressors in hand. YHM R9 and YHM Phantom 22.
I did the samething. I did everything at the Kiosk and just had to wait on the ATF to approve my Form 4. It took a little over 90 days because they no longer assign agents to forms anymore.

That shop you go to would be heaven for me. I bought a Rugged Obsidian 9 back on Dec 12. It’s an out of state seller for me but it still hasn’t shipped. I’m guessing the NFA department has been on vacation for holidays? It’s never taken this long for me when it comes to an FFL transfer. I’ve never had to wait this long. My last two suppressors took 7 days to ship then only 4 or 5 business days for approval. Just bought another about an hour ago but this time off Silencer Shop. Hopefully it ships faster.

Excuse me for being dumbfounded but I'm an owner of several different firearms for about 20 years, and I've never had a need to buy a suppressor but that may change soon. I've taken my firearms mostly to farm or private man-made land ranges for years, as of last year, I just recently started going to indoor shooting ranges, mostly for convenience, so I'm a little new to this part of the culture. What does this woman mean when she stated once you bring a suppressor to a gun range you'll have to leave this item at the gun range? I live in Georgia, and I've never heard anything like this! Could Ms. Summer or anyone please explain what in the "H-E double hockey sticks" this madness is all about?
When you buy one there is a period of time for the ATF to do all the checks and paperwork and whatever they do. You can use the suppressor during this time but you can not take it out of the store with you because you are technically still waiting on the ATF approval. sometimes that takes a short time and sometimes it takes weeks, months, etc..
@@nocg1974 it’s a process that I would advise you doing some research on Google. It could be different everywhere and I don’t want to give you wrong info for your state, situation, etc.
If you use Silencesor Shop, you will do everything at a kiosk, and the Form 4 isn't that hard to do. You will have to set up an account on the ATF website and then go to an approved FFL. The whole process is easy as long as you know how to read. Everything is straight to the point, and there is no confusion.
You cannot return the suppressor if you no longer want the suppressor, you could turn it in to your local ATF field office or you can destroy it cutting it in the three pieces then notify the ATF to have it. Remove off the NFA.
That's rite, get all your stuff now while you can before government changes things but if you leave the suppresser at the gun range and it burns down or something, you lost your suppresser.

You can not return it. I bought one and I wasn't able to test it because there is not gun range associated with my gun store. Come to find out that my barrel didn't fit it. So, I had to buy a different barrel to fit my suppressor. Imagine heat that was around my collar. Yeah, but I don't regret it at all. I know better now...
Right, the barrel thread should only need to fit the muzzle device you choose and the muzzle device thread should fit the suppressor mount. The barrel does not have to fit the suppressor, per se.
