And then one day I’m listening to my favorite hard rock station and a song was played and i said who in the world was that ? It was a fantastic hard rock song. When i found out it was the Sweet , well i just couldn’t believe it. So after that i did some investigating and learned what an amazing and talented group they were. They have Black Sabbath sound to them. This video shows just how great they were !!!!

Who even cares about these popularity contests, they will never recognise raw and pure talent unless it licks their arses. It's the same with Deep purple and prolly many other great bands, who had the "rebel" attitude. I just looked at the list of the 330 inductees, and it's pretty much only bands/artists who made it in america, and a lot of them are not even associated with what most people consider rock music, like Michael Jackson and Tupac. I can't really take it serious at this point.

This band were Fxxing Brilliant! They went from Bubble Gum Pop, to Glam, then Heavy Metal. They were such a
talented Band, who showed their versatility not only as musicians, but also as performers. r.i.p Brian Connelly (Lead
vocals, and Mick Tucker (Drums) and many thanks to the remaining band members Steve Priest (Bass guitar) and
Andy Scott (Lead guitar) LEGENDS ALL OF THEM.

They made a huge impact on Heavy Metal. Saxon, Heathen, Vince Niel, Stryper, and countless others have covered this song. And to think this came out in 1974! Sweet was a forgotten influence who were light years ahead of their time.

A song Scott made, he sure had that heavy feeling, we enjoyed this back in the 70's,,, and still do, the jet effect is great, the guitar roar we're all waiting for, Brians great voice,,, a good heavy rock piece. Good musicians in that genre for sure.

Their Desolation Boulevard songs and videos from Musikladen really kick ass. I always thought they were kind of a second rate band but boy was I wrong. Right up there with Iron Maiden, Queen, Leppard, Priest.

Balls out, kick ass, great vocals, great tune. These cats were BADASS! Cool look, character and persona as well. I've been a musician for over 30 years and this was the band that inspired me. As tribute I aquired proper licensing from Warner and covered Fox on the Run for our next release. Doing that gave me even more appreciation for Sweet. The characteristics of their 4 unique voices blending to create such trademark sound that was only theirs was very difficult to recreate. Im not here for the plug. Im here for appreciation of SWEET! Rack, ball and chain
    Feel just the same
    Hands on the wall
    Maybe you’re just playing games
    Set me free
    Hung by a hound,
    Ganging around
    Is this for real
    I don’t know when
    I’ll be found
    Set me free
    Set me free
    Set me free from you
    Taken by force
    By you of course
    Far from my bed
    Maybe I’ll feel better dead
    Set me free
    Set me free
    Set me free from you
    Fire in my brain
    Burn me insane
    Making your mark
Don’t leave me here in the dark
    Set me free
    Call me a saint
    That’s what I ain’t
    Inside my head
    I know I’d rather dead
    Set me free
    Set me free
    Set me free from you
