Loved hearing how Jason Fried created software HE wished he had and that his companies followed from that. Also enjoyed hearing how his entrepreneurial spirit came through as a child; the story of how well the threat of boarding school worked was impressive:) Very enjoyable interview
I am the same way, I hate scheduling events too far in advance, when I do I really end up not enjoying it, the planned event essentially becomes a burden
Tim’s got a studio in Austin, but he unfortunately can’t fly every single guest he wants to his studio. Joe Rogen is set up in LA where most of his guests live or pass through at some point. Plus, the way Tim has things set up, he can get virtually (pun) anyone he wants on this, where Rogen can’t. In my opinion, Joe has some cool guests, but net-net, Tim has had a lot more guests from all different backgrounds (where Rogen has a few cool from a few industries, mainly based in LA).

So delightful! Thank you for this interview, Tim. I really appreciate how Jason is so relatable and accessible 🤗
His description of nature repairing itself was beautiful

No goals, no KPIs? This guy lucked into BaseCamp.
I think it's possible to succeed without goals but they cmon they HAVE to measure SOMETHING, that can't be true
They have a total addressable market that is in the billions
