Beautiful vlog! Congratulations to you both for enjoying the riding together! I needed some guidance regarding this bike for myself. I am 57 running now and have the hobby of riding on long routs starting around 40 years ago with our Yezdi 250 of 1974 make. Kept driving various bike after we sold that Yezdi in 1994. Around a decade and half was almost lost due to hassles of Mumbai and struggles for "paapi pet ka sawal". Restarted riding with 2018 Himalayan 411, which had excellent ergonomics, posture and low end torque but had simply terrible quality and more sh*tty attitude of RE service points. Also, tubed tyres put me off (met a near fatal accident due to sudden busrting of front tube on Mumbai Agra Highway in Sep 2021). Sold it off in late 2022. Now, considering my age factor (I can still ride 600 km a day on a good bike but don't want to do "cooligiri" after buying a heavy bike), I want a bike which is reasonably powerful, has weight on lighter side, can munch miles and miles, has reasonable maintainance and excellent dependability! Looking at its Japanese pedigree, this bike seems to fit the bill mostly but I want to know how it performs on climbs, on off road patches, on hilly areas etc. I have taken a test ride of this bike recently and found it to be good (except the low end torque but that might be due to my expections' hangover owing to Himalayan 411) with good mid-range torque, lightweighted, refined, well maneuverable in city traffic too (I want the bike to serve multi-purposes including long rides and city commutes). I want your view on 2-3 issues : 1) how does it perform on highways with pillion and luggage? Does it lag in response if we need some reasonable overtaking? 2) can you cruze on it at 90-100 kmph with pillion and luggage? 3) any particular maintainance issues, if you have experienced?! Please share your experience on the points I have raised. It would help eliminate the confusion regarding my choice between Suzuki Vstrom 250 sx and Yezdi Adventure bikes (Yezdi adventure, also being a good bike, having good enough power and torque, has more weight and the tubed tyres set up that put me off). It would be very valuable feedback from you about Suzuki Vstrom 250sx, for my choice making. Wish you safe and happy rides to come, over years and years! As I believe in 3 maxims : 1) cars carry the bodies but bikes carry the soul, 2)when you drive the car, car becomes the frame but when you ride a bike, you become the frame, 3) a passionate biker never requires any therepist for soul as the feeling of belonging to the universe around, is powerful enough to wave off negative mental complexities! One more thing : your bike's top box looks very appropriately sized. Can you tell me how many ltrs capacity it has, what brand and cost?? Kudos and keep on...! All the best!! 🎉
Omg sir.. its a loong comment..thank you sharing your thoughts with us.. Sir i have done 1700km in 5 days with 2 saddle bags and top box .. with my lovely wife.. most of my ride was on good highway and hill roads. So roads were good..and bike performed very well.. When i went to leh side. There was little issue on steep hill climb. Due to less power. Rest bike is awsm.. Sir if you are from dehradun surely I'll meet you and we can go on ride. This bike is good for everyone..
@backpackrider07 thanx dear, for the feedback. I think, the slight lack of power on climbs might be due to its less torque and less availability of torque at lower RPMs, whereas the good amount of torque being available on mid range, beyond 2500-3000 RPM probably. This one thing, it seems, is a limitation. Its power to kerb weight ratio is almost same as for the new Yezdi adventure bike (0.159 for both) but the torque to kerb weight ratio for this bike being 0.133 vs 0.158 for Yezdi adventure explains the lag in acceleration at climbs for Suzuki Vstrom 250. I think it's manageable and takes bit of time to get used to. Incidently, I am settled in Mumbai though originally I belong to Akola in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra but, have had my entire education in Madhya Pradesh. Have a small manufacturing unit at Indore in partnership. But if I come around Uttarakhand any time, would like to meet you people for few min at least. Please let me know the capacity of your top box (how many ltrs and which brand). It seems very appropriately sized for the bike! Thanx and all the very best!!👍
@vilaskulkarni3147 sir top box is off smk 29ltrs.. if you go for a big one. It will not be suitable for the bike of this size.. so you can go for this bike and else you can watch my video of accessories i used for motovlogging..
