I've been a Marillion and Hogarth fan for over 30 years. But no one does the Fish era better than the man himself... A TOP BLOKE... Many thanks Fish....
Lucky enough to have seen him in his prime from the beginning before EMI deal but I couldn't see him again because it would not be as it was Compare his voice to Steve h at a similar age there is no comparison and that breaks my ❤I bought a ticket for his farewell tour to support him for all the good times I went to every concert at Hammersmith odeon in the early days But the brutal truth is you aren't what you were
wow how can you not love this man fish,so much soul I'm his heart ♥ thank you sir making this song so much for being a song of the mistakes I've made, and I hope the people I hurt forgive me
Great song from a great album by a great artist.Long live Derek William Dick aka Fish.Lost count of the hours ive spent listening to Fish era Marillion.Never just quite the same band once he left.
Fish looked like Phil Collins big old brother here..lol! what a great entertaining performance by the legend himself singing one the greatest progrock ballads of all time
This is just beautiful. I prefer this vocal to the original recorded version. There is so much more experience of life and love and pure emotion in this version.
Pfff all these people saying his voice is gone are talking shite. Of course its in a lower key and the phrasing is different but if you would actually listen its an amazing version.
Vocals gone? fuck....the Manis 60. spent his life entertaining all of us. singing night after night , smoky bars and clubs, yeah ya could smoke back then, bad PA systems . ect and he lived the life, he is the real deal, no nikki sixx fraud, he gave every thing for us. and you dare to insult him like that///grow up kid
He said in an interview that he used his voice the wrong way all his life and only when he grew older someone told him about that. Basically what he said is that he destroyed his vocal chords prematurely or else he would be would be doing well today.
And yet I feel that while he can no longer perform the older repertoire, his current gruff voice still works wonders for this kind of intimate acoustic balladeering. I wish he'd make a couple more acoustic albums in the mold of Yin and Yang.
It's such a shame listening to this. Some of my favourite singers have succumbed to time and years of straining their voices and really can't do it anymore. One of Fish's best lyrics. Fortunately, Marillion still do this occasionally and perform a stunning version.
Fuck Me he's 62 Have you heard Axl lately Voices change mate just go wi it Fuck 1 more album then gone Buy tic go see the man Sing Dance Clap n thank him for nearly 40years.
No words to describe the brilliance of this version of a fantastic song. Fish era Marillion produced truly great music

His vocals are gone but he is still a legend! Long live the Fish!
Saw him live in 2019. No problem with his voice. Maybe you should go to a live concert sometimes.

Simple. Wow.
Fısh good man
This song is simply a beautiful masterpiece. But I feel some sadness for Fish's voice, his vocal chords are all messed up.
He said in an interview that he used his voice the wrong way all his life and only when he grew older someone told him about that. Basically what he said is that he destroyed his vocal chords prematurely or else he would be would be doing well today.
And yet I feel that while he can no longer perform the older repertoire, his current gruff voice still works wonders for this kind of intimate acoustic balladeering.

he had a cyst in his throat , he sounds great now on his new album, but for a few years he did suffer
He's singing in his natural range. I like it
Gościu, jesteś jak wino - im starsze tym lepsze
Not a patch on original but still a great song and Fish sounds good
Live? There's no-one there. Beautiful anyway.
eternamente fish
La voce è andata, dispiace vederlo cosi
😢

I miss the guitar part from Steven.
His voice has gone, I'm sorry to say. But he's a still a poet!

Nowt wrong with that performance, bloody brilliant 😀

Doesn’t sound like Fish, his voice is completely different. 😢
Whoa!! I mean WHAAAAAAAAHAAAAAHHAAAA!!!!! Blame it on me!!
Great song, but think he is going in the same direction as Phil Collins
"Let it rain down on me" sure might be a nod to Phil.
Please don’t ruin beloved songs like this stop it!!!
That sounded crap
No it didn't... Just different. Time has passed. It's still a superb song...
Tıme is very past fısh sorry.
What a great singer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
