I left the UK for Australia 15 years ago ( I am old now, same as Fish nearly) and was looking for for some of my favourite old songs when I stumbled across this...... and wow. There are very few covers that I think match the originals, but oh my goodness, I am tingling inside from that insanely beautiful voice and mesmeric and wonderful guitar. I have never commented before, but after watching the Pink Floyd cover as well, I am simply blown away by this harmonic combination! Wishing you every success!

There is no "best" in music. That's your problem right there. And anything can create emotion. To dismiss a technique out of hand is rather blinkered to say the least. I do agree that I wouldn't want to hear this solo any other way though.
