This is weird to me. NOBODY can sing this like Fish...no question of that ever. I honestly never thought I would ever like a cover version of this...but this is really good. You have a unique voice that does the song justice...and that is unusual. Great job!!

I don't remember it. But my parents separated when I was 3. My Dad was living alone in an apartment. And me and two siblings were able to call him on the phone and asked him to come home. This song makes me think of what my Dad was going through and how tough it was for him.

I'm so glad that you didn't mess with the solo. One of, if not the best solo ever. Tapping and hammer ons don't create emotion, which this song and it's solo has in spades. You'll never best the original but nobody ever could. Beautiful homage. Thank you.
There is no "best" in music. That's your problem right there. And anything can create emotion. To dismiss a technique out of hand is rather blinkered to say the least. I do agree that I wouldn't want to hear this solo any other way though.

This is wonderful. I don’t think I’ve ever quite appreciated this song as much before.
I feel the same about The Final Cut cover. I catch a lyric that stands out that I never latched to back in the 80s. I prefer it over PF and I know that's a bold statement
I left the UK for Australia 15 years ago ( I am old now, same as Fish nearly) and was looking for for some of my favourite old songs when I stumbled across this...... and wow. There are very few covers that I think match the originals, but oh my goodness, I am tingling inside from that insanely beautiful voice and mesmeric and wonderful guitar. I have never commented before, but after watching the Pink Floyd cover as well, I am simply blown away by this harmonic combination! Wishing you every success!
