Woah now here's another new SF5 character that looks pretty crazy in terms of design and gameplay. Necalli looks really angry and has some long hair and a matching facial expression to match his ferocity. As for his gameplay, he looks to be an interesting new rushdown character with both combos and command grabs. Seems he's got a few other tools like a divekick and zoning move to keep people on their toes. Have to say, really nice design in terms of Necalli's visual looks and a new playstyle too.
I guess Kars ended up in SF verse after Pucci reset the universe.

IDK why this got reccomended to me, but wow. Interesting time capsule of when people weren't absolutely annoyed or pissed off about Necalli, more just impressed and hyped.
Honestly, first time I saw Necalli in SFV, I was absolutely stoked. I loved his Aztec origin and how absolutely wild and savage his design and attacks looked. He's still not my favorite character from Street Fighter, but boy, I still love his design. I think he also looks great in his green and brown alt colors too. Almost looks like a more human, wild version of Broly sometimes lmao

I guess Capcom has their Wolverine replacement in case MvC4 happens anytime soon & Marvel refuses to allow any X-Men or F4 characters in the game.
***** Yes, Capcom lost the license due to it expiring. If Activision got it back (whose license was revoked previously), Capcom can get it back. The only problem is that they're relatively broke as hell.

Nexo213 if i was Ms i would pay for the license so capcom can make MVC again. i would do a long awaited ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 update with MvC4 in 2017 .
venom2101 I feel like Sony would be the one to foot the licensing bill. The minute Sony got SFV to themselves (other than the PC version, which Capcom specifically requested), Microsoft lost any chance at being the definitive fighting game system.
***** They lost it because they let it expire. Had it bene revoked like Activision's (who got it back to keep selling Deadpool), all the MvC games would have been removed at once. Instead they were removed from digital purchase one at a time through the course of over a year. They can get it back if they had the money, something that they clearly lack right now. If Activision can get the license back after having their's revoked, there's hope for Capcom to regain the funds needed for the license. Marvel's willing (don't believe, look at all the reference they've made to the MvC games recently, they clearly care). But as stated earlier, it's on Capcom to get the money.
And keep in mind, people said the exact same thing that you are a few years after MvC2, & look how that turned out.
He vaguely reminds me of Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi from the Spirit cards in Yugioh when he goes V-Trigger LOL.

I Still think Necali is really cool. But in a game of 40+ characters, it's easy to get lost in the crowd if you don't have the iconography of legacy characters, or above average character strength. It is what it is...
He looks freaking amazing. His movement kind of reminds me of Brian in Street Fighter X Tekken but Necalli is more feral. Dope character!

Aside from the aztec influence they're nothing alike for me: he has long hair, but even in the v-trigger where it's not dreads it doesn't really look like Kars' hair, their faces are nothing alike, both don't use much clothing, but the little they use isn't similar, from the little we see of him here his personality is different from kars', his moves are nothing like Kars' as well.

although he kept saying ''devour'' yet I don't think any single character actually devoured. same thing happened to Akuma though. he never killed anyone other than Goutetsu. uh… yeah in his own IF story he could eat Ryu. so that's that, I think. somewhat underwhelming, honestly.

Weird, Ken's 3D model looks less polished than Necalli's. I wonder if he was already done, but Capcom decided to reveal Ken first, that would explain why Necallis looks better.

I think his special moves in Normal mode, need a little more crushing/slashing effects on them, to increase the impact. The V-mode is fine and pretty good visually. A really cool character !

For my submission of "series or character Necalli reminds me of" I look at him and I think one of the more ancient Soul Calibur characters. This guy doesn't look like a modern fighting man but a time displaced savage warrior.

I could have guessed after Ken SFV's trailer when I saw Necalli's face blinking, I would have guessed he was a hulking muscular brute with long hair, and my guesses were right! I wonder which World Warrior's trailer is next? I can't wait!!!!

This has to be my favorite new design in years, when it comes to Street Fighter.

That's cool, the game has an announcer now. Anyway, we now have our New Zealand (Aztec?) character (based on where the stage is located). There wasn't a tease for any other characters, so I'm predicting that the Brazil character (for the other new stage) and will be a returning one.

Necalli means "Battle" in Nahuatl. Maybe Capcom was trying to push for a Mexica/Aztec warrior when they came out with this.
