As a badon main, I’m happy it’s no longer reflected. Too many times I’d pop an E and they would sit in it with reflect to deal more dmg back to me than I was dealing to them….kinda bs considering I can’t control that aspect lol

one caveat i'd add tho the whole "multiple balances" thing, is that they should do it by adding more generalized rules. it'd feel really bad, for example, if bow of badon E is reflectable in CD but not in open world. they shouldn't tweak things THAT specific to accomplish this
This is the exact reason I stopped playing this game years ago. Farming an item for ages for them just turn it into trash in a "balance" update. And the camera sucks.

I like the changes in reflect. Maybe additional balancing will be needed (e.g. nerf on fire staves if they prove to be op), but I think it's the right way to do it. It never made sense to be able to kill someone by turning on reflect and then enter into their aoe damaging fields, fire walls, etc. I prefer to think of reflect as a way to return the projectiles back at the shooter, which never made sense for damaging fields and their DoTs.
Bro, I seriously have ptsd from fire artilery burn. This is NOT a good buff at all because the only counter to fire staffs is reflect. Badon is kinda understandable tho
I miss old days when I start the game and want to roleplayer as local blacksmith, not being force to shitty meta build and expect to do only group content, not gathering, crafting unless I have premium and rich, also nerfing solo dungeons hurts me love for this game to get into full loot pvp high risk content.
Hopefully we get to see more range weapons played in ZvZ as it is just brawl meta atm. But a dead brain weapon class being the first to be nerfed when its used in 1 shots and ratting with dead brain "QQQ" spam just feels off :/.
Blight staff can move all over the map healing over time, if all my team decide to engange on holy healers, their done. u cannot kite, move and try to healing you and your partners at the same time.
If you have a team and play higher rank crystal arena who move together know when to get out and don't over commit blight is the play cause of the cc immunity if you are playing solo (don't it's not worth it live a better life never play forced 50% wr matchmaking games solo ) then you need holy to keep the monkeys breathing .
Then it just means you play against shit oponents and random comps. In 5v5 you will get stomped by any blight team when you will cast only 40% of your Qs due to CC chains

Bows kinda lack in dps without the E ability - in PvP scenarios you’re normally locked on mobility W and if your E is countered you’re dealing minimal auto attack dmg (need almost 400 ip to compete with other two handed weapon auto attack dps)…and that leaves just your Q ability…lol

Played fire staff sine the day i started out back few years ago. Mostly did/doing CD and absolutely hated badons and spears XD. I'm glad to see not every DoT is reflectable now, but i also understand it seems a bit too overpowered (fire artilerry gaming), so i hope they'll find a balance between DoT and reflect. Also Badon E non-reflectable O_O, lord help us all (ig its back to cleric cowl instead of hunter hood XD).
I agree with separate balancing for different content. But the tight-rope with that, is if I take a build to corrupted dungeons and feel *this* powerful, then I take that same build to mists and get stomped on by the exact same match up, that would feel bad and make the balancing feel unfair and confusing, especially to a newer player. More gear definitely needs to be more viable in more places, but with the way to game is built it really is an insane thing to ask for perfect balance, but it doesn't really work without it.
Idk man havent played for almost 6 months now but i feel like badon and warbow need all the buffs they can get they are somewhat higher skill level weapons but they arent anywhere close to the meta with all the shapeshifter and crystal weapons.
There already are weapons that deal different damage to mobs and players, they just have to do it with the others, or not put it in the description but say it somewhere else like X weapon does more damage to monsters or doing that once a dungeon closes your cooldowns are better, they can balance pvp and pve easily
I don't think it would. Let's say you want to do cd's --> there is only 1 thing you need to learn Not to mention that the weapons and items you use are already varying depending on the content. It would just add more variety

I don't know why more people don't talk about this but I believe the Dance between Buffs/Nerfs is so extreme for a few reasons: A) By nerfing the meta, it forces people out into the open-world again to spec up the new Meta. This keeps the world active and gets people out of their 700/700 Trees. B) Pay to play. Some people will literally buy tomes of insight, so it forces them up a new tree. This ensures SBI always have extra income coming in. As a business, it is a smart move. After they've essentially "forced you" to try a new build, they slightly bring it back so you can go back to your old meta with a slight nerf, or play the new enjoyable one (Ex Bow of Badon or Fire next patch, until they nerf them in a few months).
not reflectable means, play and think differnt instead of "oh i can reflekt it" 😅 and it make the fights more timefull. and for my part, I have never really seen reflection as a battle decision anyway.
Meh everyone crying about fire staff. I get one shot by craving easily. Bow can out range you. Everyone pretty much can country fire. Tbh reflect was so dumb, since as fire you just oneshot yourself because of 1 spell. Dumb. Not to mention daggers with restart meta. Hit and run.

Separate balances is such a bad idea. The whole point of the game is open world PvP. So they want to make it varied and changes to it to allow certain play styles to have a chance. Just have to change the way you play from time to time. I like it that way.

As a holy staff main, I've never really understood why hallow staff is so highly regarded. Sure, it's mobility is much better than other holy staffs, but the healing potential is kinda trash compared to other holy staffs. I main redemption btw

@@malachishaner690 have you done zvz and any other pvp content? you must be a pve player then, hallowfall is great in PVP fights that's why people use it more than any other holy staff. Its not the higher heal output that's make it great, its the ability to heal them as fast as possible. You wouldn't be able to provide a better heal to a clump when using a redemption btw
@@kimochi9223 I've played a ton of arena and crystal league when that came, and a little bit of 2v2 hellgates. And I've always out healed hallow staffs, usually by 10k+ too. I know redemption isn't great for zvz so hallow is definitely better in that, but if your in a zvz I would assume a nature staff would be a better healer in that right? But ya, you are right in that I don't do much pvp, especially not zerg stuff
this game s gonna loose tons of old players if it hasn t already, they removed and added and reworked so many things in the last 2years in which i ve been playing and lemme say, the only interesting thing they ve added in those 2 years is the upgraded static solo dungeons(butterflies), the static groupd dg rally and all the new weapons, everything else is either not polished enough for people to actually enjoy or just a copy of another activity already present in the game(abbeys being bigger scale corrupteds/mists being just avalonian roads with less rewards for pve and more pvp etc)
Instead of focusing on balancing so closely they need to focus on making more of the game accessible for people who don't want to lose all their stuff. I really enjoy playing in the roads, I do not however enjoy getting stomped on by every sweatlord that happens to see me and losing all my shit. They need to make more of the blackzone activities accessible in yellow zones and make a yellow zone instances for roads. They are truly hurting their player retention by locking so much of the game behind HC pvp mechanics. It'd be cool to see them implement a feature where maybe blackzones cycle through a yellow zone time period where maybe for 30 mins or for the day that blackzone becomes yellow, this could add alot of new gameplay to the game, it keeps risk in tact because if you're not paying attention you could get ganked either on the way there or out and if it's a short timer you could not get out in time when it flips back to blackzone. Something along those lines would keep so many more people playing the game, especially those that want to go deeper into the game without the frustration of sweat lord losers.
If you have ever played runescape (currently old school runescape) and went into the wilderness (like black zone in albion), you would lose everything except your 3 most expensive items on you. But if have a pvp skull (by attacking someone), you lose everything if you die. I thought something like that could be a great feature in albion. Perhaps lose what you are wearing, but keep your inventory in certain zones only. So some zones would be semi-loot, while other zones would be full-loot. I think that could be a bit more accessible.
@@yusi9437 i wouldn't even be opposed to still losing my inventory and whatever weapon I was holding just to keep some of that risk and reward in there, but I'm a casual player because I'm a parent, I love playing albion and want to do more stuff in it like blackzones, raids, all that stuff and more but I'm a solo player and playing in the blackzone as a solo player is a recipe for rage and a huge motivation to stop playing.

Your account of how reflect was buffed and nerfed doesn't take the biggest change reflect has ever had, which was it double dipping in damage increases of the people Example someone with 100% increased physical power hits someone for 100, that becomes 200, and the person they hit reflects 100% but also have 100% increase damage, making 200 now 400, and let's say the first player now reflects that it increases again from 400 to 800. I had double reflect with Hunter Hood and deflecting spin doing 6000 damage against crossbow in arena back in the day.

I've walked you on and off through the years you really are the face of the normal player I would say in this game in terms of approach to this game, and I think that's great. You started off so rough as a player, I mean no office by this, but your Pvp was so rough, but it was awesome seeing someone develop in this game that didn't come off as a sweetie try hard that needs to push leaderboards to have a following. I'd really know what I'm trying to say fully, but I think it boils down to a big thank you for showing me that literally everyone can improve in this game, and be very successful without being necessarily a perfect fit for it to start with. I've always been hyper specific in games, especially pvp games, and playing with a casual base I enjoyed more with personality, but hated because if people lack it really is rough, but you improving really helped me keep hope in some of the guys I play with that have gotten just more in line with me and how I play. Wouldn't be growing my guild which is at 100 active members and successful in its own right if I didn't believe in my members, and I wouldn't believe in my members if i wasn't able to see you grow into this game over the past several years however long it's been. Daggers, gloves, axes and swords are destroying bows in the mist, so when there is some kind of buff on bows you disagree, RUclipsr? Look at all the tier lists, bows are in decline. I really hope they level up the class, stop crying and accept that bows need change.

my biggest problem with the game and I have some experience but not an expert by any means. Had like 1.3 M fame which isn't too much I guess by guild standards but whatever. It seems like it takes forever to kill other players in pvp like you literally and I mainly saw this with battles on youtube (I did some arena though) .. battles on youtube is that they would literally last like minutes upon minutes and you would hit somebody damage and barely dent them. I think the defence and I could be wrong probably am, outpaces the offense way way greater than what wow or other mmorpgs do. For example in WoW a duel probably takes between 20-30 seconds max but like I said these can take 5 minutes to maybe 10 max the ones in BZ 1v1 etc. It feels like you have tanks with pee shoters on them, I also think its because of a limited move set so there isn't as much variants in damage abilities, I'm talking hot bars (in other words you can get as high dps because less moves to spam etc). That's my two cents I think anything that lets more damage in the game right now would be good overall.

Fiend sandal's buff is mostly for 5v5 HG and Crystal. Front to back is the meta in those contents and these shoes are already pretty strong for tanks

To be fair I've been absolutely dominating with Hallowfall in arena, if you don't have a hallowfall on your team you've lost from my experience.
A) arena is completely not indicative of PvP meta as arena is almost entirely noob filled
B) I pushed crystal rank with my friend on blight staff

I agree with separate balancing for different content. But the tight-rope with that, is if I take a build to corrupted dungeons and feel *this* powerful, then I take that same build to mists and get stomped on by the exact same match up, that would feel bad and make the balancing feel unfair and confusing, especially to a newer player.
More gear definitely needs to be more viable in more places, but with the way to game is built it really is an insane thing to ask for perfect balance, but it doesn't really work without it.
This will already happen tho. Mists build are really different from corrupted builds, mists is also not a real 1v1. Is 1v1vX.

Idk man havent played for almost 6 months now but i feel like badon and warbow need all the buffs they can get they are somewhat higher skill level weapons but they arent anywhere close to the meta with all the shapeshifter and crystal weapons.
Separate balances would be super confusing for new players.
Would destroy any hope of an easier learning curve. i think arena should be different in a few ways only.
There already are weapons that deal different damage to mobs and players, they just have to do it with the others, or not put it in the description but say it somewhere else like X weapon does more damage to monsters or doing that once a dungeon closes your cooldowns are better, they can balance pvp and pve easily
I don't think it would. Let's say you want to do cd's --> there is only 1 thing you need to learn

I don't know why more people don't talk about this but I believe the Dance between Buffs/Nerfs is so extreme for a few reasons:
A) By nerfing the meta, it forces people out into the open-world again to spec up the new Meta. This keeps the world active and gets people out of their 700/700 Trees.
B) Pay to play. Some people will literally buy tomes of insight, so it forces them up a new tree. This ensures SBI always have extra income coming in. As a business, it is a smart move.
After they've essentially "forced you" to try a new build, they slightly bring it back so you can go back to your old meta with a slight nerf, or play the new enjoyable one (Ex Bow of Badon or Fire next patch, until they nerf them in a few months).

not reflectable means, play and think differnt instead of "oh i can reflekt it" 😅 and it make the fights more timefull. and for my part, I have never really seen reflection as a battle decision anyway.
So reduce the amount of options and skill ceiling..
You cannot out damage a fire staff thats why the most common way to defeat one is to reflect.
Meh everyone crying about fire staff. I get one shot by craving easily. Bow can out range you. Everyone pretty much can country fire. Tbh reflect was so dumb, since as fire you just oneshot yourself because of 1 spell. Dumb.
Not to mention daggers with restart meta. Hit and run.

Separate balances is such a bad idea. The whole point of the game is open world PvP. So they want to make it varied and changes to it to allow certain play styles to have a chance. Just have to change the way you play from time to time. I like it that way.

Fire staff no longer reflectable? as a 120in normal 1h fire staff and every other fire staff 100/100 im all in! It was very hard to play it in 1v1 environments because everyone uses reflects

As a holy staff main, I've never really understood why hallow staff is so highly regarded. Sure, it's mobility is much better than other holy staffs, but the healing potential is kinda trash compared to other holy staffs. I main redemption btw

you must not pvp. Hallowfall is by a WIDE margin the best pvp holy staff
@@malachishaner690 have you done zvz and any other pvp content? you must be a pve player then, hallowfall is great in PVP fights that's why people use it more than any other holy staff. Its not the higher heal output that's make it great, its the ability to heal them as fast as possible. You wouldn't be able to provide a better heal to a clump when using a redemption btw
@@kimochi9223 I've played a ton of arena and crystal league when that came, and a little bit of 2v2 hellgates. And I've always out healed hallow staffs, usually by 10k+ too. I know redemption isn't great for zvz so hallow is definitely better in that, but if your in a zvz I would assume a nature staff would be a better healer in that right? But ya, you are right in that I don't do much pvp, especially not zerg stuff
this game s gonna loose tons of old players if it hasn t already, they removed and added and reworked so many things in the last 2years in which i ve been playing and lemme say, the only interesting thing they ve added in those 2 years is the upgraded static solo dungeons(butterflies), the static groupd dg rally and all the new weapons, everything else is either not polished enough for people to actually enjoy or just a copy of another activity already present in the game(abbeys being bigger scale corrupteds/mists being just avalonian roads with less rewards for pve and more pvp etc)
Instead of focusing on balancing so closely they need to focus on making more of the game accessible for people who don't want to lose all their stuff. I really enjoy playing in the roads, I do not however enjoy getting stomped on by every sweatlord that happens to see me and losing all my shit. They need to make more of the blackzone activities accessible in yellow zones and make a yellow zone instances for roads. They are truly hurting their player retention by locking so much of the game behind HC pvp mechanics. It'd be cool to see them implement a feature where maybe blackzones cycle through a yellow zone time period where maybe for 30 mins or for the day that blackzone becomes yellow, this could add alot of new gameplay to the game, it keeps risk in tact because if you're not paying attention you could get ganked either on the way there or out and if it's a short timer you could not get out in time when it flips back to blackzone. Something along those lines would keep so many more people playing the game, especially those that want to go deeper into the game without the frustration of sweat lord losers.
If you have ever played runescape (currently old school runescape) and went into the wilderness (like black zone in albion), you would lose everything except your 3 most expensive items on you. But if have a pvp skull (by attacking someone), you lose everything if you die. I thought something like that could be a great feature in albion. Perhaps lose what you are wearing, but keep your inventory in certain zones only. So some zones would be semi-loot, while other zones would be full-loot. I think that could be a bit more accessible.
@@yusi9437 i wouldn't even be opposed to still losing my inventory and whatever weapon I was holding just to keep some of that risk and reward in there, but I'm a casual player because I'm a parent, I love playing albion and want to do more stuff in it like blackzones, raids, all that stuff and more but I'm a solo player and playing in the blackzone as a solo player is a recipe for rage and a huge motivation to stop playing.
This is what the game dosnt need, mop heads crying and trying to make the game easier and less punishing, go play any of the other thounsand PVE games.

Your account of how reflect was buffed and nerfed doesn't take the biggest change reflect has ever had, which was it double dipping in damage increases of the people
Example someone with 100% increased physical power hits someone for 100, that becomes 200, and the person they hit reflects 100% but also have 100% increase damage, making 200 now 400, and let's say the first player now reflects that it increases again from 400 to 800.
I had double reflect with Hunter Hood and deflecting spin doing 6000 damage against crossbow in arena back in the day.

It was brutal you could almost be winning a fight and he 10% and just instantly lose to reflect if you didn't stop attacking. Your autos alone would chunk you so bad.

I've walked you on and off through the years you really are the face of the normal player I would say in this game in terms of approach to this game, and I think that's great. You started off so rough as a player, I mean no office by this, but your Pvp was so rough, but it was awesome seeing someone develop in this game that didn't come off as a sweetie try hard that needs to push leaderboards to have a following.
I'd really know what I'm trying to say fully, but I think it boils down to a big thank you for showing me that literally everyone can improve in this game, and be very successful without being necessarily a perfect fit for it to start with. I've always been hyper specific in games, especially pvp games, and playing with a casual base I enjoyed more with personality, but hated because if people lack it really is rough, but you improving really helped me keep hope in some of the guys I play with that have gotten just more in line with me and how I play. Wouldn't be growing my guild which is at 100 active members and successful in its own right if I didn't believe in my members, and I wouldn't believe in my members if i wasn't able to see you grow into this game over the past several years however long it's been.

I completely disagree with you. Bows have been out of the mist meta for a long time, they are countered by almost everything in this game. Daggers, gloves, axes and swords are destroying bows in the mist, so when there is some kind of buff on bows you disagree, RUclipsr? Look at all the tier lists, bows are in decline. I really hope they level up the class, stop crying and accept that bows need change.

They need to quit trying to balance every item in the game. The 3 core weapons should be the weakest. Next three 10% more. Avalonian 10% more than that. Crystal 10% more than that.

It made no sense to be able to reflect dots, so these are nice changes.
my biggest problem with the game and I have some experience but not an expert by any means. Had like 1.3 M fame which isn't too much I guess by guild standards but whatever. It seems like it takes forever to kill other players in pvp like you literally and I mainly saw this with battles on youtube (I did some arena though) .. battles on youtube is that they would literally last like minutes upon minutes and you would hit somebody damage and barely dent them. I think the defence and I could be wrong probably am, outpaces the offense way way greater than what wow or other mmorpgs do. For example in WoW a duel probably takes between 20-30 seconds max but like I said these can take 5 minutes to maybe 10 max the ones in BZ 1v1 etc. It feels like you have tanks with pee shoters on them, I also think its because of a limited move set so there isn't as much variants in damage abilities, I'm talking hot bars (in other words you can get as high dps because less moves to spam etc). That's my two cents I think anything that lets more damage in the game right now would be good overall.

Both of you dorks zeroed in on something irrelevant in my post; I was already humbly saying I don't have too much experience, but I played the game about 2 weeks roughly. Not all day like a nerd does but maybe 5 hours a day which is a lot for me at least. Also from what I posted I think I said something about what I learnt watching the meta or highest tier is true of what I said it's like a game of tanks but with a pee shooter attached to instead of regular tank round.
Lastly you ain't cool cause you can grind a game good no one has ever said man you grind so good at world of warcraft you cool, if you get any rep in a video game its where the skill level is high and grinding is just for mindless people who dont have much going on in there heads. Mindlessly going 12 hours same old same thing you have to be a zombie at that point.. I can't do it anyways take care congratz on your farmz

game has been bad in many years not worth it unless you wants to play at least 10 hours plus a day, the only thing the game is about is earning silver and the game is economy nothing else. to much requirement of discord if no discord nu team up , nobody plays PVE in black ,,,.to much focus on pvp .,what the fuck why , whats about old school chat is it taking to long for people , when i played Wow in old days chat was used so much ,,, and why all this tier 6 plus minimum for even get in a team in black region why ,, why loose more used silver for what 3 loots of another killed player then you die killed and must buy new tier 6 when killed ,what a stupid game ,thats why mammoth is a better economy than black. thats why i always use only riding horse tier 3 and only tier 4 equipment everytime in black ,there at least you will have a plus profit at least , people get killed in avalion roads to much when going for the chest down there ,in avalion roads with tier 6 it not worth it..and why all this focus on pvp fame kill for getting on a rank list i dont even wonna bother to use time on that
