- As technology improves, new techniques are developed to analyze and reanalyze fossils of long extinct animals to help bring them to life beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. One of those technological advancements, is the visualization of microscopic parts of the feathers and skin of ancient animals that helps to piece together the true colors they once carried.

"How much accuracy you want?"
Anchiornis: Y E S
The fact that pretty much all of this ancient animal's colour scheme is known is insane (and extremely rare, something that we may almost never find again)
I remember as a kid hearing constantly that we would never know the colors of dinosaurs.
It's amazing to see how far science has come.
Very cool. I drew Anchiornis once.
You can actually take images with a night quality 4K macro camera and you can see colors on certain fossils like I have found with a yet to be identified of a large 300kg rock fossil casting
Beautiful and colorful video, and radically different from what i gret up seeing dinisaurs shown as when i was a kid.
Anchiornis is the (second) edgiest dinosaur after microraptor
I subbed to your channel specifically because of this video. Amazing how far we've come in the science of paleontology!🎉 Keep up the good work btw. Should've subbed 2-3 years ago
Pre-alpha hairy woodpecker
Cache is pronounced CASH and NOT cashay, Cachet is pronounced cash-ay and means a VERY different thing.
13:30 where did you find that image? It's gorgeous!
0:29 Will we ever get a chroniosuchian video?
Such a colerful animal it was
Oh i like this new opening! Very smooth and sciency
I would love to see the most inaccurate one. It must be pretty funny 🙂
Probably had those colours for camouflage
Has colouring similar to pileated and ivory billed woodpeckers
For the al gore rhythm
For the big A ✊️
Fantastic video as always!! :) 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 ❤️💖❤️💖
Very cute!
I hope they do this for yutyrannus someday
After I saw this in the Colors Of the Anchiornis, I Partly still think the Anchiornis of Life in our Earth is for me in General is a little bit to blue so long its not a Mutation. I looked a little bit of to me .
Aww they're so cute.
Wild that we know some h even jf it's just a handful of species of the non avian or maybe avian dinosaurs
awesome little emo bird! 😁
So WHO is responsible for designating eumelanin (good) and feomelanin (ugly)? Someone who didn't like gingers.
Lmaoooo 😢😂

dino bird is redundant.
