Thanks, just ordered the Mouser BOM and looking forward to this project. There’s a few back ordered items, one out till April 22, 2024! I’m in no hurry though. Thanks for this hand holding video.

You're welcome! It's hard to keep up with what is in stock with mouser so that's good you have some time to wait and build. Enjoy!!

I’m currently working on my second diy pedal and come across this. The quality of your boards looks impressive. This may need to be my next build. Thanks.

Great Video - I have to order a couple builds. I want to recap a couple of my older pedals as well so I liked the tips on capacitor choice

Awesome!! I'm glad you found this video helpful. The solid (organic) polymer is the way to go. They will outlast us all

Good video. I clip leads before soldering.

That's good too! The heat transfer is less. Makes sense!

@@TheToneGeek I was taught that it prevents any mechanical strain on the solder joint when clipping.

@@sirbergersworth interesting! I believe it. I will try next time!

Interesting. I always clip after soldering, that just made sense to me for practical purposes but your reasoning sounds legit. If it’s a good solder joint and a quality board, that shouldn’t be an issue in reality.

Did you measure the voltages on the original? Where is the data about 4.5V? This is not a Tube Screamer.

It measures around 4.9v at the voltage divider. I should have used V+ or another way instead of stating 4.5v You're right
