The OTHER Big Middle East Airline! The Saudia Fleet In 2023

- When it comes to airlines in the Middle East, it’s most likely that three carriers come to mind: Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Etihad. These three airlines alone have come a long way in dominating the long-haul travel market, particularly when it comes to connecting Europe and North America, with Asia and Africa with single-stop itineraries in their respective hubs. But while these three carriers - collectively known as the ME3 - tend to make the headlines, there are many others in the region carving out their own markets while also competing with one another. Saudi Arabian Airlines, otherwise known as Saudia, is one of those carriers - and, it’s the subject of today’s video!

Saudia product is definitely up there with established long haul airline brands, but for its target customers, it mainly aims to serve KSA nationals and Muslim pilgrimage tours. However you can absolutely use them as a SkyTeam substitute to the ME3.
They’re becoming very competitive in the U.K. Great pricing, new planes and with great connections to the east. Also operating out of more airports now, deffo taking a chunk out of other gulf nation carriers
As a Westerner 🇬🇧 , I have flown Saudia many, many times, and always found them excellent. Not only are they polite to customers (unlike the notorious British Airways), but because they do not serve alcohol, they avoid the drunk British and American asses.
Saudi is a fantastic airline , caring and polite staff, I have travelled many times before and we have flights booked for next week.
SAUDIA is a very good airline. I never heard of it until summer 2022 and I couldn't be more satisfied with in-flight service during flight. Customer service online, via call, or via online chat - that's another story. They have to improve so much!!
Just booked to fly in the new year, LGW to KUL in business class. Much cheaper than all other ME carriers and no alcohol on board, no problem, as some one has posted, no chance of having drunken idiots on board. Looking forward to the flights.
I flew Saudi’s hundreds of times over almost 40 years. It is one of the best airlines whither you are flying short or long haul flights.
I flew from Jeddah to New York and my shortest trip was Riyadh/Damian.
My experience with Saudia was wonderful. I can't wait to jump on their aircraft again.
Didn’t the crew stop you from jumping, the first time ?
I was flying Saudia since 8 years ago I tried economy I tried business class I tried first class it’s all good Saudia is a good airlines
Thank you so much, been waiting for this one!
Thank you for featuring Saudia :-) I think the Saudi Arabian airlines services has improved a lot. :-) ❤❤
*31 a330s, since HZ-AQ30 was destroyed in sudan recently.
Darn
I did get sad when it happened especially since i’ve flown on it once
Sadly Saudia Airbus A330-300 (HZ-AQ30) was destroyed in the fighting in Khartoum, Sudan between the army and paramilitary.
Bit of a dark horse Saudia . They just go about their business without all the hype like their ME3 brothers. Very diverse fleet.
Can you do a video about how lease airlines work and make money please? The difference between wet lease and partial wet lease and other types of leases? Talk about airlines such as Titan, Smarlynx and Wamos?
That´s a good idea...
There's a video on their main channel, Simple Flying.
saudia is my favourite airline because i am from saudi and ive had amazing experiences with them i was on the 777 and it felt amazing they landed really smoothly and i didnt feel that we even landed i love saudia and i am still flying with them
Great video 🫡
I never knew there was a A330-300R.
me too.. heard about B747SR, B747D, or B777D for Japan domestic market, but A333-R is new for me...

Yup we received these leased ac last month malith aero Wamos
Saudia started flying to/from Birmingham, UK
Do Royal Brunei next!
Love you Saudia Arabia
Mbs long live
I’m from Europe and Saudia doesn’t offer a competitive product in comparison with Qatar, Etihad and Emirates. While all four airlines fly to the biggest airports in the area, namely Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich, there is a major difference in aircrafts. While other airlines use A350s, A380s, 777s and Dreamliners, Saudia solely sticks to A320s on 5+ hours flights. No way I’m stepping on that thing when there are so many great alternatives. And yes, those A320s might feature good seat pitches and an IFE, but to me, flying Widebodies is just so much more special than A320s you’ll find at any minor airport. Therefore, it seems quite ironic to me that thx fly A330s on short haul flights but send Narrowbodies to Western Europe.
Saudi Airlines serves important destinations in Europe such as Barcelona, Madrid, London (Gatwick, Heathrow) and Paris with wide-body planes. Unfortunately, the rest of the destinations are not popular, and they do not have a large market for Saudi users, and they cannot operate flights with wide-body planes except in the summer season. For your information, the narrow-body planes that are used for Europe have distinct seats that differ from the planes that are used for regional destinations
Hmm depends where in Europe, in the U.K. it’s always their new 787 widebodys which are great, we don’t get any small jets at any of airport seven smaller ones like Manchester/Birmingham. Jeddah really isn’t that far from say Italy/Switzerland/Spain so narrow jets make sense for 3-5 hour flights
Good airline ❤
Love saudia
Saudia’s A330 regional the only widebody in fleet doesn’t have a prayer room for more seats and short flight time
I think saudia it will focusing in Jeddah and medina for haij and omra and Riyadh air will take place in Riyadh instead saudia
Only 2 747 I have seen more than 5 in only in jeddah airport. Where did u get the data from
The true ME3. Emirates Airways, Qatar Airways, and Saudia Airlines.
Saudia is definitely a good airline
Like it
I like flying SAUDIA.. very safe no drunk peoples on board, modern aircrafts, good food and services
YEEEESSSS
KINDLY START FLYING TO AMRITSAR , INDIA ON DIRECT DAILY FLIGHTS PLEASE .
I flew Saudi once and I will never again. From Geneva to Jeddah and off to Kuala Lumper it was unpleasant. Arriving at Jeddah I went to stores looking at stuff and was well served by Philopenas but when asking information from the information desk being served by a Saudi was well crap. I waited in line and all the Saudis were well served. When it was my turn the Saudi info guy gave me, a look then got up and waked away before I could ask a question. The return was much the same. Further the staff of the airline were excellent but the clients were not.
After buying 49 b787.10
35 a321 neo
30 a320 neo
CEO Confirmed that they are negotiating to buy more than 50 b777x a350
What’s the point if the plane is a 787. Maybe if it was a 380 or 747 or 777X or even a350k. For sure
Saudi Airline we have our domestic headache
Reyad airlne is coming
i love saudia
Unless Riyadh is going do the super long haul destinations like Auckland and Sydney, they won't compete with Emirates and Qatar.
There’s a world outside Australia.
@@d.b.cooper1 I don't live in Australia
@@LoFIJak Never implied you did. Just saying the Australia route isn't really the back bone of gulf carriers, could easily still compete on all other popular routes enough to be an overall competitor in the short term. They already are for most of key far east routes/ south Asia/Africa in the past year almost always being the cheapest with flights from across the UK following expansion
8:29 I appreaciate that you pronounced "muslim" and "haram" right
Air India alone has 110 and 500 on order. Total 600.
Indigo has 320 and 500 on order.
The video about Saudi airline not India.
As long as there is Qatar, Emirates, and Etihad flying the skies, Saudia, or probably Riyadh Air too, will not be a consideration for the general flying audience.
And Turkish Airlines!
@@heidirabenau511 Yes!
You say that but recently Saudia tops the list when it comes to search engine flights results for many popular flights. Big difference in price for same planes with comfort will swing w lot of demand. Albeit not business travel. Especially as gulf carriers are expensive af & as we enter a recession
Bad connection 😅
Heard they have terrible connections times and sometimes you have to stay 9 or 10 hours to continue your journey onward. Plus you have to book a hotel and the airport hotels are not bookable internationally. You have to get there first. RUclipsr Non stop Dan had a weird reaction in one of the hotels, someone was knocking on his door in the middle of the night repeatedly and the front desk person was nonchalant about it when he mention it the following morning.
souldn't it be turkish airlines? Afterall they serve the most destination most countries
How dare you forget about Turkish Airlines!
They might be bigger but there marketing is poor. And they have a selective passenger demographic.
BRO U R FORGETING MIDDLE EAST BEST AIR LINE OMAN AIR 🇴🇲
Not an airline I want to fly.
It's because they call themselves a Dry airlines.😂😂😂 They can't even say non alochol airlines.😂😂😂
Yeah but it's a dry airline and Saoudi bad.
Fly with the State owned airline of a State which executes so many of its citizens. Thanks but definitely no thanks.
Nah I think I’d give it a miss if I had choice, I’m Christian and I consume alcohol…
SAUDIA is an extraordinary airline.
I would like to connect with you privately - kindly give me an email address. Thank you.
