There’s a new Architects song???? Oh my god we are so back!!! This is the best they’ve sounded in years! Edit: WTF HOW DID I MISS THIS??? Song came out in April and this is the first I’m hearing of it.
@@kakitangan195Love Josh but the 2 most recent Architects songs are great and so is the new Sylosis so both parties are doing fine. Plus it seems that there was no bad blood either since there is an interview of Sam giving praise to the new Sylosis stuff
So nice to hear sort of the “old Architects” tuning again. Most of their other new stuff atleast with Josh seemed to be Drop B which just never felt right to me.
Interesting combination for the blended amps, but it sounds so good. I did a tone recreation video for Seeing Red and uploaded the tone to the cloud, but i just ended up using the 5150 III for it. Going to play around with this one too, because I'm shocked they didnt just use the 5150, every time I've tried the Diezel Herbert by itself, I've found it hard to tame, combined with the Peavey 6505 seems to make it sound nice though.
Curse may be a cookiecutter modern metal track, but it's good. It still feels like Architects-to me-, it's got that Jordan Fish effect, and the riffage is to die for
The Quad Cortex is my dream modeler & now it has the Fortin Nameless!! Guess i need to go hold up that 🏦 down the road since Sweetwater wouldn't approve me for financing.
@@mitchellburns2999 Ali did this for years, we only recently changed to playing in unison with the guitars and the result is a much tighter sound overall. F#0/F0 ended up being too much low end with no definition, and lots of pick noise.
@@MaxTaylorGrant Totally understandable - It seems to be the the cut-off point for double drop bass . I asked the guys in ERRA - they concur it sounds too muddy once getting into F,E,D# ect. I personally just like the sound, though - ie. the band Currents. I love the aggressive low end growl of those songs in drop E, with double-drop bass , oh man!
The guitars are in Drop F but the strange Drop F that architects use (Drop B tuning but the 6th string it's tuned to F) The bass it's Drop B, as you can see during the breakdown Ali is playing the 6th fret on the 4th string that means that the note he's playing on a string tuned on B, would be F. But Adam it's playing on a "open note" (0 fret) cause his guitar it's Drop F. And besides that's the bass that Ali uses it's tuned in Drop B you can see him using it in others songs tuned in Drop B like Impermanence or Animals. (I'm not entirely sure, especially cause Ali is playing the 3th string open on the intro and if it's Drop B that note is F#, that makes me think the tuning can be A# too, I am open to any correction, I am just trying to find the right tuning like many others)
@@AyeFrknSn4pper Thanks, actually I saw better and Ali it's Playing the 7th Fret on the breakdown so definitely it's Drop A#! Maybe Ali is using a Pitch Shifter on this one idk.
No way the bassist played an architects song with a fender Edit: just realized this is architect's bassist. Still it's funny to me that he played a fender
Is Adam now writing for architects? Always thought Main writers were Tom and then Josh. Do they have a 2nd guitarist now again? I am a Little off with information about architects. Maybe somebody can help me out :)
The guitar is tuned to C Standard, with the low C string tuned down to F (6th and 5th string become an octave apart). They use baritone guitars and a much thicker gauge for the lowest string.
Love it when bands don't just copy/paste the guitar tuning to bass. This makes for more creative basslines. Even tho it's probably more out of necessity, because a low F on bass gets impractical.
Love the simplicity of live direct rigs, I gig like that myself, but I miss the intrigue of watching a rig rundown and seeing what amps/cabs/speakers/pedals/etc an artist would use and the reasoning for why. I find it a bit boring that every rig rundown for every artist is some sort of digital direct unit, ampless stage. It might be more interesting to do deep dives on what they have on their presets, what amps/IRs/speaker/mic/EQs they're using and why.
And that's just 1 thing. That intro was basically mush. All the upper notes in the beginning were buried. The vocals were buried too. Great playing as far as I can tell but meh otherwise.
😂😂 bro, they are a Nu metal band like the likes of Korn Linkin Park , Breaking Benjamin, and more if you think metal is just screaming your thinking of Death core and if not than your probably thinking about the 70s or 80s shred style
this is cool. ndsp pls feature more bands and their presets if you can

Drop B is kinda the OG Tuning though (at least after Sam entered). Plus this song is even deeper then the usual F# Architects Tuning.

Josh left Architects on good terms to focus more on his own band Sylosis. :)
Dan has been writing everything (I believe) and in an interview about the new song Whiplash, he talks about how he's picked up guitar
What tuning?
low string is tuned to F , and the rest are tuned as if it's drop A#
Thanks dude
How does he play 6 strings guitar on drop F without pitch shifter or octaver?
The guitar is tuned to C Standard, with the low C string tuned down to F (6th and 5th string become an octave apart). They use baritone guitars and a much thicker gauge for the lowest string.

how does the guitar becom so clear, i cant get the distorion out of the amp sim no matter how low i turn the gain
