Tere and Nelson you guys are great together, so much fun and pobre Teresita probably her hand were cramping, but was funny😊. Great video Nelson!!! Dulce.
Lol! She is not a tech person and she says she doesn’t have the patience and time to invest on doing a channel. It’s not easy creating and maintaining a channel. It takes loads of dedication, time, and money. It’s not for everyone.
😂 I can’t with you, I can't stop laughing every time everyone plugs in to buy plants, thank you Nelson to bring the video because with everything that is happening in the world I was able to disconnect and laugh at your and Teresita. You can't leave her outside when you go to the events the perfect duo. ❤love you and Teresita 😘🥰
Awe! I’m so happy we brought some joy to you. It’s good to disconnect from the noise all around us. The news keeps us in a depressive, hypnosis state. I want to be able to deprogram people’s minds into something more positive like nature. 🤗💚🙏🏼
I cannot with you 😂, such an orchid pusher....i will totally go bankrupt if I will do shopping with you....Terri is soooo me, i love her😊 I'm soooo happy seeing these beautiful blooms thank you so much for bringing us with you.
Hi Nelson, good morning. Hello to your friend Terri too. I wish I was at the fair too! So many flowers and everywhere too! Thank you to you both for sharing this video. Great video👍🫰😁💞
Last Saturday, I went to Fort Myers and got all excited to meet “C” from Sierra Madre and I told him I felt like I already knew him through your videos😍
Years ago I mistakenly retired to north central Arkansas and although I enjoy my summer sunflower and zinnia garden, your orchid channel gives me another reason I wish I had driven further south and retired in Florida. Orchids would have been the subject of my gardens, and I would have loved to meet you all at the shows!
Well it’s never too late. The more orchids lovers in Florida, the better! Perhaps pay us a visit at the International Shows. There will be one in January. 👍🏼
The Metal Artwork is Outstanding!!! And what Reasonable prices!!! Out here in Cali they'd be twice that price simply because it's Cali!! In February San Francisco has the yearly "Orchid Exposition", really a wonderful show and sale. A must for those of us out here. 😊
You definitely need to go next time. That garden is just so amazing. It has great energy. And the amount of orchids they brought was really good. This is their smaller show. The Orchids In Bloom show in March is their big show. That also lands on my channel’s anniversary. 🥳
What a beautiful place and orchid show to boot. Such variety to choose from and loved Creative Garden, sad fur baby story, people are awful. Terri had her hands pretty full, love it, she needs a buggy. Saw Smiley at Ft. Myers show, got a Aeranthes grandiflora, glows in the dark she said. She also said Nelson doesn’t have this one 😂😂😂. My show was smaller this year then last year🥴, but still had a good time. Thanks guys for a fantastic see all and sorry I missed it.💚💚💚💚
Omw ,i need to move to Florida😂we dont have enouch orchid vendors here and your vacations goodness me, absolute beauties!!Nelson ,i take my hat off to you for your control. I wouldve been worse then Terry.😂😂😂😂. Terry you are a treasure hun and a good shopping buddy❤. 🛍
Florida is the place to be for orchids hands down. There are multiple orchid shows running everywhere in Florida. Last week there was like 5 big shows at the same weekend. From Orlando to the Redlands where I live.
Ok Terri’s “orchid math” is hilarious. 2 dens for 30 is worth it and it doesn’t count bc it’s dendrobiums. Lolol. I was cracking up the whole video with your comments back and forth. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t make it earlier. See you guys soon at the next one!! It’s too much fun. 🥰
It’s a constant back and forth. lol! I told you earlier is better. The park is very big but all the vendors are in one area so it can get a bit congested with shoppers. I love going there. It brings back great memories. The energy in that place is so intensely good. It calms you. 🤗
Oh thank God I'm not the only one. I was starting to think something was wrong with my phone. Strange I do get notifications from Orchid 365 and Melissa. Hope they fix this soon... Btw terrific video
Hi Nelson😁🙌You said you wouldn't buy anything, but I knew you would😅🙌💖And I would have too. There were so many beautiful dendrobiums, and cattleyas. Oh, and I heard you ask if I'd like the cacti with the dye, and to be honest, not so much because I think cacti already have gorgeous color in their spines🥰🙏I had so much fun listening to you and Terry🤭🙌💖'Keep it green'😊🙌💚
It’s hard not to buy anything at these shows. I only really bought 2 things. The other orchids were gifts from vendors. I also forgot to show the art I got from the Steel Drum artist, Artizana Inspire. Maybe best time I do a haul or what’s in bloom. I honestly am not a fan of dyed plants and orchids. But I did find all the colorful cacti very pretty. But I myself would not buy one. I’m a purist when it comes to plants. No food coloring for me.
Nelson! Great video, as usual. I wanted to mention that Mikey Mouse plant. You should keep it in the pot until spring so that it doesn't get chilled while it's trying to get acclimated... just a suggestion. Thanks for bringing us to the show with you! 0
For the mickey mouse u need to keep it moist. Make sure it is somewhat moist all the time. It can handle full sun if u acclimate it. Or else itll burn. These r bulb so they can go dormant during winter but if u keep it warm it should keep going. Try not to have water sitting on the leaves too too long or thatll cause damage. If the older leaves start to yellow dont worry yet as long as its just one. Let it die off cut the dead and u should have a new leaf coming anyway. The Mickey mouse is a xanthosoma and its always variegated unlike the alocasia sting ray which is always green unless ofc u find a variegated one. The leaf shape is different though yes they both have tails. I wouldnt seperate the babies from unless mom is running out of room. Their roots dont like being bothered so if ur doing any seperating be gentle. I also wouldn't worry about hunting for corms if ur not gonna be running a mickey mouse business xD. Get more comfortable w the genus first then u can allow urself to mess w it further. For 25$ thats a decent price to try again. Also if ur plant goes dormant just leave it be. If its in the ground maybe dig it up n pot it to keep it warm n humid til u get growth. Once its strong enough u may replant it back. If it drops all the leaves don't think uve killed it. As long as the bulb isnt mushy ur ok :) goodluck!
Great! Great! Great advice! Thank you so much. I have it in the shade house and so far it’s looking amazing and already shooting a new growth. I appreciate you🫶🏼
Lisette Cedeno is a graduate of Dreyfoos School of the Arts High School in West Palm Beach Florida. I looked her up and saw the beautiful work she designs. She will be showing her collection for sale at Mounts Botanical Gardens, West Palm Beach, FL "Plant-A-Palooza" Fall Plant Sale Nov. 4-5, 2023.
Hi Nelson. Something is happening with the notifications. I don't receive notifications from you anymore. If I don't go on youtube I don't see thatbyou were on!
I hear that allot. It’s RUclips. They never get it right. When I do my lives it’s the same thing. Nobody is getting notified. We tested out with Josh’s phone the day we went live. Josh never got an alert.
Cattleya res? I think that was a Rex. like my old chinese boss could literally not pronounce rice. Very funny since they can pronounce range rover but when it comes to rice, that just seems impossible to pronounce. PS: did you see the roots on the Rlc Pauwela charm? That plant had mites (42:45). They will have been all over that pot when you picked it up. They are microscopic, you just see the damage they cause. Just think how many pick up a plant to look at it, then go over to another booth, look at another pretty flower and the mites go crawling from your hand on to the next plant.
You are correct on the cross contamination. I hate to tell you its more common than not. You may be cross contaminating pretty much any plant at big fairs. Hundreds of thousands of hands. I usually carry pocket sanitizer and constantly sanitize my hands. When I’m filming obviously I can’t. But most of the time I try to keep my hands very clean. Being that most of these shows are held in botanical parks and gardens, the orchids are exposed to many different trees and plants. That’s why it’s very important to spray your orchids when you bring them home. It’s pretty much inevitable to avoid it unless they put orchids behind a glass casing and that is just not realistic. I went back to look at that clip and honestly I did not see the mites you are mentioning. Specially since you said their microscopic. I just didn’t see them.
Nelson; You mentioned building an Orchid bed in the Front Yard? May I suggest anchoring it with a _Large Plumeria in the center. Just imagine all the side branches with Orchids hanging. Regarding Prehistoric look Paphs.. buy a Paph. venustum var. alba. It's pouch looks like a BRAIN :)
I live plumerias. I have several in the ranch. Unfortunately the crazy winds in my location destroy the leaves sometimes. They are also prone to heavy fungus and other diseases. The one I have in the front of the house is like 5 years old and it’s broken in half 3 times already due to the winds. Really ridiculous.
Thanks so much for long video. You guys are awesome.😂😍
You’re very welcome.
I love your channel because i can watch beautiful orchids for hours 😄
Awe!! Thank you so much. 🤗

Love the videos! You do a great job! I want that den. Lauian brown orange lip but Vicky’s orchids doesn’t ship! 😢
It is a great Dendrobium. One of my very top favorites. Many vendors have them. Try Krull Smith or RF Orchids.
I think Terri is making "orchid math" a thing 😂
I stand by that!😂
